Mar 17, 2015

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a beautiful lady who wants the world to realise that we need to break the good girl rules, and to become authentic to ourselves.

In short stop playing the roles that people expect you to play, and instead be who you are and what you were put on this world to be.

Back in 1982, she entered and the Miss USA competition by doing just that.

At the end of the competition she was asked by the host Bob Barker "“So what do you do in Cabot, Arkansas, on a Saturday night?”

And instead of getting the answer "I spend time looking after injured animals, and teaching the homeless algebra" she answered with "“In the summer, we cruise up and down Main Street.  Then we go to the Tastee Freeze, sit on the back of my friend’s pickup truck, he plays the banjo, and the guys drink a little beer and dip a little Skoal.  It’s a real good time.”

And guess what arise 1982's Miss USA

She is the author of several books, including “The Enlightened Mom: A mother’s guide for bringing peace, love and light to your family’s life,” WINNER ~ 2011 Best Spiritual Book of the Year at both New York and San Francisco Book Festivals, and has the mission is to help you let go of society’s rules that tell you how to ACHIEVE love, happiness and success, and, instead, honor and love the way you were created.

So does she remember planning her answer to Mr Bob Barker before hand, or was it something that she just had on the tip of her tongue and blurted it out?

And obviously with the glamour that comes with winning a prestigious competition such as Miss USA, did she enjoy the trappings and the aforementioned glamour, or was it simply living a dreamlife that she was pleased to leave behind.

Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Terri Britt.
