Todays guest has a fascinating story, which touches on many areas of physical and emotional heartache and obstacles.
When he was just five, our guest fell over 30 feet off a bridge and spent over three weeks in a coma.
Fortunately the only damage he received from this fall was a loss of hearing in his ear.
Because of the relearning he had to do, including walking, he was always picked last for sports, and picked on the most.
You would have thought at this point he would have lashed out and fought back with resentment, but that would have been nowhere near the truth of what happened.
Instead, he enrolled in karate and in a very short time achieved black belt status, to became a teacher.
In his words he says “Looking back, while I taught the mechanics of kicking and punching, what really excited me was helping the students understand their inner strength and believe in themselves again.”
He had found his path in life, but now just had to find a way of channelling his passion.
And that is where his wife and business partner comes in and with a fascinating journey of her own, taking her from a childhood growing up in China, to the culture shock of a life in America.
In the states she pursued education with a passion, and studied to become a dentist, finally owning her own very successful practice.
And that for many would have been job done, but like her husband she felt something was missing.
She felt drawn to creating a better world for others.
And so together this powerhouse of a married team, have taken it on themselves to create their own business built around coaching, podcasting, writing and being hugely positive to create a future that is 100% percent unique to themselves.
