Todays guest is a man who has had moments of huge darkness in his life, but has made sure that the situations that he unwittingly found himself forever linked to, were never going to define him.
On a cold and misty morning in October 1975, our guest woke up as a scared and bewildered 5 year old, to discover that his mother was gone.
She was the first victim of the notorious Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe who for several months had struck fear into the heart of the United Kingdom as he preyed the streets of Leeds looking for unwitting victims.
What made this mans journey so amazing was that his first reaction, even at such an early age, was to think about how he could improve his situation.
He knew he couldn’t bring his mother back but he could decide how to look differently at what life had thrown at him.
And since that date, he has moved through many different areas where his personality has changed due to the challenges that he has overcome, not least deciding that he could forgive the man that took so much from him.
And now with several bestseller books, a movie of his life, and over 200 hundred powerful speeches and presentations across the globe each year, he has defined himself as who he is, not who he was.
So lets bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only Mr Richard McCann.

Todays guest is a man who seems to be born to be an entreprenenur.
Pure hustle muscle, flexing at its best is what he is about, mixed in with a huge amount of wanting to enjoy what he does.
And it seems to me that he managed to do just that too.
From starting in quite humble beginnings selling bed linen at Macey's, he blossomed quickly to selling Popcorn from a stall in a shopping mall, and then working for some of the biggest most famous companies in the world.
And with a resume listing Microsoft and Facebook as companies that saw the drive that he had, and the ability to work tirelessly in a chaotic environment, the sky should have been the limit for him but life had other ideas.
When he was 24, he was hired as Facebook's 30th employee.
He joined the company when it was one year old; it had a few million users and was getting 50,000 new signups per day, and upon being offered employment he was given two salary options : He selected the one he wanted, and the stock options would have made him worth about $185 million today, however that was irrelevant as nine months later he was fired.
And although a kick in the teeth financially, this disappointment as we see time and time again on Join Up Dots could have turned out to be the best thing that had happened to him,.
He reassessed his dreams, performance and chosen path leading him now to being the Chief Sumo at AppSumo.com, an online provider of digital goods and tools such as the kind of apps, that can teach and educate on a wide range of subjects.
Amazingly it was originally created in one weekend using an outsourced team in Pakistan for $60.
He hustled and bootstrapped the company, eventually accepting limited outside funding, including a "staggering" $20.47 from his mother, Debra
So what made him realise that this was the thing that he should focus on?
And what is the different between the man he is today and the one that left Facebook quicker than he probably expected?
And how come he didn't let me into the amazing resource he has developed called Sumome.com?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only Mr Noah Kagan

Have you ever wondered what it must feel like to be an inspiring pop star and wander around in the aerified world of celebrity and success.
Or be a tv host, or media personality.
Well todays guest entrepreneur has done all those things, and most amazingly has created jobs in those worlds pretty much by herself.
She has got off her backside and since a young girl has flexed her hustle muscle like very few people do.
Total motivation to earn income, freedom and the best type of career success all by herself.
She first came to attention as the co-host of Style Network’s Modern Girls Guide to Life, and has moved effortlessly through the fashion world teaching ladies and brands how to look a million dollars for less than one hundred bucks.
But before that she earned her stripes as a production Assistant with Saturday Night Live whilst just starting college.
And this seems to say a lot about her.
She saw an advert for a super cool gig, and instead of thinking "I bet thousands of people go for that" and giving up before starting, she picked up the phone, made that call, and got the job.
See inspiration and belief mixed with hustle!
But is not just fashion that has taken up her time as she has also toured the country with NASA fronting a math/science rock band, was featured in the Sundance award winning film, We Live in Public, and god this intro could be fifteen minutes long if I keep going with what she has going on.
So where has she got this boundess enthusiasm to keep on kocking on doors, and of course building doors herself?
Where does she feel her true talents lie?
And why does she feel the need to sing all the way through American Idol much to the annoyance her roommates?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only Jess Zaino

Todays guest is not a normal type of guy. He does things his way, even to at the age of 61 going back to graduate school and getting a Masters in Creativity and Innovation, when to be honest the majority of us are glad that education finished in our teens.
What makes this even more unusual is that this is a guy who has started and run several successful companies, ranging from a novelty manufacturing company, to Terrasanti a natural wall product made from American Clay, which has won many awards over the last few years
He classes himself as a life term entrepreneur, but its the fascination for continued education that is so inspiring, as 10 years ago when he sold his novelty manufacturing company moved to a new town in California and spent the next 3 years getting a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and mixed media from Sonoma State.
So, after a career of artistic business, creative enterprises and entrepreneurial ventures, he decided to delve into where creativity comes from, how to make innovation happen in organizations, and how anyone can tap into creativity, the number one quality that CEO’s now look for in new hires.
With a world changing this fast, business knows they must build a culture to sustain creativity and innovation to change... or die.
So where does our guest find his continued passion for new experiences?
And where does he get his ideas for the new and exciting from?
Well, lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only Mr Rick Kantor.

Todays guest is the bestselling author of “Crush It with Kindle” and host of the top ranked business and marketing podcast “Publish Position Profit.”
He is an online marketing expert, entrepreneur, speaker, business coach and founder and CEO of the Strategic Positioning Press publishing house.
And believe me this guy is not your normal podcaster like me, because he is clever…really clever like he attended both Cambridge and Oxford universities.
As he had a desire to be a corporate lawyer, with the big office full of dusty books, and the very attractive paralegals hanging on his every word.
But as we see time and time again on Join Up Dots, the path that people set out on as they reach adulthood turn out to leave them feeling flat.
They realise along that path that they need and want more in life.
Today, instead of being chained to his desk at a law firm, John now works with experts and entrepreneurs from around the world helping them to strategically position themselves so that they can rapidly grow their businesses by attracting more of their ideal clients and by being able to charge what they are truly worth.
His mission is to help experts and entrepreneurs share their message with the world so that they can build a successful business doing something they love, live life on their terms and inspire others.
So what was it about the life of a lawyer that turned out to be wrong for him?
Why did he decide to go to two British universities….was it just about access to the student bar?
And does he feel that now he is on the path that is right for him?
Well let’s find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots, the one and only Mr John Tighe.

Abuse, both mental and physical, the stripping away of self esteem, the taking away of bright futures that should be a child’s right.
Leaving many with no other option than to feel they have to take their own lives.
He understands how they feel, as for many years he was just like them.
Trapped in a dark world as a child, that no child should endure.
He tried to take his own life many many times, and thank god he didn’t succeed, as he is know fighting back.
His entrepreneurial journey has led him through many different dots, and its the joining of his dots that are so remarkable.
Remarkable as with each step he has taken into the light, his own personal light is burning brighter and brighter and now with his Human Project he is blazing a path for millions to follow.
As he says on his blog “I work daily to spread the message of H.U.M.A.N.; HOPE, UNDERSTANDING, MAKING A CHOICE, ACTION STEPS and NOURISHING THE POSSIBILITIES. I work with youth who are looking for new hope and a new path. Youth that refuse to let their surroundings dictate their outcome. Youth that want to become more then they are shown, told or given the resources to become. Youth that are willing to take action and make choices their parents were not able to do in their lives. My mission is to eliminate the words, “broken”, “worthless” and “victim” from the children’s vocabulary we reach. I speak all over the United States to children educating them on their REAL options in life. Informing them that all they must do is dream, act and nurture the possibilities to achieve ultimate joy.”
Before I have even spoken a word to todays guest, I can say that he is a total inspiration to me, and so its with a huge honour that I bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only Wesley Chapman.

Today's guest joining us on the show is the host of As Told By Nomads podcast, and is one of those people that I asked to come on the show, and then started researching them and thought "Man....I'm glad that I have got him coming on".
He has a dream to not just improve his lot, or that of his clients, but he is taking on the world.
He wants to bring the four corners of the globe together to get people to accept our differences, both physically and culturally.
But where did this mission come from?
When did he decide this was needed to be done and he was the man to do it?
Well unusually he had a huge education growing up, for as a child he grew up in four different continents.
He has called Sweden, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Vietnam and the United States home and so considers himself a true citizen of the world.
He wants to celebrate uniqueness and encourage diversity, build global mind-sets, tell stories about culture and most importantly to educate the world about the beauty in all of us and how we can work together to improve our global identities."
And with a podcast that is soaring up the charts "As Told By Nomads" and an inspiring online presence he is certainly a man on a mission to achieve this aim.
And its an aim that will put many people to shame who think about doing something and say to themselves "Nah, that will never work so what's the point"
So lets bring on the show, to start joining up the dots, the one and only global nomad himself, Mr Tayo Rockson.
For more information on Tayo Rockson go to.
As Told By Nomads
As told by nomads features interviews with global nomads. Third culture kids, and entrepreneurs discussing what it takes to be global leaders.

Todays guest is a man who knows how to get into a ladies head, and understands what makes a woman tick.He has become a novelist, who focuses on content written from a females perspective, for women to enjoy.Growing up in a household that was dominated by strong female characters, he felt that he had beeen given the perfect education to step into the womans world. As he says "My mother and three aunts, each with their own unique temperament and assortment of quirks, had a profound affect on me as a child".And so he found his path with his debut novel "Teenie" being met with huge critical acclaim. But it wasn't an easy path, as he has worked as an equities trader, beverage salesman, amusement park ride operator, human resources manager, actor, voice actor, chauffeur, and public speaker across the city of New York.So how did he get the realisation that it was time to put pen to paper in a style that I imagine would be quite difficult for a man to create? And now with his second novel "Genesis" about to be released in 2015 what has he got lined up for the future? The latest all conquering "Fifty Shades Of Grey" or just more quality writings by a man who knows his stuff?Well lets find out as I bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only Mr Christopher Grant.

Todays guest is a lady who believes quite firmly in the words of Steve Jobs that we play on the show everyday.
You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.
She calls it intuition, but it's all the same thing really.
Finding the thing that lights you up inside and going for it, even if it takes you off the well worn path and into new unchartered territories.
But why was it that until quite recently, she hadn't followed the path that was true to her.
She had travelled the path that so many of us follow...the expected one.
The one that we are told to.
As a child she was constantly told that it was alright having passions, but they were not a career.
Nursing would be a good job. We always need nurses.
So she become one, and also became physically ill for an entire year, unhappy and completely lost because she wasn’t living her purpose.
She now runs from her home in Las Vegas the "I Love Intuition" movement, where she helps purpose driven leaders strengthen and trust their intuition and creativity to create soulful and successful lives and businesses.
Simply put she helps her clients find their strengths and passions and build businesses around them subsequently allowing them to have a kick ass life.
So why was it that the things that she obviously has a talent for, were for so many years put on the back burner?
What was it about her life that really made her fall to pieces and know that she had to change direction?
And as she lives in Las Vegas, can she get me Barry Manilow tickets?
Well let's find out as we bring on to the show to start joining up dots the one and only Christina Ambubuyog

Todays guest calls herself "A mom with a towel"
She doesn't consider herself a celebrity, she isn't a millionaire, but she is someone who had a thought, transferred that thought into action, and created a business that is growing year on year.
A few years back she had an idea for a towel with a difference.
Such a different in fact that she was featured on ABC’s Emmy nominated reality show, Shark Tank, the US equivalent of our UK based version Dragons Den.
You know the programme, when some wannabe inventor or entrepreneur steps up to the plate and tries to convince the sharks or dragons, that their product is gold and worth investment.
Well our guest quite simply shone in the spotlight and ended up having three “Sharks” fighting over her and is the only entrepreneur in the show’s history to ever leave with a check in her hand.
Her towel has now also been featured on The Today Show, The View and Good Morning America.
Her story is one of overcoming huge challenges and obstacles and going for it.
As she says time and time again "Dream it, Believe it, Let it Go.”
So what made this extraordinary mother decide that an idea she had was one worth persevering with?
How did she overcome those huge obstacles, not least the fear of failure?
And what was it about this item that made the sharks go into a feeding frenzy?
Well lets find out as we bring on to the show, to start joining up dots, the one and only Shelly Ehler
