Jack Canfield knows a bit about creating success in his life, with book sales in the millions. So its a delight as we do every weekend, to go back in time and dip into the Join Up Dots vaults to find a show that could well be hidden from your ears in this case Mr Jack Canfield.
And why do we do this? Well, you success junkies desperate for the golden ticket have been asking "With so many episodes of Join Up Dots out there now, which ones should we listen to first?
And its a difficult question to answer as everyone of them has motivation and inspiration flooding out of every pore. So we have simply decided to grab an entrepreneur at random, and share with you not only their journey, but also ours. We think we are getting better at this podcasting lark, but what do you think? Drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know. Thanks as always for listening to the show, and enjoy todays entrepreneurial business chat.
Today’s guest quite simply needs no introduction, but hey what kind of host would I be if I didn’t build him up for the big entrance?
Well lets start with saying its rare that you will see a bookshelf or a library that doesn’t have one of his publications sitting amongst their ranks.
He is the author of the astonishingly successful series of books, that are the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series, that has been sold the world over, and counts sales as somewhere beyond 500 million copies worldwide.
And the fact that Oprah can hardly state three words without speaking about her love for this book, then you know he has created something special.
But his life hasn’t always been one of success, and with three marriages under his belt and a less than spectacular start to his professional life, he knows both sides of what makes a fully realised life.
He has worked for a living as a psychotherapist, an educational consultant, and a trainer to name a few, but it was when he met Mr Mark Victor Hansen co-author of the Chicken Soup Series that things started to move in the direction that he visualised for himself.
And through those life experiences, or up and downs, successes and failures, he learnt the Success Principles, that he found were the key to create the life that you want.
And now ten years later from it first being released, he is re-publishing it, with greater insights as to what can make an amazing life, he is a man on a vision.
So does he see the up and downs are actually the key points to what gives a life success, are they the foundations to maintain the momentum gained?
And does he get told by every waiter in the world “Ah Mr Canfield, I expect you want to have the Chicken Soup tonight, ho ho ho!”
Well let’s find out as its with delight, that we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Jack Canfield.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who I’ll be honest I should have had on the show along time ago. As he is someone that quite simply can put me in my place, and show us all how to create a podcast, a podcast movement and still have his own hair and teeth in the process. Nobody said it was easy after all! Starting his career back in 1995 on Tunbridge Wells Hospital Radio, it was obvious that he had set out on a path that was always going to be his own. One linked to his love for radio, and one that was linked with his passion for content creation. Then in 1997 things started to get serious, as he started seeking out work experience with many of the household names that make up national UK radio, and it’s more localised stations. He worked for BBC World Service, Capital Radio, TalkSPORT, Sunrise radio, 101.1 Rock Radio in Manchester, and even Kool FM, before he realised that in all likely hood he was going to end up building someone else’s dream if he didn’t take the leap and go for it on his own. And this he did by launching Music Radio Creative, a company that provides jingles, voice over talent, and script editing for anyone with a desire to create a podcast or radio programme too. Radio stations to your humble podcasters, have saught out his knowledge of everything sound related, and positioned him very much front and centre of the UK podcasting scene. And now with his wife Izabella, and his ever expanding family, he has taken this profile and launched the UK Podcasters Community and The New Media Europe Conference too. He is nothing but busy I can tell you. So with so many career jumps in his life, was he always on the path to where he is today, or is it one that is totally unexpected? And does he feel that being an entrepreneur in 2016, especially in the world of New Media is still wild west time, or just a walk on the golden sands of life? Well let’s find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mr Mike Russell.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man, who unlike so many people really started creating his dream as soon as he could. He left school at 16, with no network and no idea what he would do. He just knew he couldn’t keep going through the motions anymore. Even though it was extremely scary, he had to forge his own path, to start living the life that he wanted, on his own terms. As he says "I've always been a believer in doing what you love and building life on your terms. And since leaving school at 16, I've been doing that with my life. Since then, I’ve done two programs with Seth Godin, played in professional poker tournaments, traveled through 10 countries in 2 years, and started a marketing agency in Singapore with clients such as Wacoal Singapore and QuickBooks Asia. Now, I host PassionBlueprint, where I share the stories of people who have taken the step out to do what they love - to inspire and help others do the same. It seems as if our guest has 100% the same belief as your friendly neighbourhood UK Podcaster, who sees a world that is just going through the motions And why should you do that, when you have the ability connect with people across the world that you have have never had before. You have the use of technology at your fingerprints more powerful than we have ever had before? And we have more people showing us the way to build a life of your dreams, if you only decide on what you want to do! Well lets ask some questions then, such as.... Why at the age of 16 did he feel that he had been coasting, when I would suggest that the world is expected to coast at that age, and just stumble into a job, any job? And now he has done it, does he see an easier path that he could have taken, or was the work ethic required to really get where he wanted to be? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Derrick Kwa

Todays show was inspired by a conversation with a listener of Join Up Dots who has become a great friend in a very short time.
Mr Neil Hughes from the Tech Blog Writer Podcast connected with David Ralph and shared the side hustle he was working on which has gone from strength to strength.
He is known across the world as the go to expert in everything startup and technology, and brings a podcast to the ears of his listeners who are fascinated by this subject every week.
He has a business that when he finally quits his corporate gig, is waiting for him.
And why has he gone off like a rocket and found his audience so quickly?
Well right from the beginning he has cleverly defined himself.
He has allowed himself to be 100% clear with what he is interested in, and what he can bring to the table.
The world will respond more to your interests than they will the individual skills.
They will be able to see the passions that you can deliver which will bring about the biggest results for themselves.
And that is what makes a business fly.
Not money, but results.
And that is how success is built!

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a lady that has been delivering musical performances to the world since the age of seven, and I can imagine was belting them out in her bedroom even earlier than that too.
She grew up on a farm in Missouri, and could often be found hanging around the local rodeo stadiums, where she would delight in such activities as Barrel racing, and getting up on stage and singing the National Anthem to the cowboys, cowgirls and of course the audience.
There was certainly a ballsy approach to her upbringing as a small child, that has led her to take on bigger and bigger challenges as she has grown.
And those challenges have come often as she has stepped into the country music world with her well received singles “Not Pretty Enough” and the foot stomping back to rodeo roots “Cowgirls”, whilst also forming a band and playing everywhere she can.
Its the live work, that really sharpens your tools, and turns your talent into something that the world ultimately takes notice off.
But don’t just think that this is a story that is about a hugely ambitious country starlet racing her way to the top, as she is also trying her hardest to give back to the world with a cause she is hugely passionate with, stopping bulling in childhood.
As she says “When I started doing rodeo pageants, I received a lot of criticism and backlash from other kids. It was a difficult time, but thanks to the support I had with friends and family, I was able to overcome that time period. If I can help just one person feel like they are not alone, and that things will get better, then I will have accomplished what I set out to do.”
And with a tour of schools undertaken, to speak about bullying she is taking action and inspiring youngsters throughout America to do things a different way.
So what was it about growing up in such a rough and tumble environment that has helped her on her way to Country stardom?
And can she remember how she felt on those early occasions standing on the rodeo stages and the spotlight turning in her direction?
Well let’s find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots, with the one and only Josey Milner
During the episode we discussed such weighty topics such as:
How when she started in the music business she knew she had to have a plan, as she also knew that she didn’t have a clue how to start anything, so just took lots of action.
How she remembers how she lost so many friends at college due to her belief in herself and their obvious lack of belief in themselves.
How she struggles with song writing and is scared that the process is going to be hard every time she starts.
How you have to look after yourself when you are school, and sometimes it simply comes down to standing up for what you believe is right.
How she looks back at the bullying in her life as actually part of what has made her flourish in a hard industry such as the music business.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who I first saw on YouTube and thought in an instant “I want this guy on Join Up Dots” as he is on the search for happiness. Which is great. But as like most the guests who have made up over 60o conversations, that initial thought of “I like what this guy is doing” only touches the surface of his work. He is a Writer, filmmaker, actor, TEDx speaker, multiple award-winning self-help author, poet, children’s author, radio personality, finisher of over 50 triathlons (including 4 Ironman distance races), cross-country bicyclist and someone that believes in waking people up. Yes, he is a man with a similar mission to Join Up Dots Come on people, you are only on this planet once, so lets get going. Lets take a step into the scary zone and see what we can deal with. In addition to writing, speaking and acting in TV and film, he enjoys creating his own projects that carry inspiring, positive and conscious messages. His most recent project was the short film Searching for Happiness, which is now online and can be watched on his website and YouTube. The story focuses on an unhappy man, alone and unloved, who struggles to find meaning in his black and white reality. While over the course of a day, he learns that it is through kindness and our connection to others that we find true happiness. So how does one man wake up himself to start going after something so much bigger than what one could hope to achieve on their own? And has he truly found happiness, or is this a search that will never end? Well lets find out as we bring onto to the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr happiness himself....G Brian Benson

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is an a man who connected with me to request to be on the show. And this request was very different from most pitches that come through to me that says "David, I should come on to your show as I created a business in my downstairs toilet, and within 30 minutes was making six figures per month!" No, No, No, that is not how it works, or at least not for the majority of the world, who decide that it is time to create their own income. Our guest nailed it when he told me "David, the first time I tried starting a business, I thought one juju priest from Africa placed a ‘curse’ on me. I failed at almost everything. I tried all the stuff the ‘gurus’ said I should. I blogged 7 times a day, promoted my blog post like crazy, I started a podcast, I created multiple infographics, I spent hours on social media,I wrote a book, I did cold email , I did influencer marketing, I did LinkedIn marketing, in fact, I did 1000’s of things. I did everything NOT to fail but I failed WOEFULLY! I learned something from my experience. Most of this self-acclaimed ‘gurus’ are ‘talkers’, they are not ‘doers’. What I did immediately was to stop taking advice from the ‘wrong’ people. Most so called ‘gurus’ don’t even take their own advice. So, I asked myself this question. ‘What makes the most important ‘thing’ in a business?’ I had to ask the right questions to get the solution to my ‘problem’. And that friends is how it works. You look for the 80/20 in your business, and then start solving others problems, and you are up and running. And that is what happened to our guest, and now he has a flourishing business called Clients Attraction where he shows the world 1: How To Package & launch High Ticket Program That Attracts Your Ideal clients 2: How To Consistently Attract & Close High Ticket Offers By Offering To Help People For Free, and..... 3: How To Build A Dynamic Marketing & Sales Funnel That Converts High Ticket Clients Consistently While Building Goodwill in your marketplace And it seems that the juju priest from Africa, is a vague and distant memory, and things are only going to get better. So did he ever think of stopping working on his business, and go back and get a job behind a desk somewhere? And if he could go back in time, would he create the same business, or do something different now he knows what he knows? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots. with the one and only Johnson Emmanuel
