Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a man who seems to have cracked it big-time, and knows exactly what he was put on this planet to do.
And his mission is to make us the healthiest version of what we can be and live an amazing life everyday
But unlike so many of our guests who have a childhood that was less than perfect, his life started in a very different way.
As he says in his own words “I spent the first half of my childhood in a quiet suburban neighbourhood with all of the love and attention that a child could ask for.
I spent the second half of my childhood growing up in some of the most dangerous parts of the inner city, surrounded by gangs, drugs, alcohol, and violence on a daily basis.
I was able to gain so much from both environments, and I’m truly grateful for the life I’ve been given. The situations I was in helped me cultivate perspective, resourcefulness, and (most importantly) the power of choice.
However, it was in college that my entire world really changed. Not because of the education I was receiving, but because of the devastating illness that I was diagnosed with at the age of 20. Seemingly overnight I was in excruciating pain, I lost a great deal of function in my leg, and I could barely get from room to room in my house, let alone get around on campus anymore.
Essentially, my spine was deteriorating far faster than it was supposed to. And according to my doctor at the time, I had the spine of an 80-year old person, even though I was just a young college kid.”
And that was just the start of what would become life mission. Starting with getting himself healthy, he learnt so much that he could then share with the world.
And now being the founder of Advanced Integrative Health Alliance, a successful company that provides Wellness Services for both individuals and organizations worldwide, podcast host, and a dynamic keynote speaker life seems good…in fact very good.
So does he see people struggle in life as they haven’t had the good and the bad, so aren’t aware of what they can deal with?
And would he like to go back in time and change anything that has occurred whilst on this earth?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Shawn Stevenson

Todays guest entrepreneur joining us on the Join Up Dots is someone who I'll be honest I didn't realise his backstory when I first knew that he was going to be a guest on the show.
I had seen his name as someone who believes that he can instil the motivation into any of us to radically change all of our lives, so I had an impression of him simply being another life coach.
But how about when I tell you that although he is rocking and rolling and doing great work in the world of changing mind-set, and increasing positivity in his client lives, he is also an American screenwriter, screenplay consultant, script doctor, author and amazingly, at least it was to me, as stuntman too.
And it seems that the last role was one of his "Big Dots" that truly was the starting point to him becoming who he is today, as after a life-changing "brush with death" while making a movie, he left the stunt business and considered becoming a monk, then a minister, until instead he hid himself away in his apartment without TV or news and meditated for several years.
He emerged to become a licensed integrative therapist, best-selling author, and he actually adopted a monk, no not a monkey but an actual monk which is of course another story.
So what was his passion when he was a small child, and was it ore closely linked to who he is now, or that of who he was?
And where does he see this movement of people looking for self-belief going, as it seems bigger than it has ever been?
Well Lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only motivation expert Mr Derek Rydall.

Todays guest has kindly given up their time to come on and inspire the world with their story and passions for tackling the big things in life.
And his life has seemed a constant state of having the best and worst that life can throw at you, but wanting to have even more come his way on top of that too.
He grew up in Queens New York, which had been made famous in so many Hollywood’s films that focus in on the criminal activities of the infamous Mafia Don, John Gotti.
His life was surrounded by scenes from the movie Goodfellas, and so it wasn’t a surprise that his mother felt that it would be a good time to move him and his sister upstate, away from such influences.
Which was not the best of time as our young budding entrepreneur was just starting to earn some money by selling fireworks.
Even as a young lad it was clear he was always going to be someone that would get out and flex the hustle muscle, as he was so inspired by his father entrepreneurial ventures, that he quickly grew his money making mind-set to go out and get his own cash.
However on the other side he was also being influenced heavily by mothers drive for a world of healthily living, healthy eating and building up the muscles and fitness to undertake extreme endurance and create the ultimate healthy lifestyle.
And those two parental influences really seemed to set the foundation to what our guest has since gone onto achieve.
Now he has founded the incredible movement known as the Spartan Race, where across the world over a million people have signed up and tackled the hardest of activities such as an eight mile sprint and the hardest of obstacle races.
So as with all guests on Join Up Dots does he look back and think that the path was always going to get him here, even when undertaking detours onto Wall Street and the Bed and Breakfast business?
And can he understand the appeal that make so many people want to test themselves to such extreme levels, whilst the rest of the world are happy giving the excuses of why they haven’t got the time for anything?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Joe De Sena.

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a man with a fascinating and somewhat intriguing branding of "The Suited Monk"
Now if you are thinking "I can't remember the last time I saw a monk in a suit?" then let me explain more.
How many times have you realised that you are living a life that is expected of you.
The kind of life that was always on the cards due to your surroundings, parents, friends and a myriad of other outside influences.
Well our guest today was considered to be successful in the corporate world at a young age by colleagues, friends and family.
However, his personal life was anything but successful.
He was deeply unhappy in his job, he was struggling to find a sense of purpose and meaning, and wanted more than anything to find happiness in his work and life environment.
Modern society exerts a constant, subtle pressure to conform to the expectations of others, and to seek a version of success that is acceptable to the people around us but that does not necessarily meet our own most heartfelt needs and desires.
Even if we manage to reach certain goals, the happiness they bring us rarely lasts long.
Because they aren't truly what we want.
How depressing is that...but so real to all of us too.
So he did something about getting rid of this feeling, and got off the path that he was on and now spends most of his time speaking and teaching on the subject of authenticity in life.
Finding the suited monk in all of us, where we can join our intuition, happiness, love, purpose, and life force (which is your inner Monk) with the external world of success and achievement (represented by the Suit you wear).
Once you do that he believes that you will be able to close the gap and tap into the vast abundance that exists within you, both in your professional life and personal relationships.
Wow, that sounds good doesn't it.
So, how did he come up with the Monk aspect of this concept?
And what did his family say when she said "Guys, I need to go out and do my own thing!"
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Raf Adams.

Todays guest quite simply needs no introduction, but hey what kind of host would I be if I didn’t build him up for the big entrance?
So its Jack Canfield.
Well lets start with saying its rare that you will see a bookshelf or a library that doesn’t have one of his publications sitting amongst their ranks.
He is the author of the astonishingly successful series of books, that are the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series, that has been sold the world over, and counts sales as somewhere beyond 123 million copies worldwide.
And the fact that Oprah can hardly state three words without speaking about her love for this book, then you know he has created something special.
But his life hasn’t always been one of success, and with three marriages under his belt and a less than spectacular start to his professional life, he knows both sides of what makes a fully realised life.
He has worked for a living as a psychotherapist, an educational consultant, and a trainer to name a few, but it was when he met Mr Mark Victor Hansen co-author of the Chicken Soup Series that things started to move in the direction that he visualised for himself.
And through those life experiences, or up and downs, successes and failures, he learnt the Success Principles, that he found were the key to create the life that you want.
And now ten years later from it first being released, he is re-publishing it, with greater insights as to what can make an amazing life, he is a man on a vision.
So does he see the up and downs are actually the key points to what gives a life success, are they the foundations to maintain the momentum gained?
And does he get told by every waiter in the world “Ah Mr Canfield, I expect you want to have the Chicken Soup tonight, ho ho ho!”
Well let’s find out as its with delight, that we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Jack Canfield.

Todays guest'solopreneur joining us on the join up dots top rated podcast, is a lady who like many of us had a path to where she is today, which was full of the kind of dots that you can't see at the time, but become crystal clear much later on in life.
She is the Creative designer at the design company Milanistudios in Houston Texas, where she spends her days helping small business with the kind of creative ventures that we all struggle with Video Services, Website Development and Multimedia Design.
But this isn't a story about an entrepreneurial leap of faith, but a story of waking up one day to take on a normal day, that would turn out to be extraordinary.
Back in 2010 her life was literally thrown into the air, when a freak accident happened to her, which of course happens to thousands of people everyday, but we never really feel that it will happen to us.
One day she was crossing the street, and a car came from nowhere and hit her, and that one incident changed her life and helped her re-discover her lifes purpose after losing track of it in her early 20's.
And now as sha says " I have picked up 100% and full steam ahead for the rest of my life. I created an initiative called Vivadivine. It’s geared toward conscious living, defining a purpose driven life and much more. I am also pursuing my goal to become a life coach."
But this goes much deeper than this, as the phrase VivaDivine had been one that she had been living with for over 26 years, and started in the most opposite of directions that you can imagine.
Yes, a close friend Granger Sanders coined the words, and now not a day will go by when she doesn't think "Man, those dots in my life so joined up"
So how did it come about that this alter ego was born, and stayed with her for so many years?
And would she look back on that dreadful day when her body took a pounding from the car and think "Thank god for that" or "God, I wish that had never happened?

Todays guest in an expert on branding a business to reflect personally your own identity.
She is of total belief that the personality of a business should be linked intrinsically with that of the owner.
If you are a serious and professional type then your branding you should emphasise that.
If you are a crazy, fun loving person, then hey throw caution to the wind.
As she says ” It’s time to Step in to YOUR power. I stood in your shoes. Anxious, afraid, paralyzed and unable to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I just knew the things I was doing weren’t it. After a life-altering experience with the birth of our daughter, when I stopped breathing on the operating table of a routine c-section, I knew it was time to make a change. It had awakened in me a feeling like nothing I had experienced before and with my daughter’s birth, I was reborn. I was ready.”
It’s a common theme, that so many times in peoples lives its those earth shattering, scary moments that really wake you up and helps you look for a new future.
And that was the case with todays guest and as she says again “We only get one shot in this go-round. So I took the leap, I left my 10-year career and the safe nest of my alma mater and decided to launch my own business. Looking back, it was the greatest decision I could have ever made for my family and for my LIFE.”
So how did she know what direction she should be going in when she decided to take the leap of faith and go it alone?
And does she find the subject of branding to be something that is almost universally made more complicated than it actually should be?
Well lets find out, as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Amber Lilyestrom.

It's with great delight that I welcome on todays show a lady who is the a author of a very cool book called, What Would a Wise Woman Do: Questions to Ask Along the Way.
But don't think for a moment that this is a show that will only apply to the ladies of the world, as this is all about living an amazing life, and working out the right questions to make this happen.
You see that is the subtle difference.
Most people go looking for the answers, but skip the most important part....the questions.
From the wisdom she learned at her mother’s side to the insight she gained baking pies with her Grandmother, our guest has developed an innate ability to ask the questions that propel business leaders and entrepreneurs to incredible achievements.
And this is where it gets really good.
It's not about working from a higher level of consciousness.
Or having the inside track that has cost thousands of dollars to get.
Instead our guest works from a simple philosophy – “Treat people better than they expect to be treated”, and it is from this belief that she was able to carve her niche and stand out in the highly competitive IT field, building Guardian Angel Computer Services from a sole employee business into a leading provider of Managed Technical Services.
And we can all do that can't we?
Teat people well, help people get everything they want in life, enjoy ourselves doing it and see the amazing life start forming around us!
But of course the million dollars question is why do people have a hard time buying into such a simple premise that leads towards success?
And of course having a wise woman on the show, what are the key questions that we should be asking ourselves on a daily basis to help us along the way?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Laura Steward.

Todays guest started his first business when he was 15, and found himself like so many people broke, stressed and discouraged by the age of 22.
He had tried to be successful and he it didn't work, so he gave up and decided that a life of success wasn't for him.
Well, let me tell you that the truth was far from that statement.
In fact by the age of 23, just one year later he had turned that feeling of failure into the first shoots of success as he made his first 6 figure income.
3 1/2 years later his earnings were over 1 million, he had found the formula that worked for him, and so took the same formula and applied it in another industry.
Despite the challenge of lacking training or experience, he became the fastest manager to reach $1 million in annual sales in his company's 60 + year history, but left his
6 figure income because he felt his magnitude of mission growing.
He has since trained close to 5,000 entrepreneurs and sales professionals and is now labelled the leading authority for Entrepreneurs, and stars in his own tv show called "The Entrepreneur Grind" on the Whatever it takes network.
He has founded The Game Changers Academy, runs one of the top podcast on iTunes titled, "The Young Entrepreneur Lifestyle,” and is the author of the 27-Time International Best Seller “6 Months to 6 Figures.”
He strongly believes the more people you help to succeed, the more successful you become.
So what was it about the entrepreneurial lifestyle that so appealed to him at such an early age?
And does he see those first seven years as the catalyst to his future success or just a series of mistakes not to repeat?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show and start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Peter Voogd.

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a lovely lady, who was introduced to me by another lovely lady Joan Sotkin who appeared on episode 242.
She said to me "David you have to get my friend on the show, she has hustle, passion, and enthusiasm coming out of every pore"
And so that is what I have done, and she has a brilliant backstory that makes her perfect for a show like this, as in her own words she starts with
"Guess I’d say that I am the quintessential “Accidental Entrepreneur.”
I didn’t come to the party via business school or any well-crafted plan. Nope. I listened to Guidance and jumped in the middle of the deep end!
My first career came about with a Master’s Degree and 25 years of counseling experience. That actually gave me a fabulous foundation to understand the inner working of the mind, motivation, behavior, and those crazy unconscious parts that hold us back.
But it did NOTHING to prepare me to run a business or make a bunch of money! Not at all.
That has come through grit and grace! Being committed to do whatever it takes to learn and grow. Finding mentors who will shine lights on the places I can’t see. Being in focused action, and a fierce and firm decision to follow this path and never, ever give up on my dream."
And that my faithful listeners is a blueprint to success, and one that will be worth you grabbing a pen and paper and jotting down the nuggets of gold I just know we will deliver on this show.
So how did she find the courage to jump in at the deep end, when so many people are scared of even dipping the toes into the water?
And looking back on it, are there things that she would have differently that can make our transition from unhappy employees to life loving folk?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Therese Skelly.

Todays guest on Join Up Dots could have been taken straight from that classic movie "Dead Poets Society" as her mantra in life and her company name is "Seize This Day"
"Carpe Diem" is the way forward if you want to have a kick ass life, both personally and professionally.
And our guest has demonstrated that everyday as after a successful 20 years in sales and business development she took the experience that she has gained and took the leap of faith.
In early 2006, she launched her coaching practice where she helps individuals and small business to see the opportunities all around them, and bound over the obstacles that they may see as game stoppers.
She provides common sense approach to the sales process, and ultimately builds confidence into everyone that she meets
She is a public speaker, coach, radio host, author and go getter, and seems to me loves her life, and the value she is providing to the world.
So what was the point in her life when she knew that she had enough experience to leave the comfort of a steady salary, and go it alone.
And does she see more and more of the employees of the world getting itchy feet to go out and do there own thing, or is it still a case that people will cling to employment no matter how unhappy it is making them.
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only, Diane Helbig.

Todays guest is a man who I knew that I had to have him on Join Up Dots, when I see the quote "Life isn't searching for perfection — Life IS perfection in itself!" attributed to himself.
Its a really interesting point to make.
Is it about making life as a good as it can be, or is the action taking, faith, belief, whatever you call it that you use to get to that point, that is the real gift that we should savour?
Starting his working career in corporate land, he carved out a successful path for himself in Sales and Marketing and IT co-founding several companies that went onto be worth millions.
Life was good.
He was at the top of his game and literally had everything he could want.
But what happens when that success loses itse shine?
What happens when the life that you have worked so hard to create starts to look like you have created the wrong one?
Well our guest discovered that in order to live a fulfilled life he needed to pursue his soul’s purpose.
By taking charge of his destiny and following his dreams he finally found peace and felt complete.
And today he inspires individuals to live their essence and assists them in re-calibrating their lives, which he does though many different mediums.
So what was the moment when he knew that it was time to change direction, and how did he go about it?
And was he surrounded by people saying "Man, what are you doing?
You already have it all?"
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mr Allen Vaysberg

Todays guest is one of the people that has set his stall out to look good feel good and help the world look good too.
I hope he doesn't mind me saying this but he is around seventy years old and has the most amazing body I have seen a man of his age having.
He knows what works for him to keep him at peak performance, and most importantly he knows what is the perfect fuel to put in himself to fire on all cylinders.
His purpose is to teach people how to be the healthiest person ON the planet and not the wealthiest person IN the grave, and does this by using nine easy steps that focus on nutrition, which are centered around his basic philosophy: “If you want to be tough, you’ve got to eat good stuff!”
He’s the founder of the Center for Nutrition & Life Management, Inc., based in Daytona Beach Florida, and is dubbed ‘The Mango Man’ because of his passion for eating fresh vegetables and seasonal fruits, like mangoes.
As he says, “We can learn to choose foods wisely so that nutrition can help the body build and repair itself more effectively.”
He’s convinced that we are all healthy automatically by design and sick only by default.
So living in the worlds centre of fast food, and processed sustenance, how does he manage to dodge the Burger Kings, and KFC's when they are all around him and live a life true to himself?
And are there quick ways that we can get to the core of what we should be eating, without going through a series of trials and errors?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Dr Wayne "The Mango Man" Pickering.

Not too many people can say life was nice and easy for them growing up.
But our guest on Join Up Dots will tell you his life wasn't extremely hard as a young adult, but it definitely wasn't easy either.
Surrounding himself with groups of friends that showed him that life was what you made it, he got involved with quick and easy money and a life of crime at a young age.
His desire to wear brand clothing sparked petty thievery such as popping lockers to steal valuables of fellow classmates to begin with, which gradually evolved to armed robberies.
It was when he ordered his affiliates to intrude a store for the second time that was under police surveillance that things came to a head and he was sentenced to serve 10 Years in Lee Arrendale State Prison for armed robbery.
Now the interesting thing about this tale was our guest wasn't a child who was uninterested, bored and didn't have an interest for schooling.
He loved being on the debate team, and like many children had a huge passion for playing basketball and shooting the hoops.
This is a tale of a young adult surrounding himself with the wrong people and making the wrong choices in life
Now he has risen from the ashes of his past mistakes and run's several businesses in the local Georgia community: FunTime Moonwalk Rentals, A&B Ice Cream Trucks, and Tender Care Home Healthcare Service.
He also published a book on his testimony- Shawty: Dainhen Butler and appeared on the well received documentary The Alto Adjustment", which is the harrowing but inspirational documentary of his life.
So what was life like in prison, and is it likely to inspire the prisoners to change direction, or harden them for a life of more crime?
And does he feel that he is a stronger person because of his history or just a different person because of it?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Dainhen Butler.

Todays guest joining us on the top rated Join Up Dots podcast, is a man who not only has an amazing demonstration of facial hair, but also has an amazing passion for life, adventure, grabbing success and enjoying himself.
He calls himself an adventurer, entrepreneur, solopreneur and a storyteller and is being truly authentic to what he was put on this earth to be.
But his life hasn't always been one that sounds like every boys dream.
Traveling through foreign lands.
Chatting with unusual strangers.
And living a life on his own terms.
In his own words he says "As a small child I wanted to be an explorer – to discover new, far away lands. But as I grew up, these dreams began to fade and were replaced with bank accounts, mortgages and dull conversations. Then a series of tragic events changed the course of my life. A few months later, I was riding across Mongolia in an ambulance. I had, in a small way, attained my childhood dream. From that inflection point, my life has been on a different path."
He poses the question that is perfect for a show like this that has a tagline like "Connecting our pasts to build our futures"
"What would it be like if, even for an instant, you could step into the shoes of your childhood dream? What if it is possible – and we’ve just convinced ourselves that it isn’t “feasible” as we’ve grown older?"
What would it be like indeed?
So what is it about humans that seem to need a series of tragic events to start looking closely for the true course of their lives?
And does he see the first part of his life as one of wasted opportunity, or just an apprenticeship for where he is now?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mr Chris Plough.

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a lovely lady who has a wonderful mission in her life.
She wants to bring hope, passion and enthusuisam to those kids who feel that life is a place of darkness and where they have nothing in front of them but a certain and bleak future.
Through her first book Letters to God: Diary of an Unsilenced Generation, she raises awareness of the plight of hurting teens, the struggles they face, and how to promote hope in their young, often broken, lives.
And what makes this publication more powerful is that these are not all words that she has written herself, but Letters to God is a compilation of handwritten notes gathered at youth events around the nation.
These are true life tales of hurt and despair, which highlight the honest real life struggles that the youth of the world face.
But its not just the darkness that these book has brought to the world, as within every chapter our guest brings her experience of tackling these issues head on, with great insight which has been widely praised across America.
A resource for friends, parents, family and the sufferers themselves.
So what was it that made our guest focus her attention and passions on a problem which is so wide spread and difficult to tackle?
And does she feel that her movement is just the start of something that ultimately will be bigger than herself and the others that follow her.

When I started the show, I never considered that I would be having conversations on certain subjects, but todays episode is one of those that has arisen a few times.
It is something that most of us have spent time doing when we were young, but stop doing, because it seems uncool to do it as adults.
But todays guest has taken that logic and turned it on its head, as she is bringing skipping back into the adult world.
Yep, that type of skipping that you might have done as a kid.
Our guest created iSkip in the spring of 1999 when she became so inspired after skipping for the first time as an adult that she decided to invite the rest of the world to join her.
She began organizing regular group skipping events in San Francisco, and in January 2000 quit her corporate job to pursue her dream full time.
She poured her heart and soul into her vision, recruited head skippers in as many as 60 cities, and attempted to start a writing and speaking career.
Unfortunately, that didn’t go so well.
She ultimately skipped herself into financial ruin, and would spend the next several years going through what she calls the “post acute skipping hangover” phase of her journey. But as soon as she’d think her skipping path had come to an end, a newly inspired Skipper offering a unique contribution to the skipping world would skip onto the scene.
So what was it about skipping that wouldn’t let her go, even when she hit the dark point of perceived failure?
And does she see it more a boost for your mental happiness, or for your physical health.
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Kim Corbin.

Todays guest is Jo Na Williams, a lady who has been involved in the music industry since the age of five when she started belting out the tunes in musical ensembles around where she lived, and I guess grabbing hold of that hair brush in her bedroom like all small girls do.
And music seems to have always been the thing that lights her up inside, and was always going to be a key thing to her career.
And why not when her Mother was in the music industry, and worked in Detroit during the halcion days of Motown.
So being surrounded by such creative folk showing their passions and talent everyday was likely to start her vision for joining them and becoming a star too.
So she started pursuing a career as a vocalist professionally, and at the age of 17 began singing backing vocals in studios, and supporting local bands and life looked like it was only going to be heading one way.
She felt like she was on her way to being a star.
As she says “I happily stayed late nights in the studio, wrote lyrics and recorded vocals waiting for my moment to be discovered. It never happened. I was never credited or compensated and that was when I realized, I’d been exploited.”
And its moments like that when you feel that the world is against you, that really shows you the way that your future will be and should be.
It’s the dark dots on the Join Up Dots timeline that become the stepping stones to where you need to be.
This is where the greatest startup stories begin, when you have no other choice than to move forward with conviction.
She is now an attorney/brand and business development expert for musicians and artists.
Through her company, Artist Empowerment Group, she will do everything she can to empower you to build an authentic, unstoppable brand, a movement of raving fans and the components of being a successful entrepreneur so you can finally live your dream on YOUR terms.
She cares about musicians and artists deeply as hey, shes been there and done it and experience combined with heart makes one powerful proposition.
So what was it about the music industry that was so intoxicating for her as a young lady?
And does she see it now as the best form of apprenticeship to where she is today?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining upd ots with the one and only Jo-Na Williams

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a lovely lady who from her core, believes that we can all have a lovely life.
She loves nothing more than teaching the world the tools to find our life bliss.
Yes, come on listeners if you have only got one thing from listening to Join Up Dots everyday then it should be this.
If you are slogging your way through life, feeling exhausted, and wondering why life is so hard, then you are travelling along the wrong path.
You need to work out why you can't get out of bed each day, with a "Yay, its a new day" shout.
She is just about to bring to the world a new project called "14 Day Radical Self Love Challenge" and has also just launched her Uplift Membership Group.
But this isn't a story of someone who is a naturally bouncy person, and was always on an inspirational helping others kind of gig.
As she has gone from a severely anxious and depressed woman for most of her 35 years to an empowered, inspiring woman doing amazing things, conquering her fears and teaching others how to do the same!
So what was it in her past that led to her feeling so anxious about the future, and what she was doing in her life?
And are there simple steps that the listeners can take forward
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Jamie Pfeffer

Todays guest has an amazing story of a life living on his terms.
Making decisions that for many will have seemed huge and almost undoable.
Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio where his father played professional football with the Browns, he graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Journalism.
But our guest did things differently, and instead of following a career that was expected he did things that were 100% him.
He’s the author of Angeles Crest: A Memoir about world travels, ultramarathon running, and metaphysics; Inside Passage: Living with Killer Whales, Bald Eagles, and Indians, based on a two year stay on a northern wilderness island along the rugged coastline between Seattle and Alaska; and North Through Paradise, about varied adventures in Alaska.
And now with so many inspiring adventures and tales in his locker, its not surprising that he is asked to speak on TV, Radio and deliver key note presentations across the world.
His speech: “Triumph of The Spirit” is an inspiring, motivational account of what it takes to survive; then thrive in the wilderness — or any challenging situation.
And that last bit says the most about him it seems to me.
It’s not about running away and living in the mountains that makes dreams happen, but it’s accepting every challenging situation that life thows at us no matter how humdrum they may seem.
And trying our best to work away around them.
And that is exactly what our guest has done.
So what did he learn living on the Island in Alaska which was life changing, or did the experiences just cement what he already knew and felt in life?
And why does he feel that the majority of the world would say “No, I cant do this…I have XYZ to deal with first!”?
Well lets find out as its with delight that I bring onto the show the man, with so many stories, and the best moustache I have seen since Tom Selleck, the one and only Mr Michael Modzelewski

Todays guest is one of those guests that might seem easy to pigeonhole when you first look at him.
But once you start digging down, you realise that there is so much more to him than most other artists operating within his creative area.
A native of Virginia and a devoted family man, he first started making the world sit up and take notice of him when he jumped into the music world in 1996, and made his professional debut to rave reviews with the New York City Opera as Ralph Rackstraw in H.M.S. Pinafore.
And although he certainly has got a set of pipes on him, that can belt out the huge opera numbers that you might be aware of, he unsually allows his voice to demonstrate many other types of music from pop, to Buble, stage musicals, to the Rat Pack.
He believes that the music is only half of what he brings to the audience.
Its the whole show that sets him apart from the stand in one spot and belt out the song type of performers.
And now alongside his family, who are also amazing singers, he is taking his talent to the world.
He was named "Best Male Recording Artist" of the year in 2001, 2004, and 2006 by the FCMA and has been released three solo recordings on the Shadow Mountain Label "Wondrous Love", "Then Sings My Soul" and "A New Song" all of which have received numerous accolades and awards, including several Pearl awards
So what is it about himself, that unlike so many people who would class family as the thing that stops their dreams, made him willing to give it ago?
And has been surprised at how brutal the music industry is, now he is fully established in its world?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only George Dyer.

Todays guest joining us on the Join Up Dots free podcast interview is the co-founder of OpenWorld, the world's #1 resource for active lifestyle creators.
What that means is instead of finding a job to fund your lifestyle, you create your lifestyle and then find ways to fund it.
You can honestly have the freedom to have the kind of amazing career and astonishing success that you want, for example if you want to be an underwater basket weaver then work out how much you need to earn to do this, and then go out and find different ways of funding this freedom.
Be creative with the choices that you make to achieve your dreams.
Don't be pigeon holed by what people tell you is the normal route to success.
Do things your way, and love every second of your life.
Well todays guest has always had that entrepreneurial spirit and since the age of 9 has loved to flex his hustle muscle.
And with a history entailing going from broke ramen-eating college graduate to growing a profitable online business and pursuing lifestyle design with reckless abandon.
And through his many adventures around the world has been robbed, fallen from bridges and motorbikes, hugged exotic animals, and nearly died several times in pursuit of his dreams.
He is now a man who literally can call the world his home, and the planet his playground.
So what was about him that made him up for the challenge to brush himself down and go again when things got tough?
And why would he say that the world hasn't quite bought into the belief that they can literally create the life of their dreams?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only location free entrepreneur Mr Danny Flood

Todays guest is the kind of person that I haven’t had on the show since way back on episode 18, a teacher.
And not an entrepreneural ex-teacher, but one that is still on a daily basis going to school and teaching his pupils history.
Seems like a normal teacher?
Well consider how many teachers you have had in your life that also focused on happiness?
Yeah, I can’t think of more than….well none to be honest.
He believes that discussing happiness with sixth graders will help them understand the path to well-being and how to create habits that nurture it.
They will be laying a foundation for lifelong resilience, contentment and, ultimately, success in whatever endeavors they pursue.
So with that in mind, he takes a few minutes each morning to ask his students to consider something they’re grateful for, happy about or that makes them feel good.
And now with his new book “Teaching Happiness and Innovation” he goes even deeper into the world happiness, with practical exercises that we can all do to increase our well being and….well be happy.
So was this a focus that he has always had in his life, or did he suddenly realise one day that there was a different way of teaching?
And what has he found to be the biggest obstacle with kids to achieving this state of mind?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mr Mike Ferry

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is one of those people that when you start reading his about page you think..."Is this real or has he made it up?"
When it starts with, "he spent 10 years in the former Soviet Union investigating the Russian mafia and working with the KGB", you start to think this is one that will be fascinating to see where his dots have lined up.
But the surprising things about him keep coming, he grew up in a family of 14, lived in China, loves using musical instruments to demonstate his opinions and views, and well......I guess we will find more and more as we go on.
Nowadays he is an international speaker and author with a specialization in Leadership and Organizational Behaviour, but the underlining theme of much of his work is to help people overcome the fears that hold them back.
As he says its all about getting the nerve to succeed.
Learning the skills to overcome those self limiting thoughts that not only hold us back as individuals but have the same effect on organisations too.
If we were to become more ballsy, and have a plan to help us overcome our fears then we can do amazing things.
So what did he learn growing up in such a big household that he has taken into his adult life...not least how to get in the bathroom before anyone else?
And does he see more and people wanting to change direction but unwilling to risk what they already have in their lives?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Joe Serio.

Todays guest is a lady who has one of the most harrowing histories that I have read about for a guest on Join Up Dots.
If you think of something bad that could happen to someone then she will have ticked it off her list.
Being the youngest of five children she grew up in a dysfunctional house, whereby a loving and supportive Mother struggled to provide the upbringing she wanted for her children due to an abusive husband.
Her Father was an alcoholic, and was abusive to her Mother, so at the age of eleven she grabbed all her children and moved out of the family home.
And as our guest says in her own words "My life was simple but good, at least we never had to worry again about my father drinking and abuse. But within a few years my life would change, as I was brutally raped at the age of 14."
And from that point onwards her life became one intertwined with crime, prison, and a myriad of activities that was sought to numb the pain of her earlier life.
She had lost herself and couldn't see the path that she was put on this planet to walk.
But as we see time and time again, that path can become visible at the most unexpected times, which certainly occurred to our guest.
And now she is working hard to inspire us all to take control of our own lives with her well received book "From Insanity to Sane" sharing the lessons that she has learned in her life.
So let's find out how that moment occurred, that shone the light on the way forward?
And does she feel that a life of meaning, has to have the dark moments to fully appreciate the good that comes to us?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Barbara Archer.

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a man who asked himself a brilliant question, and now helps others across the world to answer the very same question.
"What do I want to be when I grow up?"
Which is one of those things that we consider a lot when we are very young, and will answer with a spaceman, a princess, and professional footballer.
Big answers, that just roll off our tongues easily, but are so hard to answer when we actually grow up.
Well our guest today quit his business programme in college, and ended up in Tokyo, where he worked as an English teacher, and realised that there was no answer for the question that started his quest and that in fact, that very question is the wrong question to be asking.
Which is where you lean forward to the speaker, and say "But what is that question then David.....what is the right answer to ask?"
And i'll be honest I haven't a clue, but our guy knows, and has now travelled across North America speaking to teens about his findings, the importance of decision-making and the importance of having experiences.
He is the author of the book Make Your Own Lunch - How to Live an Epically Epic Life through Work, Travel, Wonder, and (maybe) College and is the co-founder and CEO of RaiseYourFlag, a web platform developed to help the 45% of high school students in North America who do not attend college immediately after leaving school connect to careers that are available to them and the companies that can help.
He is a man with a lot on his plate, not least a load of dodgy food in Japan.
So why did he feel unlike millions of others to ask such a big question that we hear time and time again, but really dig down looking for answers?
And does he see that this problem is an American one, or is it prevalent across the world.
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Ryan Porter.

Todays guest is an author who has a story that really resonated with me when I read his backstory.
In fact so many of us will resonate with his tale, as it is one about unfulfilled dreams, held back, not by lack of talent, but lack of belief.
As he says "There was a time in my life where I didn’t see myself as an author, perhaps just like you. I knew I had stories to tell, but I was afraid that they wouldn’t be good enough…that I would be a laughing stock among my friends if I tried to publish them. It was a couple of years ago, right after I had been unemployed for almost a year. We had wiped out our savings and were very close to going under. My son wanted to go to college and I couldn’t afford it. I felt like a failure.
Then, a story came to me. I liked it, and when I started writing, it just naturally flowed. Pretty soon, I had a whole book written. There was only one problem—no agent would take it. I shopped it to agents month after month, and none of them were the least bit interested. Then I heard about self-publishing, but I didn’t know anything about it. I spent a lot of time researching it before finally deciding, “I can do this; I just need a plan.”
Eventually, my book was ready. I loaded it into Amazon, but then I panicked. No one was home, and I sat at the kitchen table, staring at the computer screen. Sweat glistened on my brow as I looked at the cursor, hovering over the little button that said “Save and Publish.” I wanted to push the button more than anything else in the world, and yet I couldn’t."
Isn't that a fascinating point that anyone who has created momentum and success will understand.
You have done the work, you are proud of it, but scared stiff to show it to the world.
Your dreams are there in front of you, but you don't want to take that final step that will slide the work over the top of the hill, where it runs away from you.
Well now with a series of books flying off the shelves, he loves nothing more than helping other authors do the same, and create words that they will love and the world will want more and more off.
So what was it about the written word that had such a pull on him throughout his working life?
And would he look back at himself now and like many others shout "Just start....get it out there!"?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mr Chris Kennedy.

Todays guest is a lady who has had many careers in her life, so it will be of great interest to discover if she feels what she is doing now is THE thing.
The thing that she was always meant to do.
Born in East Chicago Heights, Illinois she was reared in rural Hart Michigan.
After beginning college at Eastern Michigan University, she returned to her roots in Chicago where she began a federal career with the department of Housing and Urban Development.
And then it seems strange to see it from an outsiders point of view, but it was during this time that she became a protégé of Grammy Winning Songwriter and Arranger, Eugen Record and had three releases under the name the Chilites.
But her life has been one of contrast as away from the glamour of musical output, she has for 35 years worked in civilian government service, seven years as a labor leader, and as a national negotiator.
She is a lady that knows how to get her point across and can make a difference for so many.
And now with her best selling book "Whose Apple Is It Anyway" and her Empowerment Center, she is helping the world to find their the purpose in life.
In the book she tells in her own unique voice, a story of emotional and physical abuse, rape, divorce and a 17-year marriage to a man who was later convicted as a sexual predator.
So she certainly has a history that will resonate with so many people who have endured similar tales of distress and woe.
But its with a force of character that ties it all together and gives the whole platform a central focus, that our guest has got to show her true strength.
The programme is stronger because of who she is and now what she is.
So why did she for so many years appear to be driven and in control of her business life, but pushed around in her personal life?
And would she go back and change anything, or is this just a part of what has made her who she is today?

How many times have you thought...."I've left it too late", "I am where I am"....or the worse "Getting the dreamlife is for others"?
Well todays episode of Join Up Dots should make you think again and realise it's never too late.
The question is how much do you want it?
And what will you do to ensure that you get yourself to a point where you love greeting every day, as its an exciting 24 hours of possibilities.
Well our guest started finding his true path in life in his mid fifties.
And also it seems started enjoying himself more and more than he had ever done before too.
At the age of 56 he hit a run of bad luck.
Losing his mortgage business, being evicted from his apartment, having his car repossessed and shock of horrors, having to move in with his x-wife for a place to live, he thought he was done.
He thought that this was where he was, one of life's victims, consigned to share the misery of his lot with whoever would listen for the rest of his life.
But this wasn't the case, as he found the courage to reinvent himself.
He shook off the dark faults of failure, brushed himself down and fought back.
And now at age 60, enjoys being An Entrepreneur, Public Speaker, Trainer and Author, as well as having a series of videos on YouTube called Over 50 And Broke and a web-site with the same name.
As he says "I managed to come through it and create a new me. Can anyone do it? If you really want it bad enough. Remember "Age Should Never Be An Excuse For Not Succeeding."
So where did it all go wrong for him in the past?
And like so many of our guests, does he look back and see the dark times as now the best thing that has happened to him?

Todays guest entrepreneur is an amazingly positive lady, who found her life turned around at the age of 50 when many are looking forward to a life of good health into their later years.
She received the diagnosis that she was a victim of Parkinsons disease, which was not the kind of words that anyone hopes to hear.
Athough in truth she didn't stay in the victim mode for long.
As after many dark days spent coming to terms with her diagnosis, her natural comic optimism and irreverence began to resurface and she started writing on her blog about the funny side of living with Parkinsons.
She shared the good the bad, the up and downs, the funny and the downright hilarious.
And alongside her loving family, set off to ensure the world knows that there is a brightside to living with this chronic illness.
Delivering her story in the form of the the best selling book Shake, Rattle & Roll With It: Living and Laughing with Parkinson's she has seen her life become a whirl of public speaking and media interviews, as the world looks to be informed about something that can happen to all of us.
She is a humor writer, author, public speaker and former newspaper columnist and regular contributor to the Huffington Post and now a guest on Join Up Dots too.
So what was it that she found in herself, that pulled herself out of the dark and despair?
And what advice would she give to the listeners who have family members dealing with this on a daily basis?

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is Josey Milner, a lady that has been delivering musical performances to the world since the age of seven, and I can imagine was belting them out in her bedroom even earlier than that too.
She grew up on a farm in Missouri, and could often be found hanging around the local rodeo stadiums, where she would delight in such activities as Barrel racing, and getting up on stage and singing the National Anthem to the cowboys, cowgirls and of course the audience.
There was certainly a ballsy approach to her upbringing as a small child, that has led her to take on bigger and bigger challenges as she has grown.
And those challenges have come often as she has stepped into the country music world with her well received singles “Not Pretty Enough” and the foot stomping back to rodeo roots “Cowgirls”, whilst also forming a band and playing everywhere she can.
Its the live work, that really sharpens your tools, and turns your talent into something that the world ultimately takes notice off.
But don’t just think that this is a story that is about a hugely ambitious country starlet racing her way to the top, as she is also trying her hardest to give back to the world with a cause she is hugely passionate with, stopping bulling in childhood.
As she says “When I started doing rodeo pageants, I received a lot of criticism and backlash from other kids. It was a difficult time, but thanks to the support I had with friends and family, I was able to overcome that time period. If I can help just one person feel like they are not alone, and that things will get better, then I will have accomplished what I set out to do.”
And with a tour of schools undertaken, to speak about bullying she is taking action and inspiring youngsters throughout America to do things a different way.
So what was it about growing up in such a rough and tumble environment that has helped her on her way to Country stardom?
And can she remember how she felt on those early occasions standing on the rodeo stages and the spotlight turning in her direction?
Well let’s find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots, with the one and only Josey Milner

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a man who is literally driven to change the attitudes of the world and help us to make courage decisions and lead from the front.
In 1990, after serving for two years as Assistant Executive Director for Sigma Nu International Fraternity where he produced more than 20 video programs and two international conventions for the fraternity, he had established a reputation for creating and producing effective and powerful video presentations and special events.
However, it was in 2008 when he saw the reaction to one of the films he just produced, which caused quite as stir with whoever vewied it.
It was a reaction very distinct from his other creations.
This one sparked a demand.
The reason why has showed up in each of the nearly 4,000 stories he has accumulated via live texting from his keynote audiences that view the film..
Each story he received was heart-breaking.
Each story was filled with the shame and regret from not intervening in a moment of need.
Each story points to the pain we carry with us for the rest of our lives…pain that determines whether we will ever stick our neck out again.
Pain that impacts our own confidence and self-esteem.
It was with this realisation that the world need to take more responsibility for its actions that he created.
A movement away from the shame, regret and guilt we all feel from being bystanders to any injustice or wrongdoing.
A movement towards a whole new world where we are standing up, stepping in, and speaking out against inappropriate, abusive, and unhealthy behaviors.
A movement based on a creed that challenges us, inspires us, and moves us to action.
So why does he feel that we are world full of anti-heroes. Hoping that we don't get involved. Hoping that someone else will step in and help?

Todays guest began finding his path when he was an undergraduate, when he began work studying scalar energy.
He was inspired by various scientists, Nikola Tesla being the man one, as to the existence of an energy that is not of the electromagnetic spectrum.
Which we all know about such as electricity and magnetism.
Scalar energy, however is a totally different energy form, also known as prana, chi, radiant energy, zero point energy and many others
Now I'll be honest with you I have heard off chi, and radiant energy, but that is as far as my knowledge of this subject goes, and certainly until this week I had never heard of scalar energy.
But our guest knows a thing or two, as he pursued a course of independent study in order to better understand and subsequently harness this energy form, and in particular as to how it can be used for medicinal purposes.
He believes that this energy force will become, if its not already, the driving force that we will all live by.
So how did he first get interested in a subject which is so open to ridicule and discussion?
And does he see more and more people buying into this energy force, to support his research?

Some women are go-getters.
Some women are business-minded.
Some women use their struggles as building blocks for their success.
Todays guest does all of these things.
Born in Barbados but raised in South Carolina she had her fair share of ups and downs before she came to be known as the powerhouse she is now.
After a brief stint as a Burger King employee as a teenager, she was bitten by the entertainment bug after seeing her gospel-singer father perform.
And with total belief that she could make it, she decided to pursue her dreams, and found herself in Hollywood, homeless and with only $200 to her name.
After attending a model calling, due to solely overcoming her "hungry and penniless" state at the time, she not only booked the audition, but scored a one-year modeling contract the same day.
Not long thereafter, she made her small screen debut on the hit series Vital Signs, - filmed in Los Angeles, but broadcast in Germany - in which she starred as a young woman trying to make it in the United States, a storyline not too far off from the rising star's own life.
And now she was up and running and she continued to make a name for herself with a host of subsequent movie and television appearances, including the NBC sitcom, Just Shoot Me!
But her biggest break, however, came in 2003 when she launched her very own record label, Dirrty Records.
Upon the label's success in its home of Los Angeles, a second branch was set up in South Carolina, where the entrepreneur still calls home.
So were did she get the belief that the only way to move was forwards?
And when did she get fist inliking that success was to be had if only she kept hustling like mad?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start Joining Up Dots with the one and only Lunden De'Leon

Todays guest is a man who it appears has brought together the last few years of his employment history to create a hugely positive online resource for the world to savour.
Yes, he is the host of the Natural Born Coaches podcast, whereby he brings the best coaches from across the world to share their insights and professional experiences gained by coaching people.
He digs deeply, to get to the ideas that if you the listener are interested in becoming a coach, you can immediately implement to improve – things like how to get more clients and referrals, how to be paid what you’re truly worth and how to avoid the stress and burnout that hit people in this industry.
Starting his career in Real Estate with Royal Lepage Atlantic, he spent seven years working at finding the ideal home for the customers of his company.
But all the time, his real passion lay with coaching employees to improve their performance, or just to improve their own personal situations.
So after many years as an entrepreneur, he jumped into the coaching business (for small business owners), and created the programs that he would use with his clients, established systems, printed business cards, launched his website, a blog, the social media, and waited for clients to start beating down his door.
So he started prospecting harder every day. By reaching out to people in his target market, he got consultations and some clients (but too many that I was working with at discounted rates, or even worse, for free!). It was a frustrating situation.
And that is a position that so many people get to, and why they then turn full circle and go back into employment, being paid the monthly cheque.
So what was the point whereby his passions and talent started coming together and he saw the path he should be traveling?
And does he look back at the frustrating situation, and think "Man, that was the moment that really made me hit the real path, although I already thought I was on it"
So its with great delight that I bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mr Marc Mawhinney.

Coming originally from Dallas, but now living blissfully on several acres of Pennsylvania countryside, todays guest knows a thing or two about living great, feeling great, and doing things naturally.
Over the last few years he has worked enlightening people, as to how they can in his words" take back their power in the areas in which they give it away. "
Which may not mean much to you at the moment, but will certainly form the basis of our interview today.
He is regularly featured on television and radio where he shares his direct experiences, as to how we can make living a healthier lifestyle, and easy and fun too!
It is the simple no nonsense yet basic everyday living approach to his work, which has created a hugely loyal following over the years.
And with a series of publications that really tackle the pain points of people lives, such as "Acne Free in 3 Days: How I Cleared my Acne in Only 3 Days " and "Weight Loss By The Numbers" selling in large numbers he is sought after as the man to help.
And its not a surprise as someone who suffered as a young man with weight issues, he is in a prime position to speak from experience.
So why is it if you can cure acne in three days, that so many teenagers and young adults suffer with this issue again and again.
And what was the point in his own up bringing when he realised that he had to do something about getting into shape?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mr Chris Gibson.

Todays, guest joining us on the Steve Jobs inspired "Join Up Dots" business interview is all about perseverance, talent, struggle, and ultimate success.
This is an entrepreneur who has got to the top in his chosen career, and is now a World Guinness Book Of Records Holder too.
Back in 1998, he broke the worlds record for the most revolutions turned with a jump rope while pushing off and landing only on his backside in one minute, yep he did 56 "Rump Jumps".
Almost one a second.
He has since jumped his way into books, TV shows, countless live shows and, now, a series of energetic music albums and his own instructional books, by teaching kids and adults everywhere to get in shape while having fun, and The Rope Warrior as he calls himself, shows aspiring jump ropers how they can become rope stunt men and record holders themselves and amaze friends and family with incredible speed and agility.
But this isn't one of those conversations that is all about having fun, and enjoying yourself, but instead is about hustle, drive commitment to the task.
This is a show about a mans motivation to be the best that he can possibly be.
To find the freedom to create a lifestyle around doing something that he loves.
So where did this love of ropes and fitness come from?
And how did he realise that he could make a living at this?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and rope jumping entrepreneur the one and only David Fisher aka The Rope Warrior.

Todays guest has certainly been on a roller-coaster ride to where she now find herself today.
From a privileged background to alone and broke at 16; successful, high flying corporate career to entrepreneurial burnout at 35; wealth to near bankruptcy twice, her critical moments are many and her ability to convert failure into success an inspiration to everyone she meets.
And with such a track record of the highs and lows in life, it is little surprise that she has become passionate about inspiring women and young girls to utilise their female power and energy, and kick some serious booty.
With her two platforms “Well Heeled Divas” and “Girls Out Loud” gaining a passionate following, she works with ladies, and young ladies to find the thing that lights them up inside and think differently to recognise their full potential.
She believes that the we have the duty “to step up and create an outstanding life as opposed to settling for mediocrity.” which I suppose the vast amount of people on this world do.
She published her first book Superwoman – Her Sell By Date Has Expired!: Time to show Little Miss Perfect the door last year which is selling well, and certainly the future and the present appears very rosy indeed.
So where did her corporate career go wrong?
And why did she feel the need to go 360 and step away from the “what can I gain” mentally of corporate of the world, and move boldly into the “what can I give” world she now loves everyday?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mrs Jane Kenyon.

Todays guest is brought onto the show to share with us a story that so many have felt in the past.
That dawning realisation that the career that you have worked so hard for is beginning to lose its shine.
You have been full steam for years, doing great work, and then the shine slowly disappears and leaves you at a crossroads.
As he says on his own personal blog
"I had a successful career in sales, and just as I was coming off my best year in my career, the economy shifted. I lost two large clients due to set backs, but more importantly I lost my purpose. I didn’t know why I was doing my job anymore. Just a year after earning my highest commission ever, I was on the verge of losing my job. Sales wasn’t a life I was excited about anymore. The job and the stress were making me physically ill.
And I kept on thinking “Am I really supposed to be doing this?”
Have you thought the same thing in your life listeners?
I know I have.
But its what we do when we are at this point that is the key thing to everything.
Do we carry on at the crossroads, and keep on the path that we have always been on?
Or do we do as our guest did and "turned off the TV and start reading, traveling, and exploring other interests. Keeping his feet moving, until after soul¬-searching, everything lined up…his curiosity, his strengths and his purpose:
He’d discovered the simple steps that led him to truly enjoy life daily, and know in his heart of hearts that he had found what he was looking for.
Well, I'm sure you are all desperate to find out what he had found, and learn to smile as broadly as this guy seems to do everyday.
So let's not waste anymore time, but bring onto the show to start Joining Up Dots with the one and only Mr Mark Jamnik
Wed, 28 January 2015
Todays lady has one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen, and its not surprising to me, as it seems to me that she is someone who has found her thing in life.
And when you find your thing in life, you cant stop smiling as everything comes together and leaves you feeling great and full of the kind of energy that most people don't get to feel everyday.
As she says in her own words "You have the right to glow with love, to radiate positive energy, to live fancy-pants, to talk to trees/animals/nature/God, to eat an entire chocolate bar in one sitting, to dance with magic daily, to toast every moment of joy, to sleep in most days, to smile at everyone, to take the uncharted path, to receive millions just being who you are, to love whomever you desire with the fullness of your heart. You have the right to make this your most rockin life yet. No apologies, no diminishment of self. Just all you, being your all"
Wow, that is nothing short of amazingly positive
She began her journey towards this state of ""Wow" when she left her practical, corporate job in Marketing and Public Relations over 9 years ago—with all of its bonuses, benefits, and cash—to follow her lifelong dream of being a writer, and started up her own business as a freelance journalist.
But even though she had taken the leap of faith, she felt in her heart that she still hadn't found her path.
She had started walking along the path, but hadn't taken the right turning and found her own path. She knew that she needed more.
And that came after the removal of an ovarian cystic tumor, and weekly visits to a many different therapists and medical practitioners.
She was gaunt, had zero energy, and felt helpless, so at the suggestion of a friend, she took a drastic step towards healing—booking a two and a half week trip to a remote Brazilian village and received psychic surgery from renowned healer, John of God.
And that was the moment when her path changed direction and led her to where she is today. as an author, regular contributor for The Huffington Post, Master Success Coach, and Certified BodyTalk Practitioner.
Her books include “The Quest: A Tale of Desire & Magic” (currently being optioned as a feature-length film), “Following Bliss,” and “Anatomy of the Heart: Love Poems.”
So does she look back on her life and see the dots joining up to where she is now?
And is she like so many other people who are bemused when they now reflect on why it took so long to find their thing?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots with the one and only Heather Strang.

Todays guest is someone who has entrepreneurial spirit running through him, and has demonstrated this from an early age.
When he was 21 years old, he and his brother Scott started a business in direct sales, which they built to over $20 million in annual revenue while still in their twenties
They hustled, they worked hard and they achieved great success.
And for so many people that would have led to selling the company, to sit on a beach for the rest of your life time, but our guest was different.
He believed that he had an ability to lead by demonstrating influence and storytelling to his staff.
And more importantly he realised that by demonstrating his passion, enthusiasm, and of course sharing his talent for storytelling and encouragement with his employees, it was a great way to boost sales.
And this seems to have been a very astute realisation as he has since gone on to even more success by sharing this knowledge across the world.
He has presented sales techniques in over 37 countries in the world, and now with his best selling books The Power of Influence and The Power of Storytelling: The Art of Influential Communication flying off the shelf he stories are going out across the world.
And from his home in Utah, filled with his wife Sarah, daughters Andie and Lizzy and sons Tanner and Drew he looks a very content person indeed.
So was he surrounded by entrepreneurial parents and relatives when he was a younger man?
And what did he see in his brother Scott, that made him realise that he was the business partner of choice?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Ty Bennett.

Hi looking forward to recording with you shortly. If you do have headphones then please use them for superior audio quality. This will not require video. Thanks
In 2001, todays guest had everything a beautiful wife two sons, two thriving businesses and parents and brothers who loved and supported him in everything he did.
It seemed he couldn’t fail.
Everything he touched turned to gold.
And then a rushed decision to ignore safety in favour of getting home to see his baby boy take his first steps changed everything forever.
A few minutes of caution could’ve kept his golden life on track, and he would live to regret his decision – until he changed his mind about what his life was for.
A 2,000-pound bale of hay shattered his neck leaving him a quadriplegic.
But his dreams were not paralyzed that day – he became an example of what is possible.
With desperation, dedication and determination, and the help and love of his family and friends, he set out to reinvent himself, take risks, and do things he never thought he could or would do, even when his body was whole and fully functional.
In the years since his accident, he now travels the world, speaking to companies, kids in schools at all grade levels, families and individuals whose lives are being remolded by their own events.
He has become the living demonstration of what is possible, if we find different ways of doing what must be done.
So why can he now see the possibility in his life which weren't visible to him before the accident?
And if he could go back in time, would he still allow the accident to happen, or does he now see it as a gift to finding his true path in life?
Well lets find as it with great delight, that I start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Chad Hymas.

Todays guest is a lady who can help all of us, who spend the bulk of our days sitting in front of a computer, to throw off the aches and pains that besiege us all.
She admits to having a compulsion to straighten things in life, from the paper clips on her desk, to ensuring that her feet are in alignment with the tiles she is standing on and used to think it was an unhealthy obsession.
But then found out as a Pilates teacher she could utilize all of her straightening skills and help her students get out of pain with better positioning of their bones,
As she says " I love my job, I’m fascinated with the way the human body moves."
But her journey to this point, started in quiet a different route, as she originally studied at the University of California where she got a BA in Drama.
She began her career as an actor in Musical Theatre and doing voice over work, so her future could have been jazz hands, and performing.
Which in a funny kind of way it is today, as she performs stretches and leaps in front of classes of eager students, and on her Pilates For Your Life online video course.
Her mission is to help us experience as much joy in our daily lives as possible, and feeling great in our body will help us achieve that too.
So what was it about musical theatre that made her change direction and move into something that she loves?
And was it a struggle to get going and build her online profile, or did things fall into place unexpectedly?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Kristen Luppenlatz Grech

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a man that I have wanted to have on the show since the beginning.
I read these words on his personal blog, even before recording the first show and thought “Yep that is what I want the show to be about!”
He says “I do what I love in life and do my best to cut out what I don’t. Loving what you do means you will do more than if you don’t, so I’ve accomplished a few things to high levels while enjoying the process.
I’ve also made my life easy and fun. I think anyone can. In fact I think making life easy and fun is easy and fun, so love what you do while accomplishing more than you thought you could too.”
And it certainly seems that he is a man of his word.
But unusually, certainly in my experience, the education which has lead him to be a Professor at NYU, holder of five Ivy-League degrees, including a PhD in Astrophysics and an MBA, both from Columbia University, where he studied under a Nobel Laureate, helping to build an X-ray observational satellite orbiting the Earth as part of a multi-billion-dollar decade-plus mission led by the European Space Agency with NASA to name a few, doesn’t normally lead to having the word fun as a forerunner of life.
But this is a man who is different.
He challenges himself to be the best that he can be, even if he sometimes bites off a bit too much, like the time he decided with a friend to swim across the Hudson River in New York, and found the experience somewhat tough to say the least.
People ask him “So what do you do?” habitually. and he doesn’t know how to answer them.
But what he does know is he has had the best relationships and friendships of his life with the most amazing people he can imagine, and learned and kept active and healthy the whole time”
Sounds pretty good to me.
So without further ado, lets bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mr Joshua Spodek

Todays guest is a lady who I have wanted to have on the show for quite a while, as she does something on a daily basis that so many people struggle with.
She has learnt to beat the fear of reaching out to people that she doesn't personally know, and get to know them.
She calls it networking, but other call it a step too far.
It's the thing that can stop so many people in their tracks as they start to build a business.
Why would this person respond to me?
What have I got offer to that person?
But it's true to say that she, has built a whole business around the right way to do this, and is an expert in making connections across the world, and now uses these connections to build a powerful basis to help her clients explode their incomes.
Starting her education in New York, she gained both a Bachelor of Arts and a MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, which of course set her on the right track to where she is today
But as we talk about time and time again it is great to have the education but nothing helps you more than flexing the hustle muscle on a daily basis.
Add to that the ability to play to your natural strengths and you are cooking on gas.
And that's what todays guest did, as although not considering herself as an entrepreneur she showed this hustle whilst still in business school, when she organised a conference to empower women, and in the process made lots off great connections in the media by doing so.
She had found the thing that lights her up inside and makes her want to spring out of bed every morning, but like so many of us didn't realise that she had.
Instead she went into the traditional corporate route and moved through a series of positions at Avon, Step Womans Network and Claudiachan to name a few, working for the Man or Woman and building her business experience.
However, she came to the point when she knew that the path she was on was not the one for her.
She had enough in her armoury to go out on her own and in 2013 created the S2 Groupe and made the leap.
So how did she not realise back in business school that connecting people, and showing the world the best practices for networking was the thing she should be doing?
And how did she know it was time to go out on her own, and was she as scared as all of us who decide to make the leap?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Selena Soo.

Todays guest is a man whose middle name is "Attitude" and works everyday on showing others how the A word is really the key to everything.
Well to be honest I don't know if his middle name is Attitude. but it certainly should be.
As he says "What’s The Value of Your Attitude? There is an old saying that “attitude is everything”. Is that true? I think Attitude is the START of everything! Attitude determines your thoughts and ultimately your actions."
We can decide every morning if we are going to have a great day.
We can literally choose whether we are going to achieve our goals just by choosing how we decide to think and start taking action.
But of course that is more easily said than done, so how has he managed to build a life around not only thinking this way, but also helping others to turn their mind-set to a ten?
Well one of the things which just happens to be the name of his second book is you have to "Be Yourself Improve Yourself"
Find your authentic self, relax into who you were born to be, stop striving to compete against high achievers and enjoy life.
Which is exactly what he has done.
But how did he come to this realisation that this was the only way to operate whilst on this planet?
And does he see common themes that run through all of us no matter where he finds himself presenting to eager dream chasers!
Well lets bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Matt Booth

Todays guest is one of those guests that I love having on the show, because they put so many of us old guys to shame.
He is the founder of "Teenager Entrepreneur", an educational and empowerment online membership site that guides teenagers to discover their passions, and profit from them.
Even though still a young man himself he realised early that self confidence was the key to teenagers finding their passions, and then believing totally that they can turn those passions into money making enterprises.
By cultivating a profitable income, and focusing in on their futures, aspiring teenagers will foster self-confidence which then leads them to tackle bigger and bolder visions.
Having networked with and learned cutting edge business strategies from New York City’s most influential, ranging from Mike Michalowicz to Patty Lennon and Ramon Ray, he offers years of business insight.
Bu if you think that this is a guy who is sitting in his bedroom creating online capital and courses, then think again, as he is also the driving force behind the weeklong summercamps, whereby in person he will cover each segment of the online membership site and really help his students to success.
Teenager Entrepreneur is built on the principle of helping teenagers to transcend their current state and become extraordinary.
Wow I love this, talk about hustle.
So where did he get his vision for the Teenage Entrepreneur?
And why has he managed to do something so successfully, that so many people struggle with until much later, or sometimes not at all....find their thing in life.
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only, Mr Michael Guberti.

Todays guest is a lady who is rocking it bigtime as the President of Padron Social Marketing, which is a relationship-driven social media specialising in strategy, implemtation and analysis.
If that doesn't mean anything to you then lets say she is the go to lady to help you build communitites of raving fans, clambering around your business by using social media.
As she says " It's no longer optional to have a presence, but having a presence is just the beginning. "
It is her true passion, and one that led to her taking the old leap of faith and going it alone.
You see for many people our guest had already reached the peak, and was a Director of Marketing for the company that she was working for, but at the age of 28 knew that she had had enough experience, passion and understanding to take her vision into the world.
And that is just what she has done, and with Padron Social Marketing going from strength, does she feel that she was fortunate to step into the field of play when most people didn't know a tweet from a like?
And would she have done anything differelty as she built her company from the start?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Katrina Padron

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a man who wants the world to buy into a simple statement "Stop Doing Nothing"
He wants the world to improve their lives and change the situations that they find themselves in.
And as we do everyday on the show, this guy has a wish that he could go back in time and share some great advice with his younger self in High School.
As he says "There are so many life lessons I'd share with myself. But more importantly I'd lay down a good set of ground rules and beliefs to guide me for the next few decades. It is great when you learn how the world is structured. But sometimes it takes too long to figure out."
Starting his career at the car hire company Hertz, he moved through a series of positions whilst working for the man, with many of them being linked to the development of others.
He thrived as a trainer travelling the world for the software company Serena, but interestingly, and I love this about him, since 1990 he has been developing his own side hustle with his global mission "Stop Doing Nothing" at the same time.
For over 25 years, whilst still working for other people, he has been building his own company that is on a mission to lift people to new levels of happiness and achievement.
Their mission statement: “To work with individuals and help them plan and execute their ideal life so they wake up excited every day. They do this with online training, seminars, one-on-one coaching, and other tools to help us all build our actionable plans of execution.”
So side hustle, talking to your younger self, inspiring the world to work towards their dream lives, let me introduce to you the new host of Join Up Dots!
No, I'm not giving this gig up, but it is with delight that I bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only, Patrick Allmond.

Todays guest entrepreneur, joining us on the Steve Jobs inspired business podcast is a man whose name came up in conversation on a previous episode of Join Up Dots.
And not in a "there's this man that I know", kind of way but like "Wow, there is this amazing man who is brilliant at what he does" kind of way.
And so I sought him out and I am delighted that he agreed to come on the show and start joining up his dots.
Hefirst found the motivation to begin working on building his careers, as a 14 year old, in his hometown Pittsburgh, when he was hired to do a community news column for "The Signal Item," a weekly newspaper.
And his life has been intertwined with both the written and spoken word ever since.
He received dual degrees in Journalism and Radio-TV-Motion Pictures at the University of North Carolina and also served as news editor and anchorman which meant that by the time he graduated from the University, he had already logged over 1,000 live television broadcasts.
And this all occurred before joining the military as still a young man, and tackling another big dot in his life, serving his country.
Although much happened in his life leading today, you can now find him tutoring speakers, in the nuances of voice control and speech writing, or presenting keynote presentations across America and enjoying himself.
He has found the freedom to create his path in his life that plays to his natural talents, and brings enjoyment to himself and everyone that he comes in contact with.
And that of course is the best way to build success in your life.
So what is it about being a wordsmith that appeals to him on a daily basis?
And is there a thrill to performing live that he doesn't get anywhere else in his life?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only expert wordsmith todays entrepreneur Lou Heckler

Todays guest is a master at helping people become entrepreneurial and create businesses that not only work, but flourish.
He learned from an early age that he had the ability to see a larger vision and that everything is an opportunity.
This was the foundation on which he built his reputation as an International Entrepreneur, growing successful companies across six continents.
But it also helps massively when you come to the realisation that "You cant work for anyone else" and that realisation certainly is a huge part that has made our guest flex his hustle muscle, and start swinging.
He started his career in probably one of the most inspirational, positive environments possible, as for eight years he worked in the Anthony Robbins Companies in San Diego, where he trained, coached and inspired people everyday.
And from that point onwards two things seemed to come together massively.
Firstly he realised that he had an amazing talent to helping people grow their businesses, and love what they are doing at the same time, and secondly he found that he loved doing this more than anything else.
And that seems to me to be a common trait to achieving great success.
Find the thing you love doing most, which fulfils the largest need in others.
And now as a keynote speaker, coach, mentor and author of the bestselling book The 7 Stages of Small-Business Success: From Startup to Seven Figures in Three Years or Less where he makes the thought provoking statement "The personality of a business will mirror the personality of its owner." he is a man on a mission
So when did he realise that he was unemployable and couldn't work for anyone else again?
And did he boldly go into the unknown, certain of success, or did he carry the same fears that we all have striding out on our own?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Carl Gould.

Todays guest has a fascinating tale that has lead to a success that many adults might stop for a moment and ponder why and how has that occurred?
She is the owner and founder of a skipping club in New York city, whereby she arranges groups of people to get together and go on skipping adventures.
And when we say skipping, yep it is as you might be imagining.
It's the type of hopscotching, kid type of skipping which is going down a storm around the streets of New York, but you may not have done it for years.
Each outing, which includes a few pit stops along the way, is centred on a topic of the week, such as the Beatles or Valentines Day, and a bit of dressing up to match that theme is required.
And this for many would sound dreadful, but for others (me included) sounds fun, enjoyable and a fear smasher.
Skip your way around New York and literally change your life whilst your doing it.
Don't be worried about what other people think, but just do your thing, and love doing it.
And that statement really empashises what todays guest is doing through to her core.
From working at Vogue and Saks, to creating an online game, to help her experience every amazing thing NYC had to offer, to wearing an afro for months on end and writing about it .
She is a lady on a mission, doing things her own way, and loving it.
So did she always have this energy of creative fun in her life?
And why does she think that the world is by and large frightened of enjoying themselves, and looking for ways to enjoy themselves whilst earning at the same time?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Michelle Joni.

Todays guest is a lovely lady who first came to my attention as a listener and friend and colleague of several other guests who have appeared on Join Up Dots who waxed lyrical about her.
Starting her journey in Mexico she lived across the border until coming to America in 2004, and since then has developed as a professional content designer, helping organizations and individuals align their business goals with their content and learning strategies so they can focus on growing their business.
She develops the structure that allows companies to strengthen from within.
But its not just organisations that love her, as she also has the skills to help us all break free from the shackles that hold us back, as she works with individuals to redesign their own lives too.
She knows what it takes to take stock on what has happened in your past, to move forward into the future, as she has come to many conclusions about her own upbringing that has made her who she is today, some good, some bad.
Her parents were not what she would have wanted.
But realising that growing up in, as she says "a dysfunctional family" was not going to define the choices that were hers to make, has been simply life changing.
In short she is rocking and rolling, loving her life, and being really authentic to herself and now making brave decisions every day.
So its with delight that I bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Lily Kreitinger
Wed, 14 January 2015
Steve Jobs knew a thing or two about connecting up dots, and todays guest entrepreneur joining us on the Freedom inspiring podcast knows that thing too.
He is ready to break free from his restraints and try something new.
So do you get scared trying something new?
Do you start to wobble if someone asks you to get up in front of people and be authentically yourself?
Do you think that you haven't got enough time in a day to make the momentum to work towards something rewarding and exciting?
Well for most of us these are questions that stop us in our tracks before we get to do anything.
But for todays guest he is either 420 years old, or he has worked out how to maximise every second of every day to create a body of work that is hugely impressive.
Over 400 articles in print, an appearance on Canada's Got Talent, over 3,000 interviews with the high achievers of the world, professional Comedian with over 400 performances to credit, professional Singer / Songwriter with 3 CD's, Radio Appearances, and over 500 performances to credit, sought after Award Winning Speaker, bringing three 3 Stage-Plays and a One-Man Show to Life, you get the idea........
So is this going to be a conversation about hustle, talent, belief, courage, or all of them?
Well we will find out, but I am fascinated at what started this journey off?
Was he inspired by a relative, friend, or teacher who was doing stuff their way everyday of the week?
Or does he just have a way of compressing time to live a life that is full and eclectic?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start in he words of Steve Jobs joining up dots, with the one and only amazing entrepreneur Corey Poirer.

Todays guest has been on her journey to todays point since back in 1993, when she first began work as a researcher for Shugoll Research in Maryland, where she spent three years before starting a series of positions leading to her co-founding Schedule Max in 2010.
And we see this time and time again on Join Up Dots, entrepreneurs will generally spend the beginning of their careers moving from role to role, as they look to find their own thing.
Gaining experience in each.
Learning what they don't want to do in life.
Fine turning their skills before finding the thing that lights them up inside.
And this seems to be certainly the case with todays guest, as since 2010 she has worked tirelessly to build the resource Schedule Max, an online scheduling service for businesses across the world.
Don't waste time trying to find the right time for a client appointment, let them find one that works well for the both of you, which leaves business owners with more time to focus on growing their business and incomes.
But alongside this she has also found the time to go my route and create the incredibly popular podcast BixChix.com, where she interviews amazing female entrepreneurs and a few cool dudes 5 days a week.
Discussing their journeys, struggles and passion to go that one step further each day, even when they feel they are at the end.
So does she feel that she has found the love of her life with both these businesses, or are they another stepping stone towards the big one....her life's work?
And how does a guy become a cool dude and make it on her show???
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start Joining Up Dots with the one and only Natalie Eckdahl

When we started Join Up Dots many, many episodes ago, it was my aim to show you all, how different people achieve different things in their lives.
Some people quit their nine to five and take a dramatic leap of faith, whilst following their dreams.
Other people, like myself, take a more hesitant "Slide of faith" and continue working on the side hustle until the time when it is right to go and do their own thing.
Well todays guest is like that, and is creating an online identity and profile, alongside a brick and mortar business in the holistic world of Kinesiology, which is a holistic approach of simultaneously treating all the aspects of a person, emotional, nutritional, structural and energetic needs, whilst still working for the man.
After spending a number of years suffering from a vast array of illness and discomfort, she discovered this form of treatment and founded the company Body Sync in 2010, to take her understanding and training out into the world to help others.
And it's that delight to share and help others which has positioned herself as the Digestion Detective which is a franchised online show, found in ITunes and available on UK Health Radio each week, where she talks and discusses health and health issues.
Throw into the mix regularly contributions to various publications which have included Health & Fitness magazine, Daily Mirror, Prima and Cosmopolitan to name just a few, you get the picture that this lady is a hustler, who works hard everyday to achieve her aim.
But what is that aim? Where does she see her life going? And what does she love doing most her own thing, or working for someone else?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only Sam Bearfoot.

Todays guest is a lady who can get more done in a day than most people get done in a week.
Actually she can get more done in a hour than others do in a week.
She is a master at productivity and blitzing though piles of work at a rate of knots, and ensuring she gains maximum results from her work too.
But don't think that this a lady who burns the candle at both ends, and just works harder than most.
She looks amazing, seems to have more energy than most, and can often be seen whizzing around on her Harley Davison, or searching for another pair of shoes for her expanding collection.
She loves her life, she loves her job, and she loves getting out in front of people and presenting her time saving strategies to the world
With a strong background in learning and development and managing large teams at various corporations, she is the perfect fit for organizations wanting a presenter to provide implementable strategies to save time, increase focus and help their people get more done.
Not the kind of stuff that you might have seen time and time again, when the work management takes as long as doing the job in the first place.
But practical stuff that can make a huge difference.
She is the author of eight business books including "Folding Time, Secrets of Super-Productivity, Strategic Networking and Network or Perish" to name just a few.
So what is about this Australian lady, that has made her see that there is so much wasted time in life, and for the most we are simply doing the wrong things at the wrong time.?
And why has she left her home in Australia, which is one these places that so many would die to live in, and now has two homes, the other being in America.
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Neen James.

Todays show focuses in on transformation, and how we can all change ourselves for the better by making simple choices everyday.
Our guest has been helping clients across the world for many years, to take the steps towards awakening our inner butterfly.
And what she means by this, is like a butterfly that soars around the garden, flying on picture perfect wings, we all start our lives as caterpillars.
Not aware of what we can truly become, and will become if we decide to become our true selves.
The people that we were put on this earth to become.
And our guest has certainly been on a journey to discover who she truly is too.
Being born in Hamburg Germany, she at first studied sculpture and cinematography before moving to New York City in 1984.
Three years later, she found herself living in Los Angeles and has called the place her home for over twenty years, as she has developed her creativity and built her business to help us all discover how to enjoy every aspect of our lives.
Become our butterflies.
And it is with this passion for change, that led to her building the Quantum Heart Field Experience, where she help people who can feel the desire for change, or know that they are at the starting point of a conscious shift in their lives.
She is an ordained minister with the International Metaphysical Ministry, spiritual counselor, and life coach, and published author off the the bestselling book The Transformation Promise: A Book About Love, Healing and the Flow of Life.
So its with huge delight that I bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Johanna Derbolowsky.

Todays guest entrepreneur is a man who has a thing going on which when I heard about it I knew that I had to have him on the show.
How many times have you heard me talk about finding that thing in your life when you literally lose hours at a time.
You get so engrossed in the activity that you look at the clock and think "God it feels that I just had breakfast and it's lunchtime already!"
And that my friends is true success.
It might have been a while since you last felt that feeling whilst working in your current job or occupation.
And that is where our guest comes in.
He provides his life changing method "Flowcoaching" to lead a highly successful and well rewarded life doing what matters most to you.
He believes as I do that it can also transform any business into a happy, creative and passionate place that inspirational people seek out.
You enjoy yourself more, get more things done, and therefore have more free time for yourself.
Yep cake and eat it time.
But he wasn't always on this path, as he was once a banking litigation lawyer before building (from scratch) and running a successful international investment banking recruitment business; in his last 3 years he personally billed over £2.75 million in revenue and juggled that task with the responsibility of running and managing the business.
Nowadays, however he no longer believes he has to be ‘hard-nosed’ to get things done, however, he is just as keen on adding value to his clients’ lives and businesses.
And of course enjoying himself too. He loves climbing a mountain or two. Can't beat jumping on his bike. And is even a world record breaker!
So when did he realise that the ability to immerse yourself in an activity in such a way is the way to go?
And does he see more and more people now looking for the same things in life?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only Mr Chris Randall

Todays guest is a lady who is a master at book publishing, and helping the world with their own book publishing.
She is a lady who is was born in New York and now lives and works from her present home in the United Kingdom and as far as i can see never stops smiling.
She is the founder & CEO of The Book Midwife® and Panoma Press, a cooperative publishing house for business and personal development authors.
Which means that if you want to be an author, and get to the top of the charts then this lady is the place to go.
Or perhaps you are in the process of writing a book and are struggling to get words onto the page.
You are walking around, not shaving, wearing your dressing gown for days on end, blaming writers block for your distress.
Well she can blow these issues out of the water, as for a start she feels there are no reasons for writers block, she feels its just bad planning.
Its what we do before we get truly creative which is the key to everything.
And that is what the Book Midwife is about.
Along with her team, she can help you give birth to the finished article, and help it get into the hands of the people who need it most by utilising promotion, media appearances and a myriad of other trusted routes to success.
With a client base of over 500 published clients its not a surprise that she has now been an international speaker for more than 15 years and has presented to over 10,000 business executives and entrepreneurs in over 10 countries.
But did she always want to be in the publishing business, or like many of us did she stumble into it by accident?
And what does she feel is the hardest part to anyone, who wants to do as she has and start their own successful business?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start Joining Up Dots with the one and only Mindy Gibbins-Klein

My guest today, on the Join Up Dots free podcast interview is the co-founder of Sales Elite and is a sales professional with over 12 years of sales and leadership experience within the technology industry.
Most recently he has 9 years’ experience at Oracle America, Inc. building a successful Sales and Business Development organization of over 100 sales professionals.
He is a certified sales professional and also President of the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals Austin Chapter.
Which all sounds very grand, and I suppose less than unusual.
But it seems to me that it was the big decisions in his earlier life which were unusual and formed so much of what he does today and where he does it.
From the decision to move away from home in Belfast as a child and attend school in Scotland, to deciding to work in Japan where her met his now wife, he took on experiences and challenges bold and exciting.
But it wasn’t until attending a leadership development program at George Mason University and participating in his first triathlon that the spark to light his entrepreneurial journey truly began.
And the rest is history.
So why did this boy from Northern Ireland take such big steps as a child?
And has his journey been one, that when reflected upon was perfect and planned to perfection, or one made up of seemingly unconnected dots?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Gary Smyth

Starting her career in the Corporate world, our guest started her working life as far away from being the kick ass slayer of weight issues that you could possibly hope to be.
Working at first for Citibank, she moved through a series of banking positions at a rate of knots.
Many of them not lasting more than a few months in total.
A lady trying to find herself, whilst earning a living.
Not understanding the true passions that she had for helping others.
But all the while building the hustle muscle to explode from the gates when the opportunity appeared to her.
And that opportunity looks as if it appeared when she started working for the New York Institute for Integrative Nutrition that the dots began to join up and the path began to show itself to her.
But perhaps it didn't and she was always interested in what caused weight issues and how to resolve them.
I suppose we will find out during the conversation, but what is true is as she says in her own words "My goal is to empower women around the issue of weight management and body image, so they can start living their lives like the badasses they really are.
Your weight dramas are scared of me - I slay them all day. "
So was she a lady that has struggled with weight in the past, or was she someone surrounded by people that she realised that she could help?
And what was it about the corporate world that for an outsiders point of view didn't really fit her?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only, Isabel Foxen Duke

Todays guest is a lady who believes that there is nothing better in life than a good laugh.
And although many of us do this, when a close relative falls over, or some other unexpected rib tickler occurs not many of us ever think of bringing this merriment into our business lives.
You don't go to work to enjoy yourself, appears to be the mantra that so many people live their lives by after all.
But when you consider the health benefits that chuckling can bring to you, such as a huge boost to the immune System by releasing endorphins, protecting the heart by improving the function of blood vessels, and helping to bring about better sleep then its simply not something to laugh about.
We should all be doing it more, and certainly making sure we do it whilst at work too.
And so our guest over the last fifteen years has taken this approach into the corporate world where, she coaches individuals and teams to reconnect, communicate, and be more productive...through humor, laughter, and improvisation.
She wants us to find the childlike side of our characters and bring it once more to the fore.
Be the person we were before life became serious and paying the bills became our number one focus.
And with the honour of being crowned the American Laughing Champion of 2013, where she fought her way to the top prize by demonstrating such high class cackling as best maniacal laugh, best multiplex laugh and the best laughing fit, there is no doubt she has the credentials to educate, and inspire whilst entertaining too.
So when did she find that there was a need to bring this kind of thinking into the corporate arena?
And what the hell is the best multiplex laugh?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots, the one and only Julie Ostrow .

Todays guest is a man who likes nothing more than having a laugh in both his personal and business life.
Throw into the mix his love of inspiring people, communicating at a high level, and leaving a lasting impression on everyone that he meets and you get the flavour of what he is all about.
Starting his career in the form of corporate entertainment, he would wow the crowds across America and on the huge cruise ships, with humorous commentary and magic tricks.
He knew that he could be funny and entertain, but could he combine the fun with the message?
Could he strengthen his proposition by tackling the issues that business struggle with, all the time still keeping to his authentic self.
Well he has done just that by starting "Laugh-O-Nomics"....yep that's a proper word, and now speaks on a range of subjects, but loves nothing more to discuss happiness at work.
As he says "Happy people have, on average, 31% higher productivity; their sales are 37% higher; their creativity is three times higher.” and companies are missing a trick.
They haven't quite grasped the fact that people having a good time, keeping moral at a high level, and working hard is the best thing that every company can have on their premises.
The days of setting huge targets and cracking the whip to ensure that it all gets done should hopefully now be a thing of the past?
So does he find that the hardest people to bring round to his hugely valuable message are the middle managers of the world?
And when did he realise that all his talents had come together to take him into the motivational speaking world and flourish whilst he is there?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Brad Montgomery.

Todays guest is a lady who likes nothing better than helping us all on our way to a better life than we presently have.
As she says “I was a freelance writer, for a small Sydney magazine, before I realised a dream to help others create the lifestyle that they truly deserved. I use the word ‘deserved’ with intention.
It was one of my first, big spiritual realisations: We are not all living our highest potential, we deserve so much more than we’ve been taught to expect.”
That’s a fascinating insight not just to this ladies outlook, but also life itself.
Why are we taught from such a small age to be realistic, be practical and leave the dreaming to, well the dreamers.
Shouldn’t we be encouraging people to go for the mad stuff, the big stuff, the stuff that real dreams are made off?
Challenging them to grow to the highest potential possible?
Well since 2006 our guests life has been one intertwined with the all of this and more, and with such personal values such as laugh regularly, think differently, be persistent, be abundant (and give generously) and live what you love, she has clients flocking to her business looking for a similar mind-set to propel them to success.
So where did her positive outlook really kick in and allow her to speed forward to success?
And does she find it easier to change peoples mind-sets than most people might consider possible, bear in mind a whole life’s programming?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots, with the one and only Monique Williams.

Todays guest is a lady who from her base in South London, is bringing lightness and a purpose to clients, friends and colleagues everywhere.
She is a positive person, who thrives on the simple things in life, and likes nothing more than getting her running shoes on and pounding the streets of London and beyond, whilst inspiring ladies to do the same too.
She is a coach, mentor, runner, blogger and best of all...no I shouldn't say this but an avid listener of Join Up Dots with David Ralph.
Now if this sounds like a lady who has had everything go swimmingly in her life then think again, as 14 years ago, her mum killed herself, and in our guests own words.....
"To say my world shattered into a million tiny pieces would be an understatement. After her death, I shut down - deciding to stay small - I couldn’t bear the thought of living the life I wanted to live, for fear of my world blowing apart again.
And so I lived like this for many years, working in unfulfilling corporate jobs and feeling like I wanted to crawl under my desk every day and cry.
It was through a mixture of years of therapy and coaching that I began to emerge from my sleepwalking-through-life lumber and start to recognise that life had so much to offer, so much possibility and joy, and it was down to ME to find it inside myself to live the life I wanted."
And that is the key message to the shows we deliver
It is down to me, you, and all of us to encourage each other to find the lives we want, and get the dream that we deserve.
But more than anything it is down to wanting something so bad that we wont stop until we get it.
So does she look back at her life as one of two halves now?
And where does shed the ability to tackle clients issues head-on, when she has dealt with so much herself in her life?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Liz Goodchild

Are you someone that likes a laugh in life but sometimes feels that there is a time and a place for it?
You will suppress it and keep the stoney face that your bosses or environment seem to want as the normal way of being.
Well todays guest is an expert in Gelotology the study of laughter and its effects on the body, and travels the world presenting in a humorous but informative manner that audiences have been raving about for years.
He teaches us to find the funny in situations even if those situations aren't outwardly the humorous types that we should be laughing at.
And I guess that will make the world a lot nicer to live in I imagine.
Starting his career way back in 1963 designing shows for tv characters such as Captain Kangaroo, he seems a man that from the start has managed to mix work and play, enjoying himself in most situations that he found himself in.
And now with over 20 books written on the subject of laughter such as "The Healing Power of Humor, The Courage to Laugh, and Change Your Life!" does he still feel that their is a lot to be done to get his message out there?
And does he feel that the world is losing the ability to laugh quite in the same way as we would have done in years gone by?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with Mr Laughter himself, Mr Allen Klein.

Todays guest is a man who is driven to spread the premise of accountability across the world.
He believes that we are all looking around for someone else to take control, or someone else to show us the way to the life that we want.
Its actually ourselves that are setting our own schedules, and finding the excuses why we don't do something.
Its us who look around for someone to blame when things go wrong.
Its us that tell us how tired we are, or need a night off.
No one else.
And in his pursuit to get this message out to the widest audience he has authored 10 books, is the creator of The Accountability Academy®, and has been a contributing author to countless publications throughout his career.
But what makes his message so powerful is that the principles that he preaches are as valid to an individual as a huge organisation.
He can help turn round failing businesses, poor performing teams, or simply find the spark to make us all start saying "No Excuses" anymore.
So where did he start getting going in his career, or did he always have the belief that it was excuses that hold us back?
And does he believe that the path he is treading is aligned to his authentic self, or has he become successful by finding something that he is great at, even if it wasn't part of the master plan?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Sam Silverstein.

Most of the time on Join Up Dots I write the intros to the show, by researching many different resources to get a flavour of what the guest is all about.
And then every once in a while a guest comes along who basically writes their own intro, and this is what happened today
I checked her "about page" and saw the following, and thought wow how can I top that.....so in her own words
"In the past twelve years I have had to deal with more than a healthy helping of “are you kidding me?” moments.
In 2002, I hit rock bottom. It was so bad I lovingly refer to it as a year of “shock and awfulness.” That year my father died, my mother was in the hospital, semi-comatose from grief, and my husband of 22 years lost every penny of our money BEFORE running off to Arizona with his girlfriend, who just happened to be a former stripper.
That was just the beginning.
I spent the next decade struggling with loss and challenges on every front, from finances and family to health and career.
While there were many bounces up and down over the years, I have finally bounced back and it was well worth the effort. I’m now happily remarried, employed and have published my second book. I even have children on three continents and a granddaughter far too far away!!"
Now that is a movie in the making if I ever saw one.
So what is it about todays guest that has managed to find the strength and desire to pull herself back in such a spectacular way?
And why is her book called "My Pineapples Went To Houston"?? I can't wait for the reason behind that.
So let's not wait any longer, and start joining up dots with the one and only Lee Gaitan

Todays show is going to be different from the majority of the Join Up Dots shows that have been delivered to the world so far.
But in many ways it has the same traits too.
Strength, courage, openness, persistence, creativity and love are in abundance on this show.
Todays guest has experienced something that so many people have endured in their desire to start their own families....miscarriage.
Along with his wife, Kristine and his three children Elise, Charis and Clare, he made the bold decision to instead of pretending it never happened, and to speak about it in hushed tones, he would embrace the fact. He would keep the children that he had lost alive within the fabric of his family.
He wrote the amazingly powerful book "Letters To My Unborn Children" where he not only writes letters to the children he lost, but explains from the heart how he felt from hearing the words "You are going to be a dad" to walking away from another terrible heartache.
Three times he has dealt with something so personal and heart-breaking that you wouldn't wish it on anyone, anywhere
This is a moving book, that shows that fathers are as much a part of the process of grieving and healing, and need the same support as mothers, but for some reason do not get the same aftercare.
So how did he manage to write something, that even in the first few chapters that I read I struggled to go on with feeling the upset and distress that he has been through?
And was the book well received by everyone, or does the world need to hide away from these things?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start Joining Up Dots with the one and only Shawn Collins.

Todays guest entrepreneur is quite remarkable, and its not just me that says that, but also thousands of people who he has presented to over the last few years.
He is a professional speaker, and record breaking businessman, author and someone who focuses in on Business mastery and also has the "come on guys you can do the impossible you just have to start taking action" vibe nailed down too.
He can help us all get the champion mind-set and build the strength and courage to tackle the "impossible" head on.
We can build lives that give us the freedom to experience what we could only dream about.
But his life didn't start in such a positive way, as at fourteen years old he was hit head-on by a drunk driver while riding his bicycle.
The neurosurgeon said, “If he survives the night, he will be a vegetable for the rest of his life.”
And certainly the diagnosis looked accurate, as he was in a coma for four days, in casts and rehabilitation for a year, and suffered problematic effects lasting many years.
After the accident, life was a cycle of ups-and-downs until he learned the tools and strategies he teaches today.
He started his professional career as a carpenter and exceled with woodcraft, and then created his first business at age 24, when he entered into the residential contracting and real estate investment business.
But it wasn't until after a divorce whilst still a young man, did his life really start to find traction and he began to fire sparks across the world.
In 2011, he decided he wanted to do something amazing.
He wanted to make a difference.
He wanted to leave his mark.
He wanted success.
So from a casual runner, in just nine months he went to running 2,621 miles across America joining the ranks of the most elite ultra-runners in the world.
For 100 consecutive days, he ran a marathon distance, and then gave an inspirational keynote speech to at-risk groups and donated 10,000 of his books "Dream Big Act Big" to the audiences he met.
He ran into New York city waving a huge American flag, surrounded by hundreds of runners, and entered the record books.
And since then he has continued to provide inspiration to everyone that he meets, undertaking many challenges that so many people would look at as daunting and undoable.
So what is it about the world today that sees the challenge too big to even start taking action on?
And was there a moment when he realised that he had the mental strength to tackle anything?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only freedom fighting, america running Croix Sather.

Todays guest has been on a path for over 45 years, which so many people across the world will be able to resonate with.
She was a binge eater.
Finding huge comfort and them ultimate distress in her relationship with food.
For 45 years, she went through the yo-yo dieting/binge cycle time after time.
Her weight would balloon 40 or 50 pounds, and then she would diet to try recapture her body, depriving herself of all the foods she enjoyed.
She was trapped and didn't know how to escape from the lifestyle that was anything but a happy one.
She suffered the shame, guilt and embarrassment of feeling out of control that every binge eater feels, wondering what was wrong with her and what others must think of her as they watched her gain the weight back over and over.
But now as the creator of the "magic zone" system where she teaches people how to eat what they want in moderation, never feeling deprived and never feeling compelled to binge, she hasn't binged once.
And with her online platform Peaceful Eater and her best selling book Stop Binge Eating and Start Living Again she seems to have found her place in life.
So was she always a lady that even a child had a relationship with food that wasn't conducive to peace of mind and healthy living?
And does she find that people struggle more and more with eating disorders as the media increase their focus on beauty and gorgeous celebrities?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Julie Latz.

Todays guest is a lady who can call herself a true lady of the globe.
Coming originally from Denmark, she grew up in the Scandinavian countryside clambering around the hills and fjords happily, until moving to Paris for three years to live in the capital of romance and culture.
But now she calls the UK home and has been living in London since 1996.
Yep, we have adopted her as one our own.
And she has appeared to flourish whilst living in London, as her career went from strength to strength, as she worked hard on a career in Human Resources for companies such as Morgan Stanley, Citigroup and Shell.
But it is ok to have a career that is on the ascendency , well actually it's a great thing, but when you have a career that is going well, but you want to do your own thing, then it can feel quite differently.
And our guest knew that her path was going to change
She had always wanted to start her own career change consultancy, so in 2005 did just that, and quit her well paid job to go it alone.
She walked away from the consistent monthly salary, and started flexing her hustle muscle on a daily basis.
And now as she says on her business site "I have a knack for quickly connecting with people and drawing them out thereby helping them understand how they can translate their unique personality, skills and interests into a career or business on their terms.
Combining my experience of career coaching over 500 clients, 8 years+ of owning my own business and a background in HR, I can offer you the practical know-how, motivation and confidence to actually make your career change or business idea happen!"
So lets find out how this Scandinavian lady came to leave the glorious Danish countryside, to live in the English Capital?
And does she see a need for more and more assistance to be offered to wannabe entrepreneurs nowadays, than compared to when she started back in 2005?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Rikke Hansen.

Todays guest is a lady who has been on a journey of success, failure, struggles and self discovery
For years, she suffered from a long list of physical, emotional, and financial problems.
After giving away all her possessions, an extended spiritual journey connected her to the deeper parts of herself that led her to everything she needed to find health, well-being, and peace of mind.
In the 1980s, she thought she was on the way to financial security as she rapidly built a wholesale, retail, and mail order business to the point where she was grossing over $30,000 a month.
Sounds good doesn't it, but her lack of business and financial skills led to her downfall—and bankruptcy.
But although a dark period of her life, she knew that she lacked the knowledge to prevent this happening, so studied everything she could to ensure it would happen again
She set out on the path of learning everything she could about business and financial management.
This knowledge allowed her to flourish as an entrepreneur while sharing what she had learned with others.
But there is so much more to her story, than we can cover in a short introduction like this.
So how did she create this online success, when quite openly admitting that she didn't have the knowledge to be a business success?
And where does she see the common issues that others encounter as they start there entrepreneurial leaps?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Joan Sotkin.
Thu, 25 December 2014
Todays guest is a lady who from her home in Ellensburg, Washington, is driving the wannabe entrepreneurs and the ones who have already taken the leap to greatness.
She will help us find our paths, focus in on our perfect avatars, and create businesses that are perfect for ourselves.
She knows what to do and can share the gold, to ease the way for others.
But don’t think for a moment that this show is about a lady who was born to do the right things at the right time.
This is a lady who has hustled her way to success, by taking on many roles, seemingly unrelated to do the thing she loves.
She has been a proper cowgirl working on a ranch, been a seller of sex toys (don’t put those on your Xmas lists Kids), started her own cleaning company, even though she hates cleaning, and taught Irish Dancing to children.
The whole vibe is perfect for a show like Join Up Dots, where you look at the list and the only thing you can think from the outsiders view is “Well I guess no experience is wasted”
As she says on her business site “I don’t believe in jumping out of an airplane that works and any water meant for swimming or soaking should be at least 90 degrees. Past that I’m open to trying pretty much anything. This has filled my life with some pretty amazing experiences and I’ve met some incredible people. I feel blessed everyday for everything I have and even for the bumps in the road – I believe those have big lessons for us.”
Well I also believe in not jumping out of an airplane, so we have got something in common already.
But how does this business lady find something in all these seemingly unconnected roles that have lit the fuel for greatness.
And if she could go back to one of these roles, leaving the position where she is today, would she?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start Joining Up Dots with the one and only Tara Truax

Todays guest is a man who kindly had me on his amazing show “The Business Of Marriage” back in November 2014, and such a good time we had, well I just had to reciprocate to bring him on my own.
He is a man who has so many things going on his life that quite simply he could be classed a man married to his job, but actually his job is to bring work and marriage together.
He looks for the happy point where he can work hard, enjoy himself, but also keep his marriage to his beloved wife Shannon ticking along better than most.
And instead of keeping this secret to himself, and feeling content that he has managed to do something that so many people struggle with he helps others to do the same.
Since January 2006, he has coached mentored and supported individuals and companies across America to work harder than they thought possible to reconnect, communicate at a deeper level, and support their other halves.
And when it comes to the entrepreneurs of the world, who quite often focus more on their business to create the income that they want than spending quality time with their special ones.
As he says “The fastest way to increase your financial income in your business and your emotional income in your personal life is by strengthening your relationship capitol. “
So did he ever go in an opposing direction to where he is now, and fall into the trap that brings so many couples to their knees.
And what is the key mistakes that people make when they start to build a new life for themselves?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots the one and only Mr Dino Watt.
Tue, 23 December 2014
Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a lady with a fascinating but harrowing tale that could affect most of us during our lives.
She is a lady who has been forced to deal with an illness that is unseen, hard to diagnose for the majority of people, not least the patient, and one that can bring a family to their knees …..Mental Illness.
When our guest was a young lady at high school, she watched her mother’s dreams disintegrate around her, and unable to cope with the disappointment, her Mother picked up the bottle and descended into alcoholism, whilst she descended into her first bout with depression.
I suppose that is acceptable, and a perfectly reasonable response to seeing a love one in such distress and unable to reach out and help them as much as you would like.
However these feelings got worse and worse, until a few years later things got so bad that she couldn’t see a future and attempted suicide.
Fortunately, it didn’t work, and no matter how hard she battled to get her life back together, but attending and then dropping out of University, it was a battle that looked like she wasn’t going to win.
It wasn’t until after she married her husband Wade, that her problems escalated to a point where she stopped going out, stopped eating, started throwing out the groceries, and stopped showering.
Danger seemed to lurk everywhere and strangers in the shadows seemed to pose a threat.
Her husband did everything he could to prevent potential break-ins and to ease her fears.
She says in her own words “At that time I didn’t know I was sick. It is a scary thought that I was so sick but I was completely unaware. “
Now as a speaker, author and owner of her own company bringing to the fore the subject of Mental Illness and Recovery, she is a lady on a mission.
And a mission that many fail to grasp they are in need of until hearing her powerful story first hand.
So how did she find a path that is so inspiring, from a position of total despair.
And, did she find the writing of her book Being Mentally Healthy (in spite of a mental iIlness) a challenge or a cathartic experience?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Elizabeth Anderson.
Mon, 22 December 2014
Todays guest is a man who when it comes to building cash flow and attracting wealth into your life is at the top of his game and has been for over 40 years.
Many people who are experienced with growth techniques will focus in one demographic: individuals, small business, organisations and job done.
What makes our guest sought after to spread his message on TV and Radio across the globe, is that he has been able to change the monetary positions of all those groups and more.
He has the ability to change mind-set, encourage people to believe that they can make money and most importantly enjoy themselves whilst doing it.
He has since 1977 written over 18 books including Business books, manuals and audio programs, include ‘Debt Free with Financial Kung Fu’, ‘Talk & Grow Rich’, ‘Turbo Success’, The Eureka! Enigma and ‘Escape From Where I Am’,
But how has he escaped from where he was, and how has he balanced his love of making money with his love of spending money on the things that light him up inside, such as his passion for fast cars, motorcycles and speedboats.
Even going as far as attempting to smash the motorbike land speed world record back in 2009, which stood at 360mph.
Yep on his super fast motorbike he set out to go over 400mph and become the worlds fastest man on a bike.
This is going to be a fascinating discussion about belief, courage, persistence and I’m sure more than a bit of luck
But where did he come from? Where did life begin for this passionate and inspirational Britain?
And has he seen a trait that holds most people back from belief in a world of financial abundance and enjoyment?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Ron G Holland

Todays guest entrepreneur is a lady who is inspired to take bold action everyday to inspire everyone that she meets, to want to take action too.
Do the scary things that hold us back from greatness?
Find the freedom to challenge the status quo, and find better ways to live for not just yourself, but the communities around you?
Accept diversity as the magic that makes this planet the wonderful and fascinating place that we live.

Todays guest is a man who has been looking at what makes high performing teams in the corporate world for over 25 years.
Is it the leaders that bring everything together, or is it just the combined sum of all the parts that make a team that hums like a well tuned engine?
Can we build teams that go off like a rocket from the start, or is it a slowly, slowly approach that builds the effectiveness that companies are looking for the world over?
Well through his on hands study through working for Transworld Systems for nearly 30 years he has built up ideas of the right way to go about it, which he has presented to the world in his well received books "Full Contact Leadership" and ""What Exceptional Leaders Know" co-authored with Tracy Spears.
The books are littered with practical advice and real life examples of the way to go to be seen as a leader that people will want to work for.
So did he start his studies into leadership early, or did he like many of us realise that certain people he was working under were simply not up to the job?
And can he see a change in the way that leadership is seen and taught now compared to when he started his career back in the mid eighties?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Wally Schmader.

It is super to have todays guest on the inspirational Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots podcast show, as he is quite simply the nearest to a real life superman that I have ever spoken to.
He is a man on a mission, and it is a mission that will take him around the world and inspire the world at the same time.
Starting in April 2015 and finishing in January 2020, he is going to try to complete a record-breaking 7 Continents Round the World Cycle ride, whilst wearing a superman costume?
You can only imagine how sore parts of his body are going to be on this epic adventure!
Starting his career as a teacher, he always had the motivation to jump onto his bike and see the world. Never content to just relax and go with the flow.
His cycling adventures actually started way back in 2011, when he cycled 4,000km from his home in Tooting to Turkey, raising over £5,000 for charity but this was literally just a "Hey honey I'm just going for a ride on the bike for awhile!" kind of trip in comparison.
Now he is working his way up to the kind of fitness, to tackle head on this amazing trip and on the way aim to raise £100,000 towards the World Cancer Research Fund and Parkinson’s UK.
But like so many inspiring tales of achievement and extreme effort that we hear on Join Up Dots, more often than not its the smaller ripples that make for lasting change in the world.
Our guest teaches year one children at Brandlehow Primary School in Putney, and is also the Healthy Schools Coordinator for his school.
He said: “I’ve got my own super cycling club that I run after school. And its great to see the kids get excited about cycling; one girl said that she wants to cycle to Egypt when she’s older so I’m hoping to inspire them to go on their own adventure.”
I'm sure he is going to do just that too.
So what is it about cycling freedom that so appeals, as it is renown as being one of the hardest form of long distance endurance?
And how has he managed to get so much time away from school, he can't go with the "Oh its a teacher training day" after all?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the Super cycling man himself, Mr Will Hodson.

Todays guest is a lady who has huge motivation to try to battle the many obstacles in her life to become who she is today.
As a child she was diagnosed with heart disease, and then later in her twenties discovered that she was suffering from ulcers too.
But as we find time and time again on Join Up Dots, the things that life throws at us more often than not are the clues to how we should be living in our later years.
The ability to overcome these things is the practice we need to then help others find the same solutions to their own personal issues.
Which our guest has done, and now shares her knowledge of the best stress management practices through her books and her keynote presentations.
Work hard, but work even harder at keeping yourself in peak fitness.
She swims at least a mile day...including a solid half mile of butterflies, and has run several marathons over the years too.
Mind and body coming together to propel us all on to great success.
But this focus is just one aspect of her that has taken her to the top.
As with an interest in languages, a passion in travel, and a keen interest in the cultural differences that make up the globes different approaches to management, she has pulled together an impressive body of work which is sought after throughout America and the world
She is an entrepreneur, author, award-winning photographer, classical pianist, Mandarin speaking business lady and of course an active swimmer?
But where did she start to feel the motivation that her path had started to come together in the direction that she wanted?
And does she feel that her health issues as I mentioned were a key part to becoming who she is today?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only entrepreneur Dr Janelle Barlow.

Todays guest solopreneur joining us on the Steve Jobs inspired career podcast interview, is a lady who as soon as I heard about her daily hustle and drive to achieve a dream not just for herself, but for eight complete strangers then I knew I had to have her on the show.
She is the creator of the My Million To One programme whereby she is on a mission to raise one million pounds to provide housing for eight disabled children that she first met when volunteering in Africa.
She was asked to help whilst volunteering in the area and quickly approached a couple of local charities who agreed to help by adopting the children and providing them a home on the proviso that she found money every year to pay for the children’s home.
Well throw into the mix money for all their needs, education and rehabilitation costs – and guarantee that the money would be provided for their lifetimes then it seems daunting to say the least..
So… she challenged herself to raise £1million – enough to build the orphanage itself and then enough money to sit in a bank, so the centre can survive off the interest payments.
Now that might sound easy, find a couple of phone numbers for millionaires and job done.
But our guest has gone a different route, and has aimed to find one million people who will be willing to donate £1 each.
Yep, that’s it.
I would guess that all of us listening to this show will have a lose pound in our pocket to donate to this worthwhile cause.
As she says” “Giving these kids a home for life means everything to me and I don’t see any better way to make their dream of a home come true than by making your dreams come true along the way. I think there’s something beautiful about a ‘dream swap’ where everyone wins and it’s a wholly positive experience for everyone involved. It also honours the kids too. They’re not victims… They’d like to know that they’ve helped you too and been empowered in that way.”
What an amazing thing to say!
So how did this lady come to find herself in Africa volunteering in the first place?
And has she found finding one million people harder than she imagined when she started the charity?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Alana Hurd.

Todays guest joining us on the Steve Jobs motivation packed podcast Join Up Dots is a man who can answer a lot of the bug questions that we have when building an online career.
He believes that entrepreneurship should be easier than most of us make it, which is why so many people go looking for the get rich quick scheme.
So, have you ever realized that there was a way of life on offer that meant you could link up some buttons on a webpage, target some traffic and wait for money to roll in?
I'm sure you have, but getting it to work is a totally different matter altogether.
Well todays guest is one of those men that doesn't just make it work, he can share the knowledge that he has built up since around 2004, with companies, organisations and individuals that are looking to harness the power of the worldwide web.
He started playing around with online courses, and information products at first and after a modest start to milking the cash cow, studied in earnest the practices and psychology that had made the guys he worshipped very rich indeed.
He had found his passion in life, which has continued to grow stronger after every success he has experienced.
But our guest wasn't just fascinated with the cash, but also had a deep interest gained from his father to the words of Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn and Naploean Hill. to name just three.
He bathed in the words of these men, and was fasinacted with the deep insight they all shared as to what made us tick, and do the things that we do.
Our guest knew that if he could bring together both interests into a workable, manageable platform then he would be rocking and rolling, and he could make money literally as he sleeped.
And that is what he has done, and now with his online show "The Tropical Entrepreneur" show, running alongside his online ventures, he has created a life that is location independent.
He can literally up stick from his home in Thailand and take his job with him.
But what was it about the world of online marketing that so excited him as a youngster?
And where does he feel that so many people make mistakes when they start to build a business online?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots with the one and only freedom loving expert Mr Josh Denning.

Todays guest entrepreneur joining us on the inspirational Steve jobs inspired Join Up Dots, was kind enough to have me as a guest on his amazing new online show "You Leading You" awhile back, and it was clear in the conversation that we are almost the same person.
We have such similar backgrounds, inspirations, talents, that we are almost brothers separated by a vast expanse of water called the Atlantic.
He has been a corporate guy for many years, and has worked at climbing up the ladder of career success, rung by rung, and like so many got to a position when he realised that he didn't like the climb.
He didn't like the fact that he was climbing a ladder, which at anytime could be pushed over, and leave him plummeting downwards.
So he took action, imperfect action which is always the best, and started taking control of his life.
This is a great tale of persistence, with many dots that show how he went from being homeless to an inspirational coach, speaker and host of a super popular podcast....with a heartattack being thrown into the mix too.
So how did he take the decision that was required to start building a life under his own terms?
And why did one conversation with a boss, that he didn't see eye to eye with, literally throw paraffin onto the passions that were simmering deep within him.
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only brother from another mother....Mr Sean Ackerman
To Find Out More About Sean Ackerman Go To:
Podcast: You Leading You: Conversations of Leadership and success with Business Pros, Entrepreneurs and Just Plain Folks!
Overcoming adversity has been a skill I’ve had since pre-conception. As my parents were told they would never have children, I fought my way into this world and have persevered, bringing success in whatever I put my mind to. After 30 years in business management, from small privately-owned companies to large corporate organizations, and I’ve had some amazing accomplishments. In 2011, it all came crashing down as my family and I found ourselves homeless after Hurricane Irene. Losing most everything we owned, we came back and persevered to put our lives back together. This was the catalyst for You Leading You, my mission, to share my experience and knowledge to help other leaders learn and grow. To find their own success and happiness. To lead themselves to their dreams. Today I share the message through the show, You Leading You, with insightful lessons from amazing leaders sharing their stories of success.

We all say that we want freedom to travel, but how many of us truly have the motivation to do just that?
Perhaps you wanted to travel the world, see amazing sights and experience new cultures but thought "Man what would I do with the kids?"
Well I know that I have, and I guess mentally I have set my stall out for when they all grow up and leave home, and then straight on a airplane I'll go.
But does it have to be that way?
Do you have to wait until everything seems perfect in your life, or do you just need to show a passion and a commitment to the task?
Well todays guest entrepreneur is a lady who decided in 2007 that she would visit every country on earth, and has currently visited 36 and five continents.
Planning her work carefully to allow for months of travel each year, as soon as the kids are in school, she leaves them with her beloved nanny, packs her bags and sets off alone to start conversations with total strangers, and the collection of unforgettable memories.
As she says "I am a dreamer and a doer. I am passionate about living life to the full and empowering others to do the same. I wear many hats; i am a writer, mother, entrepreneur, philanthropist and a ‘modern Marco Polo’.
And now as the 230th guest on Join Up Dots she can add interviewee to her titles too.
So without further a do, its with great delight that I bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the lady with the longest name I have ever seen, Princess Umul Hatiyya Ibrahim Mahama.

Todays guest entrepreneur joining us on the Steve Jobs inspired business podcast is a man who looks like he is having a great time earning an income, building a business and helping start-ups across the globe to become successful.
And he seems to be playing to his authentic self, which really is when things start coming together at a rate of knots too.
As he says on his blog" I ams the author of the #18 Amazon best-selling book, Design for Hackers: Reverse-Engineering Beauty.
And prior to writing Design for Hackers, I founded the Design departments at two Silicon Valley startups, and freelanced for clients such as oDesk, PBworks, and UserVoice.
I also launched numerous other careers and projects on my own, none of which failed hard enough to be worthy of mention in this bio."
But although an amusingly self-depreciating summary of his adult working-life, he has found the career success that so many people are searching for travelling the world, speaking about design and entrepreneurship, and mentoring startups, including those at 500 Startups.
And if that doesn't sound good enough he also has the ability to choose to pop down to South America for a couple of months, when it gets too cold in his home in Chicago.
Which sounds great if you can do it.
So how has he managed to find the motivation and inspiration to have the fun in a life which for so many is just hard slog?
And what it is about startups that excites him so much?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only super entrepreneur himself Mr David Kadavy

Todays guest is a lady working in the northern town of Harrogate in the UK, who is the founder of "The Career Farm", where she inspires people across the globe to not look for a career, but instead grow one.
You see career farm, growing...yep it all makes sense.
She doesn't believe that people are proactive enough in the way they go about earning a living, with the standard response to most people being the "Well it's a job isn't it" kind of response.
She feels that we should be planning our development in the same way as a farmer plans what crops they will sow for maximum yield.
We should be sowing the seeds that will help us reap bountiful rewards later on in our careers.
She started her career as a Chartered Surveyor before re-training as a career coach, but in 1999 found her entrepreneurial spirit when she founded her first company, focusing on the supply of careers services and information products to Business Schools across the UK and Europe.
But in June 2012 as her business grew more successful, her belief that there was more to offer the world, and of course more to come from herself led her to selling her stake in the company and creating the "Career Farm."
And it looks like she was right to do so, as with her well received book "If not now, when? How to take charge of your career", her top ranked podcast "Mission Driven Entrepreneurs" , and myriad of other things helping people to feel fulfilled in their careers, she is certainly busier than ever.
But when did she realise that people needed to grow their careers, and being true to herself was she always growing her own?
And where does she see the biggest challenegs facing the working population nowadays?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots, the one and only Jane Barrett

Todays guest is a man who has an amazing story from a farm in South Africa to Scotland before settling in the United Kingdom.
And it seems like so many people who appear on the show, his journey began on a path that was closely linked to family responsibilities and the childhood that he came to feel was normal.
His Father ran a sugar cane farm in South Africa, and upon passing away when our guest was just 14 lead to the first dot in our guests Join Up Dots timeline.
Should he allow the farm to be handed over to a new buyer, or run the farm himself to keep it in the family?
But was running a sugar cane farm the true passion in his life or simply the right thing to do.
Well whatever the case he made the decision to go to an agricultural college for his last three years of school as part of his preparation for farming, and after fulfilling his compulsory military duties, five years later became a farmer.
But that is just the start of his journey, and with further stops via the windy and cold city of Aberdeen in Scotland, and a tennis club in the South of England he found something that he loves doing and is very good at.
Building online businesses he has helped thousands of people increase their online profits from a few hundred to thousands of pounds a month using a number of time tested internet business models.
He is the go to resource for passive income that works whilst you are asleep.
So does he look back at his time as a sugar cane farmer as a lucky escape, or does he regret making the decision to move on?
And what is it about entrepreneurial ventures that excites him on a daily basis?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots, the one and only Mr Anthony Robert.

She has been hooked on NSA ever since.

Podcast 225: Megan Collins: The Style Girlfriend Entrepreneur Shows Us The Way To Dress For Success In Our Careers
If you are an entrepreneur, businessman or just someone who is looking to impress then todays guest is the go to lady if you are a guy who likes to look good, but hasn't got the first idea how to pull it off.
Or perhaps you are the kind of guy that has a style thing going on, but you are looking for a bit of quick inspiration instead of traipsing around the shops on a weekend.
Combining the best of fashion, food, travel and fitness, all from the perspective of a female, guys across the world have at their fingertips the perfect guide to help them have it all.
As she says "I want my readers to have it all. The swagger, the girl, the great meal, the adventure. All of it."
But although the platform is going from strength to strength, her journey started about as far as possible away from the heady world of online fashion advice as possible.
Starting her career back in 2001 in a customer relations position for Bumble and bumble a fast-growing, luxury hair care brand located in NYC, she then went into Government affairs for three years, before doing a myriad of positions that filled time more than exploded her passions.
In fact it wasn't until performing a favour to a friend by starting Style Girlfriend, did it then turn into a syndicated national newspaper column, and later as a men’s style blog, and as they say the rest is history.
So what does she think is the number one mistake that men make when throwing on something each morning?
Picking it off the floor where they left it the night before, or something far more serious?
And what is her fascination with 70's movie star Steve McQueen?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only Style girlfriend herself, Megan Collins

Todays guest is the founder and CEO of the Piper's Dojo, the number one place to go for all your bagpipe needs.
He learned the pipes at age 8 from his father, Bruce, who sent his interested son on to the great Donald Lindsay for lessons by the time he was 9.
Through Donald, our guest had the opportunity to meet and study with amazing world famous piping greats.
Though only in his early 30's, he is already known as perhaps one of the top bagpipers in North America.
But its not just playing these iconic instruments where he has come into his own as his compositions were featured on more than one World-Championship-Winning performance.
He is the author of the "Bagpipe as an Extension of your Self tutor", which has inspired countless pipers to learn and re-learn the pipes.
He has a passion for developing true expression in players, based on their own thoughts and ideas.
But what was it about these instruments that so ignited his passions as a small child, away from the standard piano and guitars that most children pick up.
And what does his neighbours think when he gets the urge to practice during the wee small hours?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mr Andrew Douglas.

Todays guest is a lady that for many years was part of the education system.
She has spent her time working as a high school library teacher in Massachusetts, before making the leap to go the entrepreneurial route.
And of course throughout that time would have seen literally hundreds of children come and go.
Some that their peer group would have said would have been destined for greatness, and others that would have been classed as a lost cause.
Others that struggled and batted to gain an education, whilst others just drifted through the system and still came out with best grades.
Is it down to the system, the kids, or the home life that brings about such different results?
Well she has a combined approach of improving how we teach people. Finding the methods that will allow children to learn difficult stuff that their brains are not just suited for.
And also helping to bring about order and calm in the home, when everyday seems exactly the same as the day before, and most of it is a whirlwind of running from one practice or rehearsal or meeting to another, with no real communication or connection among family members.
But is this not just how life is? Do we not all simply have to go through the period of having our life spiral out of control due to the requirements of our children?
And now with appearances on TV, Radio and the online word she is the go to expert to help us reclaim our lives and improve the lives of our children
So lets find out what made her step out on her own and be such a success so quickly, as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Deborah Owen

Todays guest entrepreneur. joining us on the Steve Jobs inspired business podcast is a lady with more energy, than the most energised person you can think off.
Yep, think of the person you know the most who runs, leaps, and bounds out of bed earlier than anyone, and they will look like a couch potato compared to this lady.
In the last few years she has completed the 3 Peaks Challenge, Adventure racing in Borneo, Cycled London to Paris in 24 hours, Cycled London to Amsterdam in 48 hours, Completed The 3 Peaks Cycle Challenge (cycling 430 miles and climbing the 3 highest peaks in the UK) in 3 days, Learnt how to become an alpine mountaineer, Climbed Mont Blanc
And that is just some of the things that has challenged and pushed her onwards to greater and greater successes in her life.
The different careers that she has built has led to a lifestyle a freedom and success.
I got tired just reading the list out.
But like most of us that end up doing amazing things, her life going into the adult working life was anything but remarkable.
During college she performed many various tasks within an office environment and due to her boundless enthusiasm and passions for the tasks, moved through the ranks quickly impressing everyone that she met, wherever she worked.
Focusing her talents on culture building, start-ups, marketing and being the best that she can be, she thrived in the corporate world.
But it was when she moved away from the world of the grey suits, that she has expanded her impressive resume of doing the things least expected and doing them better than most
As she says "I believe that it is through challenging ourselves that we stretch our limits, break down barriers and realise we can achieve far more than we think. We raise the bar of what we expect from ourselves, develop confidence, resilience and drive and go out to achieve more across all areas of life. This is what has happened to me and I’m on a mission to give you the inspiration and tools to be the very best you can be and get the most out of your life."
So how did she manage to overcome the fears that hold so many of us back as we look to having rich and fulfilling experiences in our lives?
And how has she managed to become so supremely fit, in so many different areas, and still keep on having the passion for more?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only fitness entrepreneur Sophie Radcliffe.

Todays guest is a man who in many ways is on a similar path as myself, he wants to change the world of the baby boomers.
He wants to inspire the world to learn from the struggles and success of others, and take control of their own lives.
Do things that they love and lead a spectacular life.
As he says "I found it difficult to live a spectacular life while working for someone else. For the better part of 20 years, I worked in the hedge fund industry and wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. I met some great people who remain friends to this day, and I met some really smart people. The problem was that I was helping build someone else’s dream (as the saying goes, if you’re not building your dream, someone else will happily hire you to help build theirs)."
And that is a huge problem, which for many never occurs but also for many causes them to struggle their way to a future that this 100% theirs. No boss. No time restraints. But their own dream existence.
In looking at ways to create his spectacular life, he noticed a lot of people (often in their 20’s and 30’s) living the kind of life he wanted to live.
A common factor seemed to be they engaged in some form of online commerce by selling a product, service or information.
So he began investigating ways he could build an online business while continuing to work in the hedge fund industry.
And in a matter of a few years, he transitioned from working for someone else to creating strong online presences for his various business ventures.
He quickly learned what a powerful tool an online business can be in creating a spectacular life.
And now with his top ranked podcast, coaching programmes, webinars and eagerness to help everyone that he comes into contact with, he is well on his way.
But what ws it about his experienced in corporate that he wouldn't trade for anything?
And where is his dream now, as everything he has been working towards starts coming together to give home the spectacular life?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only Charlie Poznek

Todays guest, joining us on the Join Up Dots podcast interview, is Brandee Sweesy, a lady who is the perfect one to hangout with...and although you maybe thinking that would be in a bar or pub, she likes to do it via Google.
To be honest she might like bars and pubs too, but her expertise in Google Hangouts is taking her to the top and becoming the go to lady to find out how to make the most of this resource.
Starting her career down in the heart of the Florida Keys at Marathon, Brandee Sweesy worked at the Jet Center creating contracts for pilots to use the facilities.
And this is one of those brilliant Join Up Dots stories as her career seems almost random as she moved towards where she is today.
But we see it time and time again, that its the myriad of experiences that help someone find their path in life and get to the top.
And with a history encompassing real estate, Marketing, Public Relations, training and Event Planning she learnt the skills to go it alone and become an entrepreneur through all those roles.
And when she did create her own company teaching the world about Google Hangouts, well Brandee Sweesy has never looked back.
But did she always have the outgoing and passionate personality that made her such a natural in front of the cameras, or did she start to realise her passion when working as a trainer for Fred Pryor Seminars?
And what was it about Google Hangouts that made her say "This is it....this is where my future lies?"
Well let’s bring onto the show to start joining up dots, as we discuss the words of Steve Jobs with the one and only Brandee Sweesy

Todays guest, joining us on the Join Up Dots Free podcast interview, is Michelle DeSpain, a remarkable lady who over the last few years has been on quite a journey.
As she mentions a few times on her blog The LateBloomerRevolution it would make a pretty good rom- com chick flick.
She was in a rut. Her life was not really going anywhere, and one day bled into another. And one month lead into a year.
It was the kind of existence that so many of us allow to happen.
We have dreams as kids. We have passions as young adults. But hit the real world as adults, when we should be able to grasp the fact that dreams are good and its up to us to take action and we lose all sense of it.
We slip into a weird kind of daydreaming state.
Her biggest dreams – becoming a critically-acclaimed actress and a best-selling author – had been abandoned for more “realistic” endeavours.
And Mr. Right was a no-show too.
Then the big 40 hit, and she assessed her life and realised that she had to start creating the perfect ending to her movie.
She started doing things her way.
She created the Diary of a Late Bloomer and stretched herself, to launch a 365 day project within the blog called “The Year of Living Curiously”.
Each day for a year, she lived one curious and soul-scinitillating mini-adventure and blogged about it.
She had started to direct the ending of the film the way that she wanted it to look, and she hasn't looked back since
So what was it about hitting 40 that made such amazing difference to her outlook?
And would she now wish that she had got going and shifted into gear alot earlier?
Well let’s bring onto the show to start joining up dots, as we discuss the words of Steve Jobs in todays Free podcast, with the one and only Michelle DeSpain

Todays guest joining us on the Join Up Dots free podcast interview is Mr Matt Hamm, the author of the book “Redefine Rich A New Perspective On The Good Life”, who believes that we really need to look at what path we are on to achieve our goals.
Are we looking to earn a million pounds per month, and suffer burn out, anguish, failure of our relationships and other similar issues.
Or do we take a close look at the true riches that we in the main ignore: Good health, happiness, rewarding relationships, Security, and spending more quality time with the ones that we love.
Is there a deeper, more complex meaning of this commonly misused word; rich?
Well our guest was certainly on the standard corporate path, starting as an insurance agent with Farm Bureau Insurance in 2008 and was recognized as a “Top Rookie Agent” in 2009, and has consistently been recognized as “Best of the Best”, earning the designation as “Honor Agent” in 2013; an award given to the top three agents in his state of North Carolina.
He currently manages over 800 clients and nearly $3 million dollars in insurance premium, and with his three boys and wife Liz, alongside the writing, presenting, training for Ironman competitions and inspiring everyone who comes in contact with him, how does he define his own wealth?
Well as he says in his own words “After chasing the world’s version of richness in my own life, I found myself empty. Life was good, but then again, it wasn’t.”
So is he someone who talks the talk, but actually is on the conveyor belt like the rest of us?
Or does he have ways of operating that can give him everything that he wasn’t in life, when its right for him?

Todays guest on the show is a lady who is an author, speaker, passionate trainer and philanthropist and believes that the way to a flourishing business is by working as hard as she can on the relationship building side of things.
And believe me she really works hard on the bit that so many people forget about nowadays the offline personal touch, writing anywhere from 1000 to 2000 personal notes a year.
If you have a great relationship with people, not only will they trust you, but they will tell their friends about you too seems to be the order of the day..
She has been in the promotions industry since 2000, going on to establish her own company in 2002 when she realized that there was a definite gap in the industry.
She didn't see that the training that was being provided to companies across America was achieving the results that she would have expected.
She called it “hit and run mentality” training and knew when she published the bestselling book Relationship ROI that she had to teach companies to make the most of what they already had.
Sure go looking for new sales leads, but for god sake do everything you can with the customers you already have.
Nurture the relationship, build the trust, and make sure that they don't want to go anywhere else
But can you take these same strategies into your personal lives, and build better and stronger relationships with partners, friends and colleagues?
Can you look at gaining ROI in whatever field you focus your energies in?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only Nikki Pett

Todays guest is a lady who has a journey to where she is today that could be turned into a movie.
She first arrived in the United States from Slovenia not with a dream to make it on the corporate ladder, and rise to the top of the business world.
Instead she was recruited by an NCAA Division I basketball coach to bring her vast knowledge of basketball to the states, and so she left her home town of only 10,000 and landed in New York
Well that for many people would have been scary enough, but just imagine doing the same thing when you can't really speak the language of the country you were aiming to flourish in.
Well this didn't stop her at all, and in one season she led her team to one regular season title, first WNIT appearance and a conference championship game. Wow!!
And now she has taken that attitude of becoming a champion, and moved into the world of business where she helps other business owners realize their business goals and guide them to success as a virtual business manager and business consultant.
Her life has run the gamut of both setbacks and successes.
She has had the highs of winning streaks, the lows of unemployment.
She has struggled to build a business and succeeded in creating one that is not only thriving but has helped other achieve their business goals.
And now with her book "BOLD! Helping YOU Unleash The Hero Within” she is helping the world to become a champion and all become heros.
But how did she first get found in Slovenia with the job offer from the states?
And did she have the same self-doubts that stop so many of us from trying something new?
Well let's find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots, with the one and only Sara Speicher.
