Entrepreneur Success Stories By Join Up Dots, Motivation, Leadership, & Business Coaching To Start Your Online Careers

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who seems to me was certainly born with the entrepreneurial genes.

Starting his first business at age 11, (even hiring his parents for logistics support), over the last quarter century he’s started and owned more than 30 different companies including an insurance agency, precious metals firms, a venture capital company, a coaching and consulting firm, and more than a dozen real estate investment and development companies.

He’s also the founder of Yokido ™, his own martial arts and holds 3 other black belts.

But it hasn’t all been plain sailing in his life, as by age 27  he became a millionaire, and then lost everything (including his Ferrari, girlfriend, and even his dog) before going again in a new direction.

But it seems to me that at his core he is a man who believes in personal control, and having the ability to show the world how we can free ourselves from the control that money worries have over our lives.

By learning the ways to simplify investments, and taking the mystery out how to make money work for us, we will all have a better standard of living, life and health too.

The life that most of us would say was the dream.

Today, he resides in Austin Texas and is the Founder and CEO of Total Control Financial, a company who are obsessed with Disrupting Wall Street & Empowering Main Street, and as we said showing the world the promised land.

So the big questions are, did he need to lose everything to be able to gain the clarity of financial knowledge that he now has?

And what is the number one mistake that people make when attempting to gain financial freedom

Well let’s find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Damion Lupo.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who is nothing but decisive when she knows what she wants in life. Starting her career back in 1999 she performed the role of Finance Director for one of the top 15 Opera companies in the US for ten years, until in 2009 the company closed due to financial difficulties. And I guess we will find out on the show if she would have stayed in the position if this hadn’t occurred but the fact is it did As she says “After leaving the corporate world to stay home with my young children, I began writing and performing my own songs. I toured as a singer/songwriter for 9 years, releasd 3 CDs and won several songwriting awards. I even had the honour of singing “The National Anthem” at Dodger Stadium. I then began coupling the inspirational message of my songs with a testimony-based speaking topic called “You Are My Vision”, a program I have presented for churches and community groups for the last 8 years.” But how do you take these values and skills and turn them into an income production line, as this is the problem that most entrepreneurs encounter on their journey to success. Well todays guest has drawn on her extensive experience of the music industry to create online courses to help musicians learn how to make a living from their music. Her most popular offering is an online training and mentoring community exclusively for female musicians called the “Female Musician Academy“. And not only that she is the host of two top ranked podcasts bringing her passions to an even wider audience. So has she planned all these goings on or are they as much a suprise to her when she looks around her of what she has going on? And does she now have the belief that she could have done all this a lot quicker, or did it naturally have to fall into place? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Bree Noble

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is an a man who Entrepreneur Magazine states, “This guy is the #1 author and world’s most-quoted consultant on Google Advertising. He has helped over 100,000 advertisers save literally billions of dollars in AdWords stupidity tax.” He is an author, speaker, engineer and world-renowned business consultant in Chicago. And now with a decade of research, he brings a fresh perspective to the 150-year old evolution debate…..he brings about a very different view to what Darwin would have classed as fact. How has he done this? How has he managed to dissect what the world has believed is fact? Well in the same way as Bill Gates of Microsoft and the founders of Google revolutionized software and the Internet through their status as outsiders. Similarly, our guest harnesses a communication engineer’s outsider’s perspective to reveal a century of unrecognized research and discoveries. But this is just one part of what has brought him onto Join Up Dots, so who knows where today’s conversation will go? So what made him start looking into the works of Charles Darwin, when the world has debated it openly for decades? And does he now have his eyes on other areas of science and fact? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Perry Marshall.

Today’s guest joining us on the Join Up Dots Podcast interview, is a man who since 2001 has had a fascination with coding and technology…..Mr Bobby Gill. Starting work as a QA Engineer for a company, which he quite readily admits that “I cant find the right words that could do any justice to my time here. 5 – 10 lines of blank text should more than suffice.” he moved steadily though a series of positions that filled his days with programming, and more than a bit of messing around. One company paid him, whilst Bobby joined a gang of eager programmers and developers to work on a slime basketball game….ok they didn’t know they were paying him to do this, but hey more fool them, they should have managed a little bit closer I think. But when Microsoft took a chance on him, then things started getting serious, and he realised that the time of playing was coming to an end. Whizz forward a few years, and Bobby Gill is now the founder of Blue Label Labs, a New York based mobile design and development lab for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. So how has he done this? How did he take the leap of faith that allowed him to leave the corporate environment as an employee, and build his own business (one not focused on slime basketball I can only imagine) Well let’s bring onto the show to start joining up dots, as we discuss the words of Steve Jobs with the one and only Bobby Gill.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who has has a fascinating journey to where he is today. He is the co-creator of MOTIVATE International (formerly MOTIVATE Shanghai) which is a meeting place for personal and professional development in one of the worlds biggest cities (28million+ people). This was one of the first, if not the first centres to bring personal development to the mainstream public However, although it seems he has found his place this is quite a distance from where he first started. Starting his career in the Australian military he served seven years for the Army, working his way up the ranks before landing in Afghanistan for a final tour of duty. And as we see from so many entrepreneurs who have joined up their dots on the show, the military gives an amazing grounding in productivity, organization and routine which if learnt in the right way can then be taken into civilian life in spectacular fashion. And that certainly seems to be the case with todays guest as he says "A couple of years ago. Chiang Mai, North Thailand became my second home. I was living a Super Healthy lifestyle in every way. Following my passion for Martial Arts with Thai Kickboxing, Cooking Thai food twice a day, Learning Massage and speaking the basics of Thai Language. Money was not an issue. 1 hour of work a week made more Passive Income than my friends were making back in Australia and this was during a Global Financial Crisis. To be honest, I can teach you how to do it financially like I did BUT it won’t work for you. You need a system that suits you. One that suits your Personality Style, and fulfills your deeper core needs. You need to have your head in the right place and you need to believe." Which is the bridge that so many people struggle to cross. Its ok to want these things, but how do you get started and truly believe that they are waiting for you. So how did he find the path that was right for him, and then take that path to another financially viable one? And why did he take this financial freedom and then create MOTIVATE? Was it more for himself or the people that he felt he could help? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Adrian Cahill

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who has aligned his passions, his dreams and his talents in the world of give, give, give.

But it wasn't always the case.

For many years he operated in a way that was certainly not born out of his strengths, but was due to his work effort and ability to see opportunities and go for them.

As he says "I spent most of my life wearing masks pretending to be important to hide my own deeper insecurities. Despite building multi million dollar businesses, becoming a best selling author and buying real estate in 7 different countries, I felt an emptiness."

You see all the time he was walking a path that  was not his own.

He was doing what seemed right everyday to build income, status and prestige, but the happiness tank was running on empty.

All the time he was ignoring his own internal guidance system that he suppressed while focusing on goals and in turn, the right mindset to achieve them.

He know believes our obsession with the right mindset is leading people to create and live unauthentic lives while the very nature of goals actually pushes us to live in the future and not be present.

To prove that point he has traveled the world speaking about the importance of overcoming personal obstacles, gaining clarity, and cultivating the confidence to believe in yourself, and has shared the stage with esteemed speakers such as Steven Covey, Richard Branson, and the Dalai Lama.

He has worked with people from Olympic athletes, TV personalities, entrepreneurs, housewives to billionaires who have gone bankrupt, and everything in between.

So this is a guy who reached the top and had to stop, and thats what was bothering him.

He needed to reconnect to the bare necessities of  life and has done this in spectacular fashion ever since.

So was there a moment when he knew that he had gone wrong in life, or was it just a creeping realisation that he should have gone left instead of right?

And if you are working on a path after giving and happiness, can you actually start to take it for granted and lose track of what you wanted to achieve again and again?

Entrepreneur podcast interview dont come better than this. Todays expert has built a business they love and career success that is a wow. Discover how you can also be a top entrepreneur in todays motivation packed episode. When I was a young man, I’m sure that I would have died and gone to heaven if I could have had a sexy boss come into my office. I may not have got a lot of work done, but still it would have been a nice to have. So imagine my delight that I get to invite a lady onto today’s episode of Join Up Dots, who is the Author of…Sexy Boss Inc Manifesto: Transform From Broke, Frustrated and Bored to Living Fearless, Fulfilled and Financially Free, and also The Game of Dating: Just for Men. “The Ultimate Secrets on How to Date Your Dream Woman Today” Buy it Now. But these movements that she has created with her publications isn’t about the old bumping and grinding. Its about taking control of your life and going for it As she says “Let’s Get One Thing Clear…. Girl, you are sexy. Damn sexy, in fact! But being sexy is NOT just about looks, or about sex, for that matter. At the highest level, being sexy is about getting off your butt, stopping the whining and excuses and reclaiming your God-given power.” And she is certainly doing that, with her business going from strength to strength. As a serial entrepreneur she is regarded as a top authority on internet marketing, business strategies and marketing, and since 2006 she started, developed and grew an online information marketing publishing company from ground zero to over $1 million in sales in less than 12 months. My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who believes one hundred percent in the words of Joseph Campbell (Follow your bliss and the Universe will open doors, where there were only walls.)

But for many years her thoughts were driven by expectations far from remarkable,

She was solid, dependable and in a career which was nothing more than traditional.

As she says “I became a senior high school science teacher, driven by my passion for teaching about health and the human body. I loved and excelled in my work, and thought I would retire from this position in my elderly years. However, after a deeply transformative and unexpected personal and spiritual awakening that began in 2006, I ended up resigning from my teaching position and officially retiring in 2009.

Having just come out of my 20s, and driven to never have a “job” or work in any traditional setting again. I wanted to be responsible for my own destiny and was not interested in conforming to the cookie-cutter standards and expectations set out by society. And so despite everyone’s objections to me leaving a secure job that I loved, I was driven by the voice within that was hard to ignore if I was going to be true to myself and live in alignment with my passions and values.”

And so with no great plan, but hustle, passion and the ability to open doors that even the universe couldn’t, she is now the creator of the Healthytarian lifestyle, based on fresh thinking, smart eating and mindful living to empower individuals who wish to take a deeply holistic approach to their wellness.

She has also created video shows on her two web channel networks EBTV and Healthytarian, that feature her own teaching and other guest experts to inspire, empower and motivate people into positive action.

So when she decided to walk out of her career did she have any idea that this was the direction that she would go for?

And although going great now, was there a time when she might have been persuaded to go back into full-time employment?

You don't. So my question is what books would you recommend everyone reading if they get the chance ? - Jo Barnes, London 2: What has been the biggest difficulty to you as you have grown your business. I am thinking of starting my own business and any advice you can give will be greatly accepted. - Daniel Barkinside, South Africa 3. Hi David, thanks for a simply brilliant podcast. Its amazing how you can make me laugh, cry and scribble notes all at the same time. I was listening to a few of your shows, whilst on a long journey through Europe, and I wondered. What do you do when you are not involved in your business - Katarina Eastas - Poland 4: Good afternoon David and the Join Up Dots team, thank you for an inspiring and educational show. I am thinking of starting my own show and would like to know, how you decide on which questions you are going to ask your guests. I find this very hard indeed, and struggle to write more than five. Do you have any suggestions...thank you for your time. - John Milnard, Texas 5: I think I have a problem, which might need your help. I keep on repeating the same mistakes every-time when I start what I hope will be a life changing business. I put all my efforts into website design, content production, email list building for about six months and then let it fade away. I cant keep the motivation up to build anything worthwhile. Do you have any tips on how to remain focused. I know things do not occur overnight, but I also know that I am not ever going to get anywhere if I follow the same trend. My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is the author of the newly published book The Gifted Storyteller which tells the story of Michael. A man who followed "the plan" and did everything he was supposed to for life to be successful; great job, money, dates, yet despite it all, everything wasn’t the dream he expected. One night after work, he meets a beautiful and mysterious woman named Jeannie, who introduces him to the Gifted Storyteller, and changes his life forever. Now the question we will need to ask is how much of Michael is fictional and how much is autobiorphicall? As it seems to me that todays guest has trodden a similar path in many ways. As certainly im sure that seeing how his life is changing so amazingly in front of him, he may well feel that he could have taken more risk earlier in his life. Allowing him to experience growth in mindset, confidence and the ability to create the life of his dreams. He works in the field of education, with over 20 years experience as a teacher and Principal in NYC. Where he has received numerous awards and accolades as a leader in his field, and utilizing his degree in Psychology from StonyBrook University and certification in Strategic Intervention in coaching, his focus is on helping people see empowering meaning in the present moment and seize the opportunity to create lasting change for themselves and others. So looking back at what he has achieved and what he is working towards, does he feel that it is simply a case of getting going, or a lot more than that? And where does he see his attention turning to now, more books or something quite different? Digital Marketing King Tim Cameron-Kitchen From Exposure-Ninja shares his amazing story to creating digital marketing success

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who quite simple should be loving his life.

He is a creative at heart and has found his way to online success with several businesses.

Leaving the University Of Southampton in 2007 with a bachelor of arts in Music you can see quite clearly how the dots have joined up.

As he says “I decided to make a go of professional drumming. I spent a couple of years developing something called Online Session Drumming, where I’d record for bands and musicians around the world from my home studio. To do this, I had to learn to market myself effectively by building websites, getting to the top of Google, and learning how to advertise. I wrote a book introducing this way of recording which got extensive coverage in the drumming press, filmed 19 DVDs, ran 2 newsletters and membership clubs, and the method went on to become a way of life for hundreds of musicians around the world.

It turned out that I quite enjoyed the advertising and websites bit of the job, even when I got bored of the drumming. My next door neighbour at the time was a plasterer in need of extra work so I built him a website. The effect this website had on him spurred me to start JobDoneWebsites, which went on to become the UK’s leading tradesman-only marketing company.”

You see our guest was willing to put himself into environments where he was required to do serious upskilling on every turn. He didn’t have the answers but was willing to that extra mile to make those answers himself.

And upon developing those skills, he was actually building the foundations to what he has achieved today.

Presently he is the head ninja at Exposure Ninja an online marketing company that has grown to 35 Ninjas in less than 3 years.

An expansion which has been exhilarating/tiring/fun/inspiring/hard work.

The results he gets for his clients are he says are “Sick, and we’re hungry and passionate to help more dominate in competitive markets online.”

So is this the business that will be his legacy work, or just the start of other ventures?

And what was it about the entrepreneurial life that so appealed against going the normal route and entering the corporate world?

Well let’s find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Tim Cameron-Kitchen

Todays guest, joining us on the Join Up Dots free podcast interview is Ani Alexander, someone that I am proud to say has become one of my closest friends in the world. I have never met her, don’t know too much about her personal life, but can honestly say she has become one of the people that has helped me so much as Join Up Dots keeps on growing. She has a fascinating story, which starts by being born in a country that now is no longer there, the soviet union, and as teenager loved to write. In her heart she believes that everyone has a story to tell, and would like nothing more than putting pen to paper and getting creative as a child. But as we see time and time again, the thing that we liked as kids somehow got forgotten as we grow into adulthood. And instead of thinking “Lets make a career out of something that I love doing”…which of course is the sensible thing to do, she instead went into the corporate world. And joined the masses. Yes, for the next twelve years Ani Alexander followed a path that left her with a paycheck every month, but nothing more. She was lost and definitely feeling uninspired. So she took the leap of faith and went for it on her own And now with her business flourishing, her network of aspiring authors flocking to help her get them in the bestsellers list, life is getting better everyday. She is also the author of three books “Emotional Moments”, “Dream Down” and “Highfall” But if this sounds like an easy transition then think again. I know her well, and I know the hustle and work ethic that it is taking to get to the point she wants to be. She is climbing up the ladder of success everyday, one rung at a time even when exhausted, even when she was unsure she could climb any higher? So how does she keep herself going when sometimes the world seems against her? And why did she feel along with everything else on her plate, she would go and conquer the world by recording the Write 2 b Read podcasts in English, not her natural tongue. Well lets find out as we bring on to the show to start joining up dots the one and only Ani Alexander

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lawyer and the host of the podcast How I Broke Into, a show all about the big breaks of successful entrepreneurs and artists. His creative career began before attending Northwestern University, when he attended the Long Island High School for the Arts (then known as The Cultural Arts Center of Long Island) as a visual artist. His 4x5 acrylic on canvas “20th Century Icon” was featured in the Sabbeth Art Gallery and a juried competition before he graduated high school. So I guess it was little surprise that he took his passion for visual creativity and founded 2 Life! Films and Media, an award-winning independent film and internet production company which produced his comedy feature “Returning Mickey Stern.” that won numerous awards in the US and Abroad But what is a suprise is why he then transitioned from being the content creator into the law industry, by working for an entertainment law firm, the performing rights society ASCAP, and the distribution company New Video Group This stage of his life appears on the outside to go totally against type, but we may find out on the show that actually it is one of the main dots on the Join Up Dots timeline. He just released the book, The Gasp: How to Seize that A-Ha! Moment and Turn It Into a Winning Business, and what with his business, podcast and Im sure a brain that runs wild with ideas he is a man spinnning many different plates at once. So why did he go into Law instead of continuing in the film production arena which played to so many of his early passions? And where does he see his life going in the future? Into a world of books or a life on the silver screen? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Michael Prywes

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who I have wanted to have on the show for quite a while, as he is becoming more and more successful on his own terms. Back in the day he took a huge leap of faith as he was graduating from Babson College. Most people will accept the first offer that comes their way after their studies finish, but our guest did something quite different. He turned down a six figure offer from Wall Street and moved into his parent's basement to start his company instead. As he says"Everyone was telling me to take the job, bankroll some money and then start the business. But I realized kicking that can down the road was dangerous. If I didn't start the business then it would become increasing less likely in the future." And he did that with the creation of VideOblocks, a company that stores video clips for people to use to make their own video production more professional and well appealing to the viewers. In the first year VideoBlocks got their footage revenue up to a million dollars, which was the goal. hen then hired his first employee and realized this could be real. And in 2010 everything started moving quickly. Revenues grew from $1 million to $2 million to $4 million – within two years. But he was in deep with the day to day running of the company, and so decided on a very different path to the majority of CEO's that we have had on Join Up Dots. He now travels around in an RV, experiencing America and the world, whilst allowing his brain to bring the growth building ideas to the fore. He has separated himself from the details, and now operates on a higher level by relaxing and enjoying his life which has allowed his business and its profits to increase exponentially. And that is where we will start todays episode of Join Up Dots. So how close was he to burn out, when he made the unusual decision to escape the hassles and set off on an adventure of discovery? And is the way that we should all operate, or does it just work for a business such as his? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the founder of Videoblocks Mr Joel Holland.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who when you look at his history you think...well where do we start? He has developed brands across East Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He liberated 49 Rwanda women from the clutches of sex slavery and trained them for work in various careers across Rwanda that afforded them income, safety and a path to dignity. He has worked diligently to promote gender, racial and economic equality, developing an ethical fashion label and even wrote a bill on women’s rights in Rwanda that passed through Parliament and had become a law. Whilst in Kenya, he founded and operated a Creative Agency that has now developed some of Kenya’s most influential brands. And those arent even the highlights of this remarkable mans life, as he truly believes that we are all extraordinary beings created to thrive through deep relationships, nature, spirituality and creativity. None of this slog slog slog business, but instead a focus on experiencing a world of abundance, beauty and soul replenish wonder. His travels include twelve years of exploring from coast to coast in the United States, a decade living and working full time in East Africa and almost two years soaking in the pure life of Costa Rica, and now he resides in Nashville, TN with his wife and three of their four children. So has he always been a person who is on a mission to experience the wonders of offer, or was it because of the horrors seen in Africa? And does he see the world living a life over-complicated, in ways that it just doesn't have to be? Todays guest joining me for an hour of discussion on Join Up Dots, is a lady with a fascinating path to where she is today. Back in 2009 her country was in disarray. Iceland had suffered a huge economic crash, and financially was on its knees. So she was asked to play a leading role, working with the nations leaders, who collectively worked together to reinvigorate the country following the crash. The group tapped into the values and future vision of the island nation and transformed Iceland’s economy by branding their uniqueness, or their X-factor, as she calls it. Seeing first hand the immediate benefit and long-term results of a whole nation working collectively to discover who they authentically are, the outcome of this unique assembly became one of the cornerstones of her successful business branding process. She has transformed her own career and currently dedicates her work to supporting global leaders and their teams to brand their own X-Factor to unleash their fullest potential while discovering their own flow in business and life. Now if that sounds a bit highbrow, then let’s hear how she phrases it in her own unique way “Finding the thing that makes you unique is often right in front of your tits” Which I love and totally understand, and when you my trusted listener understand this statement you will wonder how you had never seen the thing right in front of yourself too. So does she look back and now wonder why it took a national disaster for her to reinvent herself and find her own x-factor? And does life become more and more fun, when you do step bolding into your own areas of genius? Well let’s bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Runa Magnus.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who has spent a lifetime defining her message and what she can bring to the world.

You see as a child she was on a path to being the goody goody child.

The daughter who did what was expected and chose the path of less resistance, in short other peoples paths.

But what happens when you realise that this isn't what you should be doing, but you have absolutely no idea as to what you really should be doing.

You have trained yourself to think using other peoples thoughts.

Well our guest started to see the light when she received a less than positive grade for a paper she had written at school

As she says "I grew up witnessing my two sisters getting yelled at or even having their mouths washed out with soap as punishment for being “fresh” with my parents.

Terrified by the threat of these punishments, I vowed to myself that I would never do anything that would make somebody punish me this way. Thus began my entry into goody-goodness, ensuring that — regardless of how I actually felt — my actions would bring nothing but approval from my parents, sisters, and teachers.

It didn’t even occur to me that my own opinions matter until a college professor handed me my first C grade for a paper (as you could imagine, I was a great student — at least when it came to following directions).

He said, “I don’t want you to write how you think I want it. I want you to tell me your own ideas.”

"Own ideas, own ideas, I dont have any ideas" she cried!

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who has such a story of overcoming work issues, personal issues and what the hell do i do issues, that its a delight to have her on todays show. As she says "I grew up outside Chicago and come from a family of employees. I was the first in my family to move from the midwest, and the first to leave a steady paycheck and become an entrepreneur; and I swear it caused my Mom to have to start blood pressure medicine with worry! I was always taught to work hard, get into a good college, get good grades, get a good job, and save toward retirement. I met my husband Mike on vacation in Hawaii in 2001 and moved to San Diego. I joined a small boutique financial planning firm where my most well known clients were owners of Ford, Chuck E Cheese, and Vinturi Wine Aerator. In 2005, Mike and I bought our million dollar dream home, and less than a month in (we hadn’t even made the first payment yet, and Mike lost his job). So, my income and hard work became more necessary and critical! Despite sitting at the dining room table with some of the most amazing business men in the world, I just wasn’t enjoying it any more! In 2008, I had a minor stroke. I was VERY lucky, but the stroke shed a lot of light on my life and priorities. I had my stroke on Sunday. I was in the hospital until 8 pm Tuesday night, and was back at my desk by 8 am the next morning. I had put SUCH a high value on being dependable and achieving, that I didn’t even take any time off to rehabilitate or just take a breath. I knew this life wasn’t working for me, but I was the primary breadwinner for our family, and we were counting on that steady paycheck." And that is where we will begin this episode of Join Up Dots. So how did she go from this point and create her own image of success, leading to a life that she didnt dread every morning? And does she look back and think "What the hell was I doing? Why did I push myself through such punishment" Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Amy Mewborn.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is an lady who seems to have the entrepreneurial genes from birth. She is an Entrepreneur and Business Performance Strategist who started her first business in her parents’ backyard at the age of 18 and turned that company into a 7 figure business. When she launched her performing arts business in 2002 from her parents’ backyard, she was a wide-eyed 18-year-old. By the time she was a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, her small, backyard business had turned her life upside down. She incorporated, rented space, and threw herself into her entrepreneurial dream. Over the next 10 years, she expanded into a custom-built facility, a second location, and grew the business into 7 figures. Now the beuaty of this story was she didnt go after the money, but she built her business around her passion. She found the task that she loved and looked for a way to share that with others. And this is when it starts getting good, as viewing this success people started approaching her for business advice, and she then found a new passion: guiding women entrepreneurs to greater business success. She is the author of the book “Is Your Business Worth Saving?” where she reveals proven strategies for pulling entrepreneurs out of a rut and launching them toward business success and the host of the Business Rescue Road Map podcast. And she is youthful, lovely looking and looks like she hasn’t got a care in the world. So how has she managed to push through to such success without getting the bags under the eyes, and the hunched shoulders from sitting in front of her pc for hours upon hours? And is it as simple as finding the passion before you start working on creating a business, or much more than that? Every weekend we go back in time and dip into the Join Up Dots vaults to find a show that could well be hidden from your ears. And why do we do this? Well, you success junkies desperate for the golden ticket have been asking "With so many episodes of Join Up Dots out there now, which ones should we listen to first? And its a difficult question to answer as everyone of them has motivation and inspiration flooding out of every pore. So we have simply decided to grab an entrepreneur at random, and share with you not only their journey, but also ours. We think we are getting better at this podcasting lark, but what do you think? Drop us a line at contactjoinupdots@gmail.com and let us know. Thanks as always for listening to the show, and enjoy todays entrepreneurial business chat. Todays guest is one of those guests that might seem easy to pigeonhole when you first look at him. But once you start digging down, you realise that there is so much more to him than most other artists operating within his creative area. A native of Virginia and a devoted family man, he first started making the world sit up and take notice of him when he jumped into the music world in 1996, and made his professional debut to rave reviews with the New York City Opera as Ralph Rackstraw in H.M.S. Pinafore. And although he certainly has got a set of pipes on him, that can belt out the huge opera numbers that you might be aware of, he unsually allows his voice to demonstrate many other types of music from pop, to Buble, stage musicals, to the Rat Pack. He believes that the music is only half of what he brings to the audience. Its the whole show that sets him apart from the stand in one spot and belt out the song type of performers. And now alongside his family, who are also amazing singers, he is taking his talent to the world. He was named “Best Male Recording Artist” of the year in 2001, 2004, and 2006 by the FCMA and has been released three solo recordings on the Shadow Mountain Label “Wondrous Love”, “Then Sings My Soul” and “A New Song” all of which have received numerous accolades and awards, including several Pearl awards So what is it about himself, that unlike so many people who would class family as the thing that stops their dreams, made him willing to give it ago? And has been surprised at how brutal the music industry is, now he is fully established in its world? My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who came to the show in an unusal way.

A kind of joining up the dots scenario if I ever saw one.

First of all, I started getting told of this remarkable book "How Big Is Your But?" which my coaching group were raving about time and time again.

"You have to get this lady on the show David" they cried.

And then maybe another five times her name popped up in front of me screaming "What are you waiting for....get her on the show!"...and so I did.

But who is she, you are screaming at me?

Who is this lady

She is a Certified Clinical and Transpersonal Hypnotherapist, and the Director and Instructor of the Orlando Florida Externship Program for The Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy.

She is passionate about teaching because she knows the power of this work, personally and professionally and the importance of training qualified practitioners.

She has worked in ICU, Trauma/ER and Recovery Room. so as she says "It was a natural transition to pursue a career as a Hypnotherapist,as becuase of this experience, I was inspired by the powerful mind / body connection and how self–awareness and reframing negative thoughts helps us heal emotionally and physically."

And now with her book flying on the shelves, she is bringing these learnings to an ever increasing client base, who are stuck in their own lives and need her help.

So how is it that some people can find the way through to where they want to be, whilst others just keep going around and around in circles?

And is it easy to do, if we only stop and ask the right questions. The questions that lead us to look

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who was introduced to the show by a previous guest and personal friend of mine Laura Steward.

She said to me “David, why the hell have I not introduced you to this amazing guest before?”

And I said “I dont know Laura, only you know the answer to that!”

Well, introduced us she did, and aren’t I glad that he is now here, as he is a man who is doing things in a very different way to many people that I have spoken to on the show.

He has worked in the high technology and software industries since 1978 as a programmer, salesman, field sales engineer and marketer and has joined up many dots that has now allowed him to start living a life full of passion.

He is the author of  Selling Steve Jobs’ Liver?” which is a bizarre title for a book, but seems a perfect one for Join Up Dots once you start reading it.

And he is also the author of “In Search of Stupidity: Over 20 Years of High-Tech Marketing Disasters,” too.

But that is just one side of how he also juggles his time and passions,  as away from the typewriter he is also the editor of Softletter, and happens to also be the COO of a new SaaS startup too.

So has writing about startups and entrepreneurial legends given him the secret steps that guarantee success?

And does he see an explosion of entrepreneurs coming our way due to the success of shows like this, where quite frankly they should stay as far away as they can from being the next startup?

Well let’s find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Rick Chapman.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a successful entrepreneur, an online marketing consultant with over a decade of experience, and a nationally award-winning website designer.

He has worked with clients around the United States and internationally— ranging from tech startups to some of the largest manufacturing and construction companies and now brings his knowledge as he now teaches Online Marketing Made Easy .

Now this is all interesting stuff, but the main thing that sets this guy apart is the ability to take action. To step up to the plate and swing, even when most people would have said “Just want a few more months until you are graduated” for example. You see when he was still studying at the University of Pittsburgh, working on getting a degree in Information Science and a minor in Computer Science he launched his first business. Kashurba Multi Media was launched to the world, and eventually he turned this into a business and started taking on clients. As his web design business grew he went from building $300 websites to crafting $30,000 websites and managing enormous advertising budgets. He now leads a virtual team with clients around the world. and now advises and mentors freelance web designers and digital agency owners on how to develop and scale their businesses. So what makes him a man who screams to the world “I can’t wait and I won’t wait”? And is it as simple to say that the ones that start the quickest have the best chance to surivie the startup and flourish? Todays show is a weekend rewind of a guest on Join Up Dots who was first introduced to the show by the brilliant Cathy O'Dowd who appeared on the show way back on episode 88. Now this episode is going to get us all thinking about what is possible in life. And what we are capable of achieving, as the first thing that appeared when I checked her website out were these great words " Life is a journey to find out what you are capable of, yet it is one that people often shy away from" She is an explorer and lover of the big challenges in life. But life didn't start in such a grand fashion, as like most of us she started her career in a corporate gig, and worked for British Gas. Although it is true to say that even within an environment like this, she was out to prove a few things and became one the youngest employees ever to reach a Senior Management Role within the organisation. But it was when made the decision to spend 3 moths in Kenya on her first expedition that her life truly changed forever It was then she could start to see the first footsteps on the path that she has traveled ever since, and developed her belief that she was capable of more than she imagined possible.. In 2013, she celebrated twenty five years since she made her that first expedition to Kenya, And since then she became the first British woman to ski to the Magnetic North Pole, which led onto expeditions to Antarctica, the Geographical North Pole and skiing with an international team across the Greenland Ice Cap. These expeditions taught her the realities of leadership, managing change and maintaining motivation, which she now helps business leaders put into practice today through corporate coaching and keynote presentations. So why did she decide to do that first three months in Kenya, and did she have to quit her job to do it, or did she have lovely bosses that allowed such a huge amount of annual leave? And as we find time and time again on Join Up Dots, is it the true hardships that we learn from most, or do they just point us to the direction we should be moving? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Sue Stockdale.

Today's episode of Join Up Dots poses a very big question. And that question is "Is My Relationship Holding Me Back?" You see so many listeners of join up dots are inspired on a daily basis to create their dream life, and take big bold actions after listening to our episodes. We fan the flames to take the kind of actions that will increase your income, boost your love life, and allow you to have the kind of amazing experiences that are a wow. And then they get home and it's back into the humdrum life that they have created for themselves. They tell their partners about what they want to achieve in their lives, but instead of getting a "Go for it, I will support you!" they get something quite different. "Why do you want to do this?" "We are great as we are already aren't we?" The kind of responses that root you to the spot, and makes momentum building almost impossible. So what do you need to do when you want to change direction, but the relationship that you are in is not interested? Well in today's episode of Join Up Dots we give you five steps to take in your own time, to assess what needs to be done in your life. Big questions are required to be answered in your life and they start here. Thanks so much for listening to this episode of Join Up Dots and we look forward to answering all your questions. My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who for many people across the world needs no introduction.

He is one of the worlds best selling authors, a musician and one of the most popular and powerful copywriters from the past 25 years and expert in the Law of Attraction.

Born  on December 29th 1953, in Nile, Ohio our guest was raised in a household like millions across America.

It was a household that was hardworking but didnt have a lot of money to spend on luxuries.

But there was support, and love, and a roof over his head.

Step on a few years, and our guests life had turned on its head, leaving him at a position that many people would have struggled to overcome.

He found himself homeless, broke and alone in Dallas, far from home.

He lost his entire savings, about $1000, to a company promising overseas pipeline work.

But instead of getting himself back to place he called home, he was was too embarrassed to return to Ohio.

Instead he survived the streets of Dallas, sleeping at the bus station, on the steps of a post office and in church pews.

However instead of playing the victom, he focused 100% on the vision that he wanted in his life. To be an author of inspirational books.

And little by little he held firm to this vision and changed his circumstances, to become the inspiration to millions that he is today.

So when he was at his darkest points, were they really dark or just a moment that helped point the way to the future he wanted.

And with his every increasing awards, and accolades, and of course wealth occuring everyday could he go back with the confidence that he could repeat the journey once more?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who as soon as he connected with me I thought "I need to have him on the show" First he is British, and you can't fail to love a bit of British can you? Secondly his email subject was simply "An Entrepreneur Who Lost His Mind" You can't fail to love a bit of Insane British can you? As he says "I’ve spent most of my life feeling sort of… broken. Especially in the brain department. As a teenager and young adult, I was secretly crippled with social anxiety. Going into any social situation involving anyone I wasn’t super close to would, to put it technically, cause an internal shit storm. At one point I couldn’t even leave the house without getting embarrassing sweat stains under the arms, even in the dead of winter. After managing to bury all this deep inside me (cos that's what a 'real man' does), I tried to somewhat get on with a normal adult life. I went to university, got a job, quit, got qualified as a personal trainer and embarked on a career in health and fitness that ended up with me owning my own studio. Then I hit a brick wall. Despite finally having a growing business that I’d worked my balls off for, I was miserable, overworked and monumentally lonely. In fact, I was depressed. So I gave up on what I thought was my dream business. I sold the equipment, referred all my lovely clients to other trainers and even sold my car and many other possessions. And I embarked on a journey to discover what the hell was going on in my head and heart that was preventing me from being that seemingly elusive combination of happy and successful. And when you listen to his podcast "The Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses" Podcast" episode one you can see that this is a guy who realises that you start with whats in your heart. And then program your brain to be able to achieve it. A quick two step, that is ready to be taken, is so simple, but so complicated at the same time. So when you hear this guy talk about the hustle he has taken to get his own business. The long hours it took. Was he always on a path to losing his mind, or could he have done something so different? And is he truly happy where he is, or is he still on the path to losing his mind, just in a different setting? Jack Canfield knows a bit about creating success in his life, with book sales in the millions. So its a delight as we do every weekend, to go back in time and dip into the Join Up Dots vaults to find a show that could well be hidden from your ears in this case Mr Jack Canfield.

And why do we do this? Well, you success junkies desperate for the golden ticket have been asking "With so many episodes of Join Up Dots out there now, which ones should we listen to first?

And its a difficult question to answer as everyone of them has motivation and inspiration flooding out of every pore. Today’s guest quite simply needs no introduction, but hey what kind of host would I be if I didn’t build him up for the big entrance?

Well lets start with saying its rare that you will see a bookshelf or a library that doesn’t have one of his publications sitting amongst their ranks.

He is the author of the astonishingly successful series of books, that are the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series, that has been sold the world over, and counts sales as somewhere beyond 500 million copies worldwide.

And the fact that Oprah can hardly state three words without speaking about her love for this book, then you know he has created something special.

But his life hasn’t always been one of success, and with three marriages under his belt and a less than spectacular start to his professional life, he knows both sides of what makes a fully realised life.

He has worked for a living as a psychotherapist, an educational consultant, and a trainer to name a few, but it was when he met Mr Mark Victor Hansen co-author of the Chicken Soup Series that things started to move in the direction that he visualised for himself.

And through those life experiences, or up and downs, successes and failures, he learnt the Success Principles, that he found were the key to create the life that you want.

And now ten years later from it first being released, he is re-publishing it, with greater insights as to what can make an amazing life, he is a man on a vision.

So does he see the up and downs are actually the key points to what gives a life success, are they the foundations to maintain the momentum gained?

And does he get told by every waiter in the world “Ah Mr Canfield, I expect you want to have the Chicken Soup tonight, ho ho ho!”

Well let’s find out as its with delight, that we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Jack Canfield.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who I’ll be honest I should have had on the show along time ago. As he is someone that quite simply can put me in my place, and show us all how to create a podcast, a podcast movement and still have his own hair and teeth in the process. Nobody said it was easy after all! Starting his career back in 1995 on Tunbridge Wells Hospital Radio, it was obvious that he had set out on a path that was always going to be his own. One linked to his love for radio, and one that was linked with his passion for content creation. Then in 1997 things started to get serious, as he started seeking out work experience with many of the household names that make up national UK radio, and it’s more localised stations. He worked for BBC World Service, Capital Radio, TalkSPORT, Sunrise radio, 101.1 Rock Radio in Manchester, and even Kool FM, before he realised that in all likely hood he was going to end up building someone else’s dream if he didn’t take the leap and go for it on his own. And this he did by launching Music Radio Creative, a company that provides jingles, voice over talent, and script editing for anyone with a desire to create a podcast or radio programme too. Radio stations to your humble podcasters, have saught out his knowledge of everything sound related, and positioned him very much front and centre of the UK podcasting scene. And now with his wife Izabella, and his ever expanding family, he has taken this profile and launched the UK Podcasters Community and The New Media Europe Conference too. He is nothing but busy I can tell you. So with so many career jumps in his life, was he always on the path to where he is today, or is it one that is totally unexpected? And does he feel that being an entrepreneur in 2016, especially in the world of New Media is still wild west time, or just a walk on the golden sands of life? My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man, who unlike so many people really started creating his dream as soon as he could. He left school at 16, with no network and no idea what he would do. He just knew he couldn’t keep going through the motions anymore. Even though it was extremely scary, he had to forge his own path, to start living the life that he wanted, on his own terms. As he says "I've always been a believer in doing what you love and building life on your terms. And since leaving school at 16, I've been doing that with my life. Since then, I’ve done two programs with Seth Godin, played in professional poker tournaments, traveled through 10 countries in 2 years, and started a marketing agency in Singapore with clients such as Wacoal Singapore and QuickBooks Asia. Now, I host PassionBlueprint, where I share the stories of people who have taken the step out to do what they love - to inspire and help others do the same. It seems as if our guest has 100% the same belief as your friendly neighbourhood UK Podcaster, who sees a world that is just going through the motions And why should you do that, when you have the ability connect with people across the world that you have have never had before. You have the use of technology at your fingerprints more powerful than we have ever had before? And we have more people showing us the way to build a life of your dreams, if you only decide on what you want to do! Well lets ask some questions then, such as.... Why at the age of 16 did he feel that he had been coasting, when I would suggest that the world is expected to coast at that age, and just stumble into a job, any job? And now he has done it, does he see an easier path that he could have taken, or was the work ethic required to really get where he wanted to be? Todays show was inspired by a conversation with a listener of Join Up Dots who has become a great friend in a very short time.

Mr Neil Hughes from the Tech Blog Writer Podcast connected with David Ralph and shared the side hustle he was working on which has gone from strength to strength.

He is known across the world as the go to expert in everything startup and technology, and brings a podcast to the ears of his listeners who are fascinated by this subject every week.

He has a business that when he finally quits his corporate gig, is waiting for him.

And why has he gone off like a rocket and found his audience so quickly?

Well right from the beginning he has cleverly defined himself.

He has allowed himself to be 100% clear with what he is interested in, and what he can bring to the table.

The world will respond more to your interests than they will the individual skills.

They will be able to see the passions that you can deliver which will bring about the biggest results for themselves.

And that is what makes a business fly.

Not money, but results.

And that is how success is built!

Todays guest on Join Up Dots is a lady that has been delivering musical performances to the world since the age of seven, and I can imagine was belting them out in her bedroom even earlier than that too.

She grew up on a farm in Missouri, and could often be found hanging around the local rodeo stadiums, where she would delight in such activities as Barrel racing, and getting up on stage and singing the National Anthem to the cowboys, cowgirls and of course the audience.

There was certainly a ballsy approach to her upbringing as a small child, that has led her to take on bigger and bigger challenges as she has grown.

And those challenges have come often as she has stepped into the country music world with her well received singles “Not Pretty Enough” and the foot stomping back to rodeo roots “Cowgirls”, whilst also forming a band and playing everywhere she can.

Its the live work, that really sharpens your tools, and turns your talent into something that the world ultimately takes notice off.

But don’t just think that this is a story that is about a hugely ambitious country starlet racing her way to the top, as she is also trying her hardest to  give back to the world with a cause she is hugely passionate with, stopping bulling in childhood.

As she says “When I started doing rodeo pageants, I received a lot of criticism and backlash from other kids. It was a difficult time, but thanks to the support I had with friends and family, I was able to overcome that time period. If I can help just one person feel like they are not alone, and that things will get better, then I will have accomplished what I set out to do.”

And with a tour of schools undertaken, to speak about bullying she is taking action and inspiring youngsters throughout America to do things a different way.

So what was it about growing up in such a rough and tumble environment that has helped her on her way to Country stardom?

And can she remember how she felt on those early occasions standing on the rodeo stages and the spotlight turning in her direction?

Well let’s find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots, with the one and only Josey Milner

Show Highlights

During the episode we discussed such weighty topics such as:

How when she started in the music business she knew she had to have a plan, as she also knew that she didn’t have a clue how to start anything, so just took lots of action.

How she remembers how she lost so many friends at college due to her belief in herself and their obvious lack of belief in themselves.

How she struggles with song writing and is scared that the process is going to be hard every time she starts.

How you have to look after yourself when you are school, and sometimes it simply comes down to standing up for what you believe is right.

And lastly…..

How she looks back at the bullying in her life as actually part of what has made her flourish in a hard industry such as the music business.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who I first saw on YouTube and thought in an instant “I want this guy on Join Up Dots” as he is on the search for happiness. Which is great. But as like most the guests who have made up over 60o conversations, that initial thought of “I like what this guy is doing” only touches the surface of his work. He is a Writer, filmmaker, actor, TEDx speaker, multiple award-winning self-help author, poet, children’s author, radio personality, finisher of over 50 triathlons (including 4 Ironman distance races), cross-country bicyclist and someone that believes in waking people up. My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is an a man who connected with me to request to be on the show. And this request was very different from most pitches that come through to me that says "David, I should come on to your show as I created a business in my downstairs toilet, and within 30 minutes was making six figures per month!" No, No, No, that is not how it works, or at least not for the majority of the world, who decide that it is time to create their own income. Our guest nailed it when he told me "David, the first time I tried starting a business, I thought one juju priest from Africa placed a ‘curse’ on me. I failed at almost everything. I tried all the stuff the ‘gurus’ said I should. I blogged 7 times a day, promoted my blog post like crazy, I started a podcast, I created multiple infographics, I spent hours on social media,I wrote a book, I did cold email , I did influencer marketing, I did LinkedIn marketing, in fact, I did 1000’s of things. I did everything NOT to fail but I failed WOEFULLY! I learned something from my experience. Most of this self-acclaimed ‘gurus’ are ‘talkers’, they are not ‘doers’. What I did immediately was to stop taking advice from the ‘wrong’ people. Most so called ‘gurus’ don’t even take their own advice. So, I asked myself this question. ‘What makes the most important ‘thing’ in a business?’ I had to ask the right questions to get the solution to my ‘problem’. And that friends is how it works. You look for the 80/20 in your business, and then start solving others problems, and you are up and running. And that is what happened to our guest, and now he has a flourishing business called Clients Attraction where he shows the world 1: How To Package & launch High Ticket Program That Attracts Your Ideal clients 2: How To Consistently Attract & Close High Ticket Offers By Offering To Help People For Free, and..... 3: How To Build A Dynamic Marketing & Sales Funnel That Converts High Ticket Clients Consistently While Building Goodwill in your marketplace And it seems that the juju priest from Africa, is a vague and distant memory, and things are only going to get better. So did he ever think of stopping working on his business, and go back and get a job behind a desk somewhere? And if he could go back in time, would he create the same business, or do something different now he knows what he knows? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots. with the one and only Johnson Emmanuel

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who has had a fascinating journey to where he is today.

At the moment he is the online relationship expert, with the hit podcast Together -  Podcast About Relationships

Going back in time, for so many people, he would had looked liked he had the perfect career, in the perfect location, dealing with the perfect subject. He was a former attorney, who once ran Heath-Newton LLP, the largest family law practice in the San Francisco Bay area, specialising on helping people move through the heartbreaking, but sometimes liberating stages of divorce. As he says he has been through a thousand divorces but is still a romantic at heart, and with a never ending supply of former romantics wanting to go their separate ways, you would think that this was a job for life. However, our guest had other ideas, and instead of getting bigger and bigger he began looking to close his firm and sell it. But it was at this point when his world crumbed and the ground fell from under his feet. He discovered his partner had been embezzling money and he lost everything. And this is one of those key moments, a big dot moment as we call them, when he could have gone in many different directions but instead found what looks like his true love. So his next step (...after a year of depression post-law firm crisis), he launched his podcast and magazine, Together Guide, where he helps people find the love and keep the love, through stories, podcasts, retreats and workshops. Taking all his learnings through years of divorce, to well, nip it all in the bud before it ever gets anywhere near the big D word. So could he have only have got to this point, by going through the years of legal work, or does he now wish that it was fast track all the way? And why do people who start so in love, lose their way? Is it a lack on communication, or just forgetting what thrilled them in the beginning? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Erik Newton

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who certainly seems to have found her thing in life, and is now taking that out in to the world to help others find theirs too.

She is a world class expert and believes we should all find ways to make online marketing easy, with the right plan and strategy.

With a diverse background in retail, hospitality (resort and restaurants), event production/promotions, both for and not for profit, and executive management, she built the steppeing stones to what leads to success. And you could see that it really started to go her way after joining a start up media company in 1993. Within this business she grew the profits from $60K a month in revenue to finishing the first year in business with $7mm, leading to the company having explosive growth each year thereafter. After selling the media company in 2007, shee was asked to stay on with the new organisation to be an integral part of their aggressive growth strategy, acquiring 5 media companies in under 2 years. And more success followed, before she stepped out on her own by creating her own Strategic Marketing and Operations Consultancy business. Now, if that isn’t interesting enough the bit that i like about her career history, and where we will spend time, is her understanding that at their core, all businesses thrive or die on 3 key areas. and this doesn’t matter what business they are operating in. She is an expert in The MESSAGE, the MARKET, and then the MEDIA, and within these three areas, she likes nothing better than creating successful marketing campaigns that will naturally generate more revenue to the bottom line as well as a broader reach in the market place. And that is what we all want after all. So was she always an entrepreneur at heart, or did she reluctantly go about building her own dream life, and career? And if business can be simplified to these three stages, why do so many people struggle, especially in the online environment? Well lets fin out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dost the one and only Carrie Hartunian Smith

If you are about to start college and need the kind of career advice that works, then my guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who can help.

She is on a mission to impact millions, not allowing the obtacles of life to get in her way. As she says "I am from New Jersey in the U.S. and was the first person in my family to go to college. My parents only made it as far as elementary and middle school. When I look back on everything, it seems as though my dots simply aligned to take me towards my goal of pursuing a purposeful life. It's quite amazing to see them all join up. After graduating from Georgetown University, I went on to work in fashion and corporate marketing, before realizing that I didn’t want to wait to start living the life I want. During that time, I was diagnosed with depression, got into a bad car accident and more importantly started volunteering as an admissions interviewer, which made me realize how much I loved working with high school students and guiding them through one of the most stressful and sometimes influential time of their lives. I have been a full time college admissions counselor for almost 4 years now and have almost 10 years of experience. In addition to working one-on-one with students, I have also developed an online college admissions planning course to make the knowledge and insight I have accessible to families everywhere for less than $1/day. My goal in life is not to make a lot of money or become famous. It is to inspire our future generations to put their best into this world so that I may one day leave this world better than I found it through the lives I’ve touched. I’ve had such amazing students, including a legally blind student who later went on to study at an Ivy league institution. I will never feel like anything is hard or impossible after being blessed at the opportunity to work with her." Isnt this brilliant as so many people, and i think I at my heart I was in this group too, who start out with the goal to make a lot of money, and have a comfortable life just go through otions. But this is actually the wrong way to do it, and instead we should look to find a way that helps as many people as possible, and makes us feel as good as possible. Only then will we find true success. So what made her realise that a life in education is what lights her up, when so many adults cant wait to get out the doors and never return? And does she see a change in what students today think is possible, after so many amazing changes in the last few years? To our gustes today, Joel Capperella, startup success takes many different factors, and he is an expert at bringing those factors together like magic.

Lets start with one fact.... he is a man who can beat me hands down in one key area of his life.

He is the father of eight children!

Yes, eight…even more than I have wrapped up in my fatherly grip.

But what makes this guy even more remarkable is when he makes decision, he goes for it big-time, such as quitting his corporate job to finally chase his dream of entrepreneurship as soon as his twins were born.

Yes, at that time when most people would just get their heads down and think “I can’t take a risk like this now” he was throwing it all up into the air and flexing the old hustle muscle.

However as he says “Out of the gate it didn’t really work out very well, and the entire first year was more or less a wash.  I pivoted early in ’16 and am still at it, gaining traction and more revenue daily.  Is it risky?  Hell yes.  Could I wake up on the other side of this and look at my self in the mirror as if arising from a bad dream asking myself “My God, What have I done”, perhaps.  But those risks pale in comparison to looking back on my professional life and holding the regret of never trying.

What I have found since being on my own is that you never really truly know what it is going to be like until you are in it, and that the most difficult things you’ll face are hidden in the details of the fact that you are solely responsible for your own success or failure. “

But he is getting there, and now spends his time helping people in business tell a bigger story that gets them more awareness and speeds up their sales process.

He builds up the confidence to talk to more people. . . get more business, and find ways for his clients to sell more products and services without hard sell techniques.

So why did he take such a bold risk when he kids were born, and was this one that he would go back in time and change?

And is there a key element to building success that he can see so clearly now, but was 100% hidden to him at the start?

Well lets find out as we bring onto the to start joining up dots with the one and only, Joel Capperella

I failed big time. I hate to admit it but I have. There is no point in continuing the journey, when it's quite obvious that I am nowhere near where I should be at the moment. And how have I come to that realisation that there is not point in going on as I failed. Well you can see it on social media, FB and the images that the world shows the world. Everytime you see a picture on FB showing some amazing moment in someones life, you can see that you are so far behind the curve of where you want to be. Its obvious. But this isn't true. Its not that you failed, its just that these guys started earlier than you. They dipped their toes into the waters of where you want to be and have hustled their way to success. And do you know what? These people are looking at other people have thinking "I Failed" This is the normal way of life, but it doesn't have to the case as you can create your own success....the success that is right for you. So are you ready to stop thinking that you life is rubbish and everyone else has the answers? Well???? Lets start creating your own highlight reels to inspire the people behind you. That is the true mark of success after all.

Amazon Income, may not be the way that many people build a huge fortune, but my guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who without a doubt can call himself a serial entrepreneur as he has done just that.

He has built several multi-million dollar companies in both Australia and the United States, and really doesn't look like he is slowing down in the regard to creating his own destiny.

In 2005 he co-founded one of the first crowdfunding platforms in the world which went on to raise in excess of $100M dollars for start-ups and early stage businesses.

He currently owns a cloud software business, an Amazon review company (based in Florida), a home-wares company that sells its products exclusively through Amazon into 8 countries, and Reliable Education.

None of his companies have outside investors and all are profitable.

But what is super interesting to me is how he has created businesses in environments that we all hang around in, and almost take for granted.

Such as in 2012, he learned about the opportunity to sell on Amazon through a friend.

Now like all of us, he was used to seeing Amazon boxes all over town and he was a big user of Amazon himself.

But it wasn’t until he took a course that he learned that anybody could sell on Amazon, and that Amazon would handle all of the warehousing and shipping for him.

Once he understood that, he soon launched his own brand which now sells in 8 Amazon marketplaces around the world.

So how does he see these things, when so many people will just walk past them time and time again and never think "Wow what an opportunity!"?

And does he feel that anyone can do these kind of things, or to become a serial entrepreneur, do you require special talents and skills that are god given at birth?

Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mr Adam Hudson.

Aaron Anastasi is my guest today on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview.

He is an man who has been creating his life work from the age of 13 years old. Yes, when most of us are playing soccer with our mates, or playing X-Box our guest was singing and learning to play the guitar, even writing his own songs. His early songs were mostly rock, but he played acoustic and expanded his skills, until at the of 18, he recorded his first series of original songs, and started touring all over the United States, Europe and South America as well. Before taking the lessons that he had learned in the music world, to start teaching karaoke lovers, and shower singers how to make the most of their own vocal talents with his course Superior Singing Method But that is just one part of his backstory, as since those days he has flourished in the online world especially on Youtube, where in his own humble words he says "I’ve also had some success in the YouTube space (10 mil organic views/100k+ subscribers) But now is the next stage of his professional career with the release of his first book "The Voice of Your Dreams" where he shares his own successes, and struggles. It is a Self-help/Transformation book about silencing the voices of limitation and living a bigger life, a life with abundant possibility. Which is of course what this show is all about as you know. So with a background that encompasses film production, music, and now authorship how does he know where to channel his energies everyday? And does he know what his sweet-spot is, or is he in the rare breed of people that flourish by juggling many plates at once? Marketing an online business is so hard, and my guest today is a marketing expert and the host of the Market Like A Nerd Podcast who can show us all where we are going wrong.

Comin on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a young lady, that has endured more than most people will do in their whole life.

Growing up very poor with a father who was a drug addict and an abusive stepfather her mother was too scared to leave, you can imagine her life was full of dreams of something better.

You would think her life would have turned around when she graduated, and was accepted to one of the top universities in the world, Johns Hopkins, but just before she began her freshman year she was hit by a car and had to learn to walk again, and then was raped during her recovery period.

Still struggling with the aftermath of the accident during her freshman year, she found out some of the symptoms she was experiencing were actually signs that she was 4.5 months pregnant.

Not to be deterred, she was induced on a Saturday in April and returned to school on Monday to take a final exam.

With support from her mother and now-husband, she was able to graduate in four years with three majors.

But it wasn’t until she worked as a social media marketing intern that she found her calling, quit graduate school and started her first business at 21.

Now this is of course all very inspiring stuff, depressing in many ways, but also inspiring to see someone overcome so many obstacles in their lives, and fight their way back.

But what is most inspiring is the manner that she has created her own business personality, which is full of lightness, fun, and almost cartoon like quality which is really unique.

This is someone in control of how she wants to present herself to the world, and she is not willing to follow the route that everyone else takes.

She had her first $10k month at 22, made $150k in four months at 23, and now at 25 has completed a six-figure launch in 90 days while expanding her business to 19 countries.

She has mastered the art of working smarter not harder, paring down her work to part-time while taking at least 10 vacations a year.

Brilliant stuff!

So how did she manage to fight off the victim mentality and come back in such a spectacular manner?

And is this something that everyone can do, or do you need three majors, a business degree, and an ever expanding email list?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is with a man who has been on a personal journey, of success and discovery leading him to become the first Hispanic and Gay American to serve in two senior executive roles in the White House.

In 1980, he graduated from Harlingen High School, in deep South Texas, and it seems to me he spent most of his time playing a part to fit in to what the community, and his peers expected a Texas boy to be.

He hunted, fished, played football and baseball and lived the life of someone else, certainly not what he wanted to be: An openly gay man.

It was a difficult time for him as you can imagine, and things didn’t change until he got through to College age.

As he says “Getting to college gave me permission to finally start to be me. It was OK to start to live my little secret. It was accepted and celebrated in so many ways. That was a life-saving experience for me.”

So what do you do when you can finaly start to relax into your own personal power, and live the life that you want?

Well you head to the White House to hug the then vice president Al Gore, and burst into tears on his shoulder.

Well that would be the usual way of doing things, but not the Join Up Dots way of doing things, or our guests, instead he went to New York to try to make it on Broadway, believe it or not, to try to make it as a singer, before returning to school, to study for his law degree, until finally 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue beckoned and his life changed forever.

And now with his book “Little Secret Big Dreams” on the shelves he tells his story, as he overcomes the hurdles of his life to be who he wanted to be.

As he says “I wrote it because I want kids and adults to realize you can come from the Valley and get to the White House. I wrote this for anyone who has ever felt different. The message is to

every kid and ever parent — celebrate who you are. We are, each and every one of us, worthy, unique and special, and we have a place at the table of life.”

So could he have got to where he was today, by missing any off the dots that have made up his life, or did he need every single one to occur?

And did working within the White House, see that the power of change was something that everybody wanted, or was it simply a minefield of red-tape which made that change so difficult to achieve?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who was kind enough to have me as a guest on his show Smashing The Plateau.

This is a great show where he raises the question that we all need help with in our lives - How to get past that huge obstacle that keeps us stuck in our lives.

How to smash the plateau. you see its all in the name.

Now the interesting thing about our guest is his desire to not only help individuals achieve success, but also companies too which has taken up the bulk of his life over the last decade..

He is the President of TEND Strategic Partners, and is a recognised authority on leadership and management capabilities that lead to organisational excellence.

He is the creator of the TEND System™, specifically designed to take advantage of existing resources from a team…building upon successes they have already achieved… integrating and managing structured changes, with built-in accountability, without adding excessive workload or unnecessary expenses.

By tapping into time-tested blueprints to overcome emotional and tactical roadblocks, he designs and implements the innovations needed for business to thrive, and empowers organisations to become the recognised go-to resource in their niche.

But of course within all organisations their are individuals with their own problems, so is it as simple as helping the man is the quickest way of helping the boss?

Or do we simply have to find a world where the right pegs are banged into the right holes.

Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Mr David Shriner-Cahn.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady with a fascinating story of personal acceptance, and battling other peoples personal perceptions of her.

She is a Manchester born, award winning playwright, director, who is driven to get her words onto the page to provoke thought, view point, and change.

Her plays capture the unspoken complexities of human relationships – the things we say, the things we hide, the secrets that shape us – in a way that few contemporary dramatists manage. Immensely subtle and beautifully observed, her work gives voice to unforgettable characters and leaves us mysteriously changed.

Now growing up as mixed-race teenager in Moss Side, Manchester in the seventies was quite an experience.

If you dont know the reputation of Moss Side, then it would be fair to say that it is known as a tough, working class environment, with back in the seventies, very few opportunities to grow into a person different from your peers.

But our guest had other ideas, and was determined to break free and do as we say something different.

But the fascinating moment, or should we call it a Big dot moment seems to me to be the realisation that it was good to be different.

It was ok to say “I am what I am” and I am happy to be different.

As she says “Because my dad came from the hills in Jamaica – a proper country guy. It makes me really proud that my dad came here as an immigrant, my mum came from Ireland as an immigrant, and in one generation they made a playwright, and next they made an actress. So I feel historically wonderful!

So was this reinvention of themselves, the inspiration for her to create a bigger and bolder version of herself?

As in 1999, when before our guest hadn’t written a play before, she took the North West Playwrights’ course and won the 2001 Alfred Fagon Award for her The Well, followed by an attachment at the National Theatre Studio in 2002.

Or was, the big dot moment when in rehearsal for a play she stood up to her director and said “‘You ask the secondary white actors what they think — you tell the main character, black actors what to think. bu never me” receiving the response “You are barred and if you try to come back in the police will remove you.’ ?

She is now based in the US, after starting her life and then running away from her home in China to find her true purpose.

And it seems that her true purpose is now coming together with her flourishing business, where she helps students  and  working  professionals  who  want  to  pursue  a  career  they are  passionate  about  and  live  a  regret  free  life going from strength to strength.

But it has taken a few years to get this going, as she says “Growing up in China, I spent most of my childhood in school and buried myself in mountains and mountains of books. At that time no one thought anything different. Parents and teachers were all telling you this is the only way to get ahead in your life—get good grades, go to good school and get a good job. After junior high, things changed. There was a voice in my head telling me to be different. I found myself in love with personal development books and started to rethink everything: Why do I go to school 8 hrs a day? Why do I study something I probably never going to use? Why are painting and knitting known as wasting my time?

The voice in my head got louder by the day. Finally, I decided to leave the home and country I familiar with, come to America to find the purpose in my life. Things are very different here. Children go to school for only 5 hr a day with little to no homework. They can do pretty much anything without getting told as wasting your time. Everyone here is saying follow your heart and go get what you want in life.”

So how do you transition to a life you want, when the voices are getting louder and louder, but you haven’t decided where you should focus your life?

How do you make the next step the right step?

Well you don’t.

You just have to do something, and then something else, until it becomes clear to you.

And from studying textiles and design in University,  to working for Clark’s shoes as a Retail Manager, to becoming a Freelance Designer, our guest certainly tried something else before Yanran Career coaching burst into life.

So when she was about to leave China, and move to the US, did her family tell her she was making a huge mistake, or “Go for it Yanran, we believe in you!”?

And now she is doing what she is doing, does it become easier to attract clients because she has a backstory, or is it harder because of it?

Well lets find out as w bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Yanran Carpenter.

So todays entrepreneur podcast dont come better than this.

Todays show is a solo show when your friendly neighbourhood UK podcaster shares his feeling of happiness and poses the question.

When was the last time that you felt truly inspired, and happy when you are at work?

It's a big question and one that so many of us do not stop to consider, as we are so focused on the future, the in trays and that ever increasing email inboxes.

But we really should as its the only way to operate.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who has one of the greatest "About Pages" that I have ever read. It was like a movie in the making, where after working in an office for eighteen terrible months, her whole life came crashing down after finding herself in a room with three of the most terrible managers that you would ever find. As she says "I worked at the office for 18 dreadful months before I was very unprofessionally relieved of my duties on August 8, 2011. Three managers (I’ll call them Randi, Candi, and Mandi – they were all old enough to be my mother) sat me down in a room and, instead of just firing me (which I did, in fact, deserve for my poor choices), personally attacked me with verbal venom. “You’re a sack of trash,” said Randi, who was president of the company. “You’ve been stealing from me for months.” “You make me sick." Unbelievable comments that were only made to strip away the self-esteem, and leave her in a pool of self despair. But looking back, these horrible managers were the start of something amazing in her life. A changing of her mindset to rebuild, restart and find her true path and that was found in the world of proofreading, which within just a few months changed her life in a way she could never have hoped to experience. Alongside her partner Ben, together they went from a $4,000-a-month average income to a $100,000 a month business in just over a year. In the last 15 months their online businesses have grossed over a million dollars and have helped over a thousand people live better lives. As she says "We no longer believe earning money has to be a lifelong struggle or endless exchange of our time for money. Instead, we believe following our “genius” — our own unique know-how — plus a lot of passion and hard work (read: action taking!!!) can and does bring a greater reward. Now we’re paying it forward by coaching other people in obtaining the necessary skills and resources to turn their own “genius” into a valuable product that enhances not only their own lives, but others’ lives, too." So does she look back on Randi, Candi and Mandi and ever think......"I would love to get them in a bar and buy them a drink to thank them for their poor management? And if she can now have a life that can be taken anywhere, is there ever a desire to set down deep roots and call a place a real home? My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man whose careers have taken him across the globe and exposed him to leaders, master communicators, persuaders, influences, and negotiators in hundreds of nations and across many different cultures. Starting his career back in 1985, as an attorney assigned to large litigation matters such as aviation litigation and tobacco litigation it was obvious that this was a young man full of ambition, Moving through a few quick career steps, it seems obvious to an outsider than upon creating the company Success technologies he had found the thing that he was waiting to do. He now uses his experience to teach leadership, sales and marketing, persuasion, influence, interrogation, and negotiation to audiences ranging from computer hackers turned “good guys” to entrepreneurs, the military and to civilians. Appearing on NPR, MindTV, PBS, Fox News, and on over 120 radio and television programs it is with little surprise that he has also been flourishing within hes own freelance keynote speaking business. He has authored several books related to persuasion, influence and business, and co-authored Einstein’s Business with M. Scott Peck, Steven Covey, and many other folk, whilst still being a practising lawyer. So how does he manage to do all these things whilst still keeping his hair, his sanity and managing to spend anytime with his family? And what is the area, if it was all taken away from him that he would now like to step into, bringing his talents to a whole new audience? She is also the host of the Heartpreneur Radio Show on iTunes.

She is also a best-selling author of over 17 books, keynote speaker, radio host, and appears regularly in the media as a business coaching and consulting expert, and has been named one of the top ten coaching gurus in the world. And if that is not, she also seems to have the biggest smile the world has ever seen. Honestly, it is like happiness has found a place to live. But what has lead her to this point in her career? Was it like so many of us who search for instant success, but in fact wander through several years of ups and downs before finding our thing, or did she hit the ground running? I guess we will find out during today's shows. But one thing for sure is she is on a mission to change the way that business, solopreneurs, and entrepreneurs operate when dealing with their customers. A few years back she got fed up with how businesses were treating prospects, customers, employees, and vendors and decided to create the term Heartrepreneur™ making thought leaders operate from within their hearts instead of their wallets. So is this something that she now sees as her legacy work, or is the ambition still to achieve something bigger, bolder and brighter before she departs? And what does she feel are the biggest obstacles to overcome when working from your heart for most people? My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is lady who has done something truly amazing in her life. And this is something that we can all do in our owns live too. She set out to re-write her story and create a different ending to the one that she was living, and achieved it. As she says "I was a shy security guard, working 60 hours a week earning £1,000 a month before I was made redundant after coming back from my second maternity. Lacking the strength to pull through, I slipped into a slight depression, lost 50% of my hair, and had a massive breakout on my face, all because I thought I was going to lose it all. I had no spark, no enthusiasm, and no zest for life. The thought of experiencing anything miraculous, not to talk about making money in my own business, never crossed my mind. I actually thought, “This was the end of rope, I’m too old to start making any impression.” Then one morning while having a hot shower, listening to Beyoncé, I heard a big bang on my door, and I ran out naked with this look on my face, WTF..... So what happened to make this soapy, naked lady, turn into a super successful woman coaching all around the world on personal branding and marketing, bringing in a minimum of £20K a month? How did she go about making the different choices in her life that lead to the success she craved, when she had no idea how to go about it? Jaime-Lee Fraser  is my guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview.

She is a business strategy insider, the Co-Founder & Director of an award winning Financial Advice Firm, Master NLP Practitioner and a Business Growth Expert. She is on a mission to help the world create their own freedom, and financial independence after almost seeing her own future snatched away from her in the most terrible of ways. Starting her career as a Customer Sales Representative for United Airlines, she was very much on the corporate path, working for the man to build his dream. Whether she had desires at that point to build her own dream, who knows, as she then moved into another position in Financial Services , before working for Comminsure as their National Technical Manager? All pretty standard stuff. But one thing is for sure, her focused changed almost overnight to one of "Lets make my time on this planet the way that I want it to be!" And who can blame her, as back in 2002, our guest was enjoying a night out in the tropical paradise that is Bali. The Sari Club in the popular beach resort of Kuta had been full of holidaymakers, enjoying the evening, the conversation, the music and the drinks, before a bomb detonated. She was trapped by the explosion, facing death and trapped in flames. As she says "While it was the worst and best day of my life as I miraculously survived, I knew I had more to give in this life." And now she is very much her own woman, and has transformed herself into a financial entrepreneur, business & performance strategist joining forces with visionary leaders and emerging entrepreneurs, to guide them to create their most powerful, happy and successful life possible. She speaks passionately about what she thinks we should achieve, as she says "The reality, money is a significant element to creating freedom. But I also believe it's living with more meaning to be who you really want to be. It's a process of growth, improvement and a deeper force to become the most powerful, happy and successful you possible. So how did this lady transform herself from survivor to business leader in such a short period of time? And does she feel that although not wanting a bomb to go off next to all her clients, the world more than often needs a shock for it to realise "Time is limited....let's get going?" Freedom to find out the stuff that governments push to the bottom is key to big change.

And that is where my guest expert, and host of the hit podcast "Congressional Dish" Jennifer Briney, joins us on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview.

She is a lady who is doing stuff very differently from the majority of people that I have on the show.

We have had the life coaches, adventurers, entrepreneurs, sportsman, and authors. We have even had the public speakers, freedom fighters, and dreamers.

But today’s guest is different, as she has found a passion within the reams, tomes and amendments that make up American Politics.

As she says “I startup most mornings ready to spend most of my time reading through the ridiculously long bills that are voted on in US Congress and watching fascinating Congressional hearings. I use my podcast to discuss and highlight corporate influence on the bills. Most Americans, if they pay attention to politics at all, only pay attention to the Presidential election. I think that’s a huge mistake because we voters have far more influence over our representation in Congress, as the Presidential candidates are largely chosen by political party insiders. My passion drives me to inform Americans about what happens in Congress after the elections and prepare them for the effects legislation will have on their lives. I also want to inspire more Americans to vote and run for office.” All fascinating stuff, and I feel it mirrors what happens in the UK too, when we only slide off the sofas, and put our X’s in the boxes when it comes to the big stuff. But what makes it doubly fascinating that with a history of waitressing, saleswoman. and Operations Intern for AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour, there was seemingly nothing that indicates a change in this direction? But Im sure we will find out during the show that the truth is very different indeed. So how do you take a passion for the hidden world of politics and convert it into a business, that entertains and inspires the American people that can make a difference, but are unaware of the power they hold? And does she feel more and more frustrated the deeper in she goes, or more and more encouraged that a change is a comin? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show, to start joining up dots, with the one and only Jennifer Briney

Dream careers come in many different forms, and my guest today on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady with an interesting story to how she got her dream career for sure. And one that so many ladies listening today will no doubt feel great resonance with. Starting her career back in 1995 as a Consultant for Accenture she was on a mission. Her ambition was high. Her drive to achieve on full power. There was a ladder to be climbed and she wasn’t hanging around on the first rung for anyone. She was getting to the top. So tucking her skirt in, taking off those heels, she climbed quickly, and moved her way through many different companies for the first decade building her skills, learning from different cultures and climbing that corporate ladder. However as her income increased, her business opportunities flourished and the world looked in her direction and said “Good job! You are living the dream!” inside the true story was anything but success. She was unfulfilled personally, and no matter how well her professional life was going, inside their was a void. A void that brought her to the crossroads where a decision, as to where her future lied was waiting for her. As she says ” When I was 36 years old, I was unmarried and also felt judged. It seemed that all of my friends were married and having children. And I was so tired of my dates asking me, “Why are you still single?” I longed to find a life partner, but couldn’t figure out why my love life wasn’t as successful as my professional life. The continual reminder that my husband wasn’t showing up led to a growing sense of loss – loss of what should have been and the loss of the life I had hoped to live. After many tears, I decided to do whatever I could to change the trajectory of my love life, including taking a 9 month break from dating. That was scary when I thought I needed to be “out there more than ever!” The path and actions I took led me to increased confidence, joy, self-love, additional professional success and a new life purpose – all before I met my husband. I met my husband at the age of 39. We married one year later.” And that change in her personal life coincided with her finding the path that has led her to where she is today, sharing her knowledge with the world as a love coach. Yes, I think this is the first of these that we have had on the show. She has now built a flourishing business coaching ladies everywhere how to find their perfect partner, create that dream-life, and perhaps even getting a little more oomph between the sheets than they have had in the past. So when did she see that this was what she wanted to do in her life, and instead of working tirelessly to build someone else dream it was time to go after her own? And is there a common issue that stops ladies from finding their prince charming and going to the ball? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Jennifer Spaulding

Sometimes success is found in the most unusual places, and our guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who is waking up every morning with a “Yay” as it seems that he is living a life that is ticking so many of his own personal boxes.

And why is that you maybe asking?

Well today’s guest has been on a roller-coaster ride as an entrepreneur which has seen him hits the heights, crash and burn, and then fight his way back to where he is today. Where he wants to be...a startup expert, and the host of the Business Revolution With Stephen Christopher podcast.

Starting his business career firmly in the corporate America camp, by working for Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for Coco-Colas 401k and pension plans for a couple of years, he was like the majority of young man.

He was going to work, putting on the suit, and earning the cash for that weekends relaxation and enjoyment.

However, with several quick career moves, you could see that the early years was simply stepping stones to taking the entrepreneurial leap of faith.

It was inevitable that he would stop putting all his faith in building someone else dream and start building one himself, and that occurred when he became the Founder of Real Estate Investors Network.

He was up and running and success was sweet and all his own.

But it was running this mortgage company that ultimately changed the course of his entrepreneurial journey.

With the crash of the mortgage industry in 2008, our guest learned what it’s like to go from profitable to over $100,000 in debt…literally overnight.

This failure taught him more wisdom about business than any school or program could ever teach him and since then, he has evolved into a devoted student of personal and business development.

But not in the “I am a business coach, lets spend an hour a week on skype with you”….no he had much bigger plans than that.

He wants to help peoples businesses flourish in the world of Google Land where all the eyes, and fingers flick across everyday.

As he says “The Internet has become incredibly complex and competitive. It’s tough for businesses to stay visible…to stay ranked high in the search engines. Which is why I have created Seequs to ensure your business is heard–and seen–above the racket.”

And now with a flourishing marketing company, his Business Revolution coaching, Podcast, and public speaking he is getting out there where it matters.

He is changing peoples lives, and of course changing his own life in the process.

So how did this guy who was terrified to say two words in front of an audience find the courage to put his head above the parapet to lead the way for others?

And when he looks back at his early start, did he need to work for others to find the angle to start working for himself?

Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Stephen Christopher.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who is building her dream, whilst helping others to do the same.

Yes she has mastered the skills of the old leap of faith, and now is sharing those skills.

She is the founder the Women’s Dreamvision Network where she helps new female entrepreneurs build and market their businesses while providing a behind-the-scenes look into how others brought their dreams to life.

Yep, she is the wizard allowing us all (at least the females of the world) to look behind the curtain of what it takes to build a business.

But this isn't a success that is full realised. This is work in progress, so its a delight to have another guest who is really flexing the old hustle muscle to build something new.

And can share with us the struggles, issues and successes that are fresh in her life.

As she says "After working in politics, marketing, and communications for more than 15 years, I focused on a career change last summer. Deep down, I knew there was so much more I could offer and accomplish with my skill set. Though I had many ideas, after much soul searching I started coaching new women entrepreneurs. Women have so much to share with the world and incredible knowledge to pass on, but they are also extremely strapped for time, resources, and, unfortunately, they often lack confidence. I love doing my part in helping them break the cycle and get their gifts out to the world."

So she drilled down, found her niche, looked for a solution to a problem and went to work.

And I suppose as most people find, her ideal avatar looks to have trned out to be herself, as with free small children, a husband, and extended family she certainly must have times when she puts her hands in the air and says "Give me a break for five minutes......i cant be there for everyone!!"

So what made her want to create her own destiny at a time, when so many other ladies would have said "We need to wait until the kids grow up a bit first?"

And where did she find the confidence to step out to the front, when her business is still a a baby in the great scheme of things?

HR, and Human Resources Management is an issue for most businesses. But what about Human Resources For Small Busines? Well that is where todays guest comes in

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is the founder and CEO of HR CUBE, a global HR Tech startup based out of Indianapolis with markets in India and the US.

And this isn't a surprise that he has a global business on the go, as he was quite obviously bitten by the entrepreneurial bug right from a very early age.

In fact it looks as if he was born with it, as when he was in 7th grade, he came across an article about Soichiro Honda (Founder of Honda) that created a blueprint for the entrepreneurial journey that he has been on ever since.

He was inspired and started to take the first steps to where he is today.

However, he knew it wasn't going to be easy to break free from the life that he was in, so started following visualisation techniques to focus on achieving his dream of building a company, and growing up in a middle class family in India, he had to go through constant struggles to make it to the US to pursue what he saw as the next logical step.

Graduating studies at NDSU, Fargo.

Which he did and then the real work began.

As whilst working in SAP consulting, he tried 3 different startups on the side in 7 years, none of them amounted to much, other than constant struggle for recognition and not getting a salary increase for 7 years.

But this didn't deter him, which is the spirit that all entrepreneurs show and develop until lightning strikes and they find their find their thing.

But through these disappointments he was working harder to define his ideas before he came to market, and during this time, he decided to pursue Online/Hybrid MBA at Kelley School of Business, Indiana University that gave him the next move to get full time into Entrepreneurship.

As he says "Those 3 years of MBA was the best decision I made in my life" as the first idea on the road to where he is today started to grow around him.

He realized that to do what he was really passionate about, he needed to do it full time.

So, one day, he told his Boss that he was leaving his job to pursue his Startup Journey, and the rest as they say is history.

So what was it about those early startups that caused them to fail, and now he looks backs could he have saved them or were thye always doomed?

And does he think that he could have achieved the same level of success without moving to the US, or did he need this change of culture?

Ross Jeffries is my guest today on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots podcast interview. Now if you havent heard of Ross Jeffries, let me tell you he is a man who can teach us all about connecting and engaging with the opposite sex. Yes, this is one of those episodes that all you single men, fed up with being rejected in the bars of the world will want to take notes on. He is known as the Legend of Seduction and has coached, and mentored over 60,000 men around the world, since 1988, guiding them to the success with women they truly desire and deserve. His system, Speed Seduction®, shows you how to succeed with the women you really want, predictably and reliably, without guesswork or games, respecting yourself and the women you enjoy. Since the early 1990s, Ross Jeffries has been included CNN, Fox, NBC, the BBC, CANAL+, Playboy, Rolling to name just a few. But this is where the story get interesting as imagine you take these same levels of persuasiveness, and instead of leading back to the bedroom, you lead back to the boardrooms and company botton line? Well as he says "Look at it like this: if you can convince a guy who has been terrified of women his whole life to drop that fear in under 10 minutes, and then teach him to communicate with women in a way that truly moves and touches them, then....then you can convince anyone of anything." Powerful stuff indeed, and so now you will find our guest travelling the world as he works with a handpicked selection of high-powered entrepreneurs, sales people, and other professionals to teach them his unique, one-of-a-kind, under-the-radar persuasion blueprint. My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is Matt Marr, an actor from the USA.

He has a title that I have never used before on any show But it is one that I wish that I had come up with, as he has been called the Gay White Oprah which is a fantastic name. But how has he come to receive such an accolade you maybe asking?

He is also the host of the Dear Mattie Show the top ranked podcast on iTunes.

Well my listeners it can be put down to one thing, or maybe two things. The ability to be himself, and the ability to know how to connect with others and startup a conversation that builds success. You see all business success is based on these two characteristics, and it seems that our guest has them in abundance. As he says “I am the type of guy that can meet you and within two minutes have you spilling your heart out” So it’s with little surprise, that after receiving his Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in 2009, he has been taking this ability to open the hearts of whoever he talks to by helping people everywhere with his weekly advice podcast “The Dear Mattie Show” where he discusses relationships, sex, fear, friends, job, and even makeup in an inspiring and entertaining format. But if you are thinking that this is just another normal type of life-coach guest that you see all over the shop, then think again. He is also a singer; received a undergrad in Opera Performance from the University of North Texas, has been active in the project Get Empathy, a campaign to build a national movement to stop bullying in schools. Communication Director for Brave Trails, supporting Gay, Lesbian and Trans-Gender folk to become thought leaders in their fields, and a stand-up comic and producer. So with all these different experiences and knowledge, is there a chance that he could get lost with himself and dilute whatever he considers his god given super power? And when he get someone to start talking does he every think…”Ok, Ok, I think this was a bad idea? This person just wont shut up?” Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Matt Marr.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is an Award-winning singer/songwriter, performer and multi-instrumentalist from Shelburne, Ontario, Canada.

And if that sounds like a pretty standard introduction then think again.

As this guy is not normal, in any shape or form, and to be honest this was one of the hardest introductions to write as it is hard to pin down the guy.

He is hugely positive. Loves his music. Is up for a laugh. Loves entertaining. But also is a deeply sensitive guy inspiring the world to do their own thing and love their lives in the process.

As we see time and time again on Join Up Dots, the people who really seem to be setting the world alight, always have tapped into the thing that they loved doing from the time they were a small child.

The kind of things that didn't require money as a reward, as they simply loved the task.

And our guest seems to be the very same, as linking him back to starting to speak at a very young age, and living in a very musical house, you can see he wanted to express himself.

His grandmother and mother also were always singing to him… and so at an early age the entertainment bug was starting to show itself.

He learned a bunch of childhood songs like row row row your boat, John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmit and old Slavonic songs, and would perform for people when they came to the house and to dinner..

As he says "My family were very proud of me and I think sometimes they loved to show me off; especially if I did imitations of other people. There was a lot of laughter."

So it seems the path to his first album "Special Ed and The Musically Challenged", released in 2000 (which I admit I read twice before I grasped the pun!), was there from the early days.

And with the follow ups "Oracles and Ice Cream", and Letters from High Latitudes, (an homage to his Ontario, Canada home) he has joined up his dots taking him back to his childhood, to live the life that he should.

So can he remember the first time that he stood up on a stage, strummed his guitar and started creating his destiny?

And was it terrifying or like walking into a comfort bubble waiting for him to enter?

And knowing what he knows now what would his biggest advice to his younger self be?

Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Ed Roman

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady from Melbourne Australia who has one belief in life. That all of us are capable of being a bigger, brighter version of ourselves than we give ourselves the opportunity to be. Her official bio states that she is "is a best-selling author, workplace well being teacher and playful change activator" which is of course true but is not something that occurs by magic. Back in 1994, she was working for PR Works as a general manager where she built a profitable IT portfolio, as well as creating a media training service for CEOS. Which I find fascinating, as someone who is now firmly entrenched in the people development world, this wasn't an area of her life that just burst into being after several decades. It was there right at the beginning, which grew larger in her next job as a PR Manager for Sausage Software. But it seems to me that things moved up a gear when performing the position at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, as their international leadership coach, where she worked across the world to implement the companies brand strategy using Positive Psychology theories across their culture. And then there comes the time where our guest could have continued to rise up the ranks in corporate land, gaining the salary and working tirelessly to build someone else dream. But our guest had other ideas, and left to create her own company and her own dream, after completing her Masters in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) at the University of Pennsylvania And with a career history scattered with roles lasting a couple of years or so, it appears that she has truly found her thing, as she has stayed where she is ever since. Developing her company, bringing in bigger clients and well......loving it. As she says "I'm passionate about bringing out the best in people, particularly at work. Fusing Neuroscience and Positive Psychology into tested, practical actions, I create happier, more rewarding and more profitable workplaces for employees, their bosses and their organisations." And who wouldn't love to do something that you are passionate about everyday. That is the dream after all. So when did she get the inkling that building her business was awaiting for her? And was it scary time or "Hell yeah, lets get going?" And is there a similar theme that stops most companies, and the employees of those companies operate at the highest level? My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man with a similar career path to myself.

And a man who also has a desire to see the world flourish, and help individuals across the globe to grow exponentially, becoming their greatest versions.

But of course to get to that point, you truly have to go through a journey of discovery yourself, to find your inner skills that make you unique and valuable to everyone.

And it would be fair to say that just a few years ago, our guest was many many steps away from discovering their purpose in life.

He was working in a restaurant in Notting Hill as a waiter, as he had been doing since the age of 15, and had certain mental restrictions should we say, that were holding him back from creating his dream life.

He didn’t have a degree and his level of English was not quite enough to understand the self development literature that he was starting to immerse himself in.

As he says, “Just three years ago I was facing a very difficult moment of my life. I knew I had to change but I didn’t know what to do. I felt lost, like wondering in a circle in a dark room with no exit sign and this wasn’t me!! I have always been the uber-positive-hyper-charged person that was able to lift up the energy of an entire room!! Where was that me? Where did it go? I wanted to find him and bring him back!

So he took the plunge and signed up for an extensive two day coaching course in London, even though he had nowhere to live, and started working on himself everyday.

He built that personal belief that he had inside him what was required to create a succesful business and little by little saw his life and his finances change.

He first set up his coaching company Your Power to Shine Ltd and then a personal development events company, GTeX and was on his way.

And now with a flourishing public speaking, coaching and development, and didgeridoo business (well the last one isn’t a business but is very impressive) he seems to be having the time of his life.

So when did he truly switch the switch of belief and start making the bold decisions that make such a difference moving forward?

And does he look back at himself and think “You were always ready to find the power to shine” you just had to start?

Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only, or as they say in Italy la sola e unica, Simone Vicenzi

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is an musician, songwriter, worship leader, teacher, speaker, coach, husband, and father. It's certainly true to say that he has a lot of plates spinning at one time. But at his core you can tell that he is a family man, and although everything in his life holds a significance to him, it's family that ties it all together. Right from the early days his musical output has been nurtured and encouraged by the family atmosphere that he found himself in As he says ""My father is a pianist and back in the day he had a small jazz quintet that would rehearse in our basement. So I had a pretty good catalogue of bebop standards as part of my fabric even as a young boy. My mother didn't play an instrument but was a creative force in the house. She was always designing clothing, developing a new dish to eat, or drawing. Both my parents had a way of allowing me the freedom to express myself and making me aware of God as creator. Like so many from my generation the British band invasion of the mid/late '60s fuelled my desire to pick up the guitar as an instrument. Initially I'll admit that getting the attention of the opposite sex didn't hurt my drive to get better, but as I matured I discovered my passion was in the creative process. I loved writing songs from an early age in high school. So by the time I was in college I was addicted to it." And if you can find something that you are addicted to, so you can push through when the times get hard then success is on your radar. And that seems to be the case with today's guest as with the release of his last album Dig Love, and the soon to be coming The Consequence he is a man who knows what he wants in life. And we will discuss this on the show, but it feels like he has found it in his own heart, the creative process, and every-time he closes the door behind and comes home. So where does he get the inspiration for the songs that seem to be come easily to him? And does he look back as his life and ever think "Man, if I only had made a different decision at that point then life would be so much different?" Why is it in life that so many people decide that they are going to do something new and exciting, and then quite simply copy what has been done before?

We see so many times that the world fails to grasp that the easiest way to success is by finding the thing that they love doing and then building a business around this.

It is the absolute quickest route, as when things get hard, the love will push you through the tough times.

The ability to want to do it more and more (just because you want to do it) is the key to it all.

And so in this episode of Join Up Dots, your friendly neighbourhood host live from Spain, shares his feelings on what we should do to make things happy in our lives.

Enjoy!

Accountancy leads to a lifestyle business we would all want.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who was recommended to me by Danny Flood who appeared on episode 293 of the show. He said to me “I have a friend that you have to have on the show, as she has done something that all entrepreneurs want to achieve.” I said to him “What’s that Danny…tell me more!” And this is what he told me. Our guest went from running a time-sucking accounting consulting firm where she could never “turn off” from work to create a profitable productive service based business. And best of all this company has grown from 0-$15k MRR in 12 months, while scaling herself out of the operations to surf and spend time with family. Yes, whilst so many entrepreneurs are finding themselves trapped by the business that they have created our guest today has found the utopia that the world seeks. But its been a bit of a strange road to where she is today, as it was clear to see even as a young lady that she had the entrepreneurial spirit in abundance, evidenced when she started ‘Get a Grip Tennis’ a tennis coaching business . Over a period of 2 years she grew the business to a customer base of 70 and employed 4 assistant coaches. So you can see that she had the ideas, the hustle, the persistence, so why then slip into a quite convential route of acounntacy and auditing? And now that she gets chased by sharks through the waters of Australia astride her surfboard, does she have a blueprint that can work for anyone? Or is the lifestyle she has achieved, and that anyone can achieve, 100% down to the decisions that an individual makes? Do you have a bad Father? Or was your Father not around that much when you were growing up?  Well, today’s guest joining us on the Steve job inspired podcast, grew up the youngest of 3 boys in a suburb of Dallas where he lost his father to suicide at age 11.

Subsequently as a young man, he did anything he could to avoid confronting the wounds he suffered as a result of being fatherless.

His craving for affirmation from a father who was not there to provide it, led him to seek that affirmation from the world in many unhealthy ways.

In an attempt to find value as a man, he created a false persona that left him completely unfulfilled.

His life was based on the pursuit of money in order to prove his success and he became a social alcoholic as he strived to be the life of every party and gain the attention of those around him.

It was only when he realized and dealt with the unresolved issues of his father wound that he was able to become truly fulfilled.

On April 10th, 2009, he finally came face to face with the issues that drove him to seek approval from a father who was not there to give it to him.

By forgiving his father and recognizing what it truly means to be a man, he became a new man, husband and father.

And now with his film The Father Effect” highlighting to the world the damage that fathers do unwittingly to their kids, he has become an award winning producer, happier than ever, and on a mission to change lives.

So does he think that without the tragic ending of his father, he wouldn’t have got to this position now?

Did he need that to start of the sequence that has lead him to the happiness he is feeling today?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who is moving forward into his future by keeping true to his past.

Based in Waynesville Ohio, he is an American Country music artist, who has released a long list of chart topping hits in the world of traditional country music, and delights audiences across America with his brand of infectious honest to god country.

And its with little surprise that he is travelling the highways and byways, as this is a passion that has been with him since the early days.

As he says "I knew that music was what I wanted to do from an early age. We just were country people who loved country life. I remember in study hall, I would get out my guitar and we’d go pick and sing"

But what makes this guy even more interesting, is he does all this whilst still being a farmer and barn designer/builder by trade.

Yes he manages to to makes an honest, blue collar living at the same time as playing over 100 events/shows each year, all over the country.

How he fits in the two I have no idea, but we will find out during the show.

He credits much of that philosophy to the work ethic and morals that were instilled in him by his parents.

He says “I grew up on a 110 acre farm. We always had plenty of livestock, horses, and cattle – plenty of chores and things to do. We didn’t have a whole lot of money growing up, but we never went hungry or had any wants. I know what it’s like to go through hard times, but by the same token, I wouldn’t trade the way I was raised for nothing. It made me decide and realize that in life, you get what you put into it.”

Along with his band he is certainly doing just that all over America. with music as he says that is "Country, the way country music was meant to be"

So with a foot firmly planted in the worlds of Hank Williams, Hank Snow, and the Ryman Theatre legends, what does he think of the new style of country music being released today?

And if he could go back in time and record with anyone, who would he choose?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who has stumbled into the entrepreneurial world.

She is the owner of  Ash Said It LLC, which is a full service public speaking boutique, hosting  receptions, fashion expos as well as upscale soirées.

Which sounds great, but its the joining up the dots which is the most important part of this show.

So how did the ex-military lady transition from Uncle Sam to Fashion Avenue?

Well as she says “I had no plans to build a company. The thought never even crossed my mind. The past few years have been tough.

I took care of my mom for 3+ years, and being a full time caregiver is a lot, although I would easily do it again.

My mother never taught me how to be a lady.

She showed me through her actions. She never let anyone take advantage of her meek yet resilient spirit. Thank God I inherited that spark!

I buried my mom in 2014, which was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done in my entire existence. I was lost.

My heart was no longer in military service. I needed to leave but I had no blueprint on where to go.

I did many odd jobs that year.

Helped build multiple brands & had nothing to show for it.

Then one day a light bulb went off in my head. Why the heck am I wasting time helping people disinterested in helping themselves? Why don’t I pour my 13+ years of industry experience into something I can call my own. That’s when Ash Said It was born!

And at that point we will start the show, as it is a moment that every one of our guests have hit in their own lives.

That moment when they realise that their life is their own, and everything they do should be on their own terms.

It’s the responsibility to create their own future.

So how did she move from this idea of creating her business, to actually earning her first dollars and attracting her first clients?

And looking back on it all, has it been harder than she could have imagined or simply a dream from start to finish.

Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Ash Brown

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who deserves to be on this show, as she is one big collection of dots.

She is an entrepreneur daily, and has been for many many years.

And the kind of dots, that although difficult to deal with at the time turn out to be the true gifts in ones life.

As she says “Sometimes life lessons are right in your face waiting to happen to you if you just surrender to the call.

But it took me a long time to get into the position where, my passion had finally fallen out of the sky and smacked me in the face hard!”

And this she found in the form of Yoga, and she then created her dream business that is going from strength to strength.

Providing what her clients want, her family want and of course what she wants too.

As she says “I have been a entrepreneur for 20 years I know what it feels like having to create your wealth!

But I also knew that your health & inner strength matter more in this adventure of self mastery! Being a entrepreneur is all about Self: Mastery, Discipline, Awareness, Confidence, And Worth etc. You have to believe then apply the gift to create the Magic!

In between the “Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda”, I became a Yoga Instructor, Holistic Health Coach, owned a MMA Promotion Business in Atlantic City with my husband (the last one was the stress factor). “

Which lead to her being the Founder of Down Dog Wellness, as she craved a way to create a bridge between work stress and life, enlightening awareness daily.

So did she always have the desire to create such a business, or was it in direct result of her four years working at New Breed Fighters, dealing with cage fighters and the entertainment industry.

And is the right business a pleasant experience, or does it still have days when you want to stay in your bed and let someone else deal with everything?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who has lived life like a entrepreneurial mountain climber.

You start building a business from scratch and things go great, but then you realise you have to go down the other side of the mountain to tackle the big climb.

The climb towards the dream that you deserve.

As she says “I started my first business as a freelance copywriter back in 2001 because I was MISERABLE at my corporate J-O-B of 13 years.

I felt out of balance not spending enough time with my three daughters and being there to take them to brownies and soccer and music lessons.

I wasn’t at work enough either….it felt like a no-win situation.

When my third daughter was born I had had enough and summoned the courage to take the scary leap and quit.

My entire life I have always done the right thing.

I went to college. Got married. Had three kids. Bought a custom home in the right neighbourhood. Had a responsible job at a good fortune 50 company. I was secure, yet still felt unfulfilled.

I learned the hard way that ‘doing’ the right thing doesn’t always bring happiness and fulfilment – how I am ‘being’ is just as, if not more, important to creating a life of purpose and profitability.”

Which sounds like a typical story of disillusionment and then taking control, but as I say there is two sides to the mountain.

What do you then do when the initial success starts dropping, and you find yourself doubting your talents, your work ethic and well….everything?

Well as she says “I worked hard and built my copywriting business alone. I started as a ‘generalist’ and after a few years specialised in the healthcare industry. A local hospital hired me and I LOVED working with them for many reasons. I had been reading about choosing a niche and knew I had found my home working with healers.

I built my freelance copywriting business up to around 50K and, after a few years of success, my copywriting business starting dropping suddenly.”

And that is where we will start todays show.

So looking back can she see what was going wrong, or was this just a part of the journey that she had to go through?

And how does she balance her family life with her business now? Better, or has the two blurred into one glorious day?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is Sara Kaler, a lady who is climbing higher and higher into the rarefied world that we all want to have.

She is loving her life, loving her job, providing huge value to her clients, and looks great too.

She is a huge healthy package of glamour, professionalism and speciality is helping women CEO's scale & grow their businesses for global impact without burnout.

And that one word "burnout" reveals a huge amount of what our guest has been through in her life.

Mid-way through her corporate career she began to have series of grand mal seizures due to stress and exhaustion.

In the span of ten years she spent more time in hospitals being analyzed, tested and assessed than most people do in their adult life.

My health had become a part-time job (and some years, my full-time job), and my body had become a story about injury, illness, disease, diagnosis, being different, not belonging, not being enough, not being capable, and most definitely NOT being strong.

As you can imagine, this led to a lot of soul-searching.

She knew something had to change, but she didn’t know what.

And as we see time and time again on Join Up Dots, when the dark times are at the darkest, there is a deep learning waiting to be had.

Their is a gift within the struggles, and this was the case with today's guest, as pulling herself out of the darkness, she found the thing that she knew the world was waiting for, and needed help dealing with.

As she says "I suffered a massive health crisis at the top of the my career, transformed my life and created a massively successful business in an impressively short amount of time.  I support my clients on similar paths.  I stand for and support my clients creating high performance results, legacy and an extraordinary life; knowing all of these can co-exist.

I know it’s possible for everyone and it requires being an extraordinary leader.  I believe women in leadership are changing the world and being financially abundant and well managed allows us to lead and build legacies without limits."

So how has she taken this realisation and converted it into a business which not only powers her, but also has become her own personal legacy?

And does she see the same issues in her clients lives time and time again as we all try to balance everything in our life, and more often than not fail?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who calls himself the coolest guy in SEO.

And when you see him perched on his motorbike, in leathers and wearing a contented smile of "Yeah baby....I have created something amazing come and check it out"..then you think then he is probably spot on with that name.

He has created Ardor Media Factory an online company specialising in content marketing, content writing, search engine optimization, search engine ranking, keyword research, web analysis, web design, link building and image linking

After obtaining his degree in 2006 degree in Software Engineering from Queensland University of Technology. he decided to scratch his itchy feet by heading off to London.

During his time in London, Dublin and Brussels, he worked under contract with Euroclear, Visa Europe and Sony Research & Development.

But it was when he really stractched his itchy feet again, and started backpacking around the world a few years ago then one of his big dots really jumped out infront of him.

As he says " because of my love for software development, I built an online game. As the completion day came near for the game I made, I thought that I should learn how to market if anyone else is ever going to play with it. So, I started studying how Google works and learned about Search Engine Optimisation. I quickly discovered how important backlinks are – not just any backlinks, but only quality backlinks with relevant and compelling content on powerful industry-specific websites."

And the rest is history.

Not easy history, in any shape or form, but one that has seen steady growth, a move from his home country of Australia to set up in Davao city in Philippines in January 2013, and now clients flocking to his company from across the globe.

Life seems good and should be good, as he has taken control of his own destiny, and worked his socks off to make things happen.

So does this kind of success simply come from putting one itchy foot in-front of the other until you start too see things happening?

Or is there a blueprint for all of us to follow, as we look to leave the corporate grind, and sit on our own motorbikes to ride into our special futures?

Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only, Mr Cool SEO Guy Mr Kris Reid.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who the majority of the world need to get into contact with at sometime or another.

She is a sleep expert who over the last years has positioned herself as the go to person to help you drift off into a pleasant, restful and recharging sleep as soon as your head hits the pillow.

As she says "I understand that sleeping, while on sleep medication isn't really sleeping. I understand that falling asleep, but then having to lie awake for hours in the middle of the night isn't really sleeping, and I understand that waking up just as tired as when you went to bed isn't really sleeping either"

So hands up....come on people be honest "How many of you have fallen into one of these sleep patterns over the last few years?"

Yep, I know that I have, so how has our guest managed to find the solution to something that plagues all of us at one time or another.

And the answer is, she has been on a journey of self discovery, upskilling and putting herself and her knowledge out there

Starting her journey as an English teacher in Luxembourg, she had a pretty standard career for a few years until she got to the point when her interest in corporate coaching and sleep patterns became too much to ignore.

And she took the leap of faith, leaving her career in education in 2015 to start something new and inspiring.

And since then with a huge amount of hustle, commitment, perseverance and of course struggle she has built her hugely successful business coaching successful and career driven women (and inspiring men) on how to get a solid nights’ sleep allowing them to wake up refreshed, with more energy, and ready to tackle their legacy and personal life.

So how has she managed to do all this whilst still getting a good nights sleep herself?

And is it as simple as learning to switch off form everything that needs to be done, or much more than that?

Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, the one and only, my favourite sleep expert ever Christine Hansen

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who went through one of the worst experiences that any parent could go through and found his path in life.

And the rest as they say is history.

Back on May 13th, 2012. Mother’s Day, his wife, Cyrena, was having an incredibly difficult pregnancy.

She had pounding headaches, blurred vision, and searing pain throughout her body.

As a matter of fact, she had been in and out of the hospital for the last two weeks.

Their tiny daughter was only developed 23 weeks in gestation.

Her due date was September 9th, 2012, and subsequently the diagnosis was not great "Less than 40 percent, but in her case it is either all or nothing. She has several good things going for her.”

But fortunately although his miracle daughter has had issues since, he, his wife and of course his daughter has seen the rise of his business due in not short measure to what he saw during those worrying times in the hospitals.

He decided from then on that he was on a mission to help physicians, and the best way to do that was to write, speak, and meet with people individually to council with them on their financial situation.

As he says "Physicians today are under fire. Reimbursements are under question every year. Taxes are getting higher and higher. They are tired by being painted as "the rich doc" taken advantage of by unscrupulous sales people. More than ever, they need direction & guidance from a trusted source."

And this is a brillaint story of adversity leading to enlightenment.

And finding a niche that is tight, well formed and of course needed. Which is the way that all good businesses and products need to be focused on.

So many people go wide and broad when actually the quickest way to success is by going deeper and deeper until you have a net that catches a select few.

You see their issues with more clarity.

You can provide the solutions more quickly.

And now with his business growing, a new book the Freedom Formula flying off the shelves, and of course his own podcast, it looks 100% like he has found the thing that lights him up inside.

But is this case?

Is he creating something that is everything that his family, and of course himself want in his life?

Or is this just the starting point to what he can now see and believes is possible?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady from the UK who has set out to create her dream, after starting in a position that could have allowed her to say "How are things ever gonna happen for me?"

As she says " After growing up in a very poor household and leaving school with very few qualifications, I went on to forge a successful career as a top performing manager, responsible for a turnover of £9m, as well as the coaching and development of staff and agents.

But in May 2014 i realised I was no longer happy in the job or the company and decided to follow my dreams and become a author/speaker. I didn't know how I was going to achieve it, but I knew I would, I also didn't know the first thing about writing a book or how to become a speaker and started by researching on google how to achieve it.

I did take a very big gamble walking away from the security of a monthly pay-cheque, but I also knew it was time to go.

Friends and family thought I was living in cloud cuckoo land to think I could at the ripe old age of 46 take my career in a completely new direction and ultimately live the dream.

Colonel Sanders was 65 when he founded KFC so being 46 didn't put me off.

I didn't let their lack of faith stop me, I knew after growing up with very little and achieving what I already had anything was possible, so I started on my new vocation."

Well when I heard this I just had to have her on the show, as this is the classic example of finding yourself in the position where other peoples beliefs could quite easily have become her legacy.

Allowing herself to be held back by their lack of vision.

Staying where she was by the fear of doing what others think is possible.

And now with her own self-named company going from strength to strength, she is now a recognised authority on confidence and personal development.

And has been a regular guest on TV and radio, as well as a keen participant in a women's organisation whilst also organising and compere at events to raise much needed funds for charity organisations.

So how did she manage to push through the doubts, insecurities and bad advice of others, when so many people will listen and crush their own dreams, due to not believing in themselves as much as they do others?

And has it been harder than she expected, or plain sailing?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who has a background in a background in engineering, marketing and management.

Which has lead to her creating a business around.... ill let you think about if for a little while......lead generation, personal branding, communications, public speaking, social media marketing, and digital marketing.

Yeah you didn't see that coming did you?

And I guess neither did our guest today, but it is true to say that at her core she has creativity flooding through her veins

As she says " I was always an artist and writer at heart, but thought that marketing was the best way to make a living doing something that required creativity.

After a few years working in an insurance company, I realized that the corporate environment wasn’t for me, and thats when I made tough decision to leave the comfort zone of my corporate job and start my own business."

But her adventure had a rough start. There were many unknowns, including her ultimate mission.

Which is the amazing part of what Join Up Dots has become for so many people across the world.

It is where belief grows into action, and action grows into whatever you want for yourself.

You cant see the real dream right at the very beginning, you just have to find out the vague direction that you want to go in, and then start walking.

So how did our guest manage to meander her way through the obstacles and create something amazing for her, her clients and of course the world?

And when she looks back does she have those "Man, what was I thinking...I could do it so much quicker now" thoughts?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is an man who many people would stop and think “Wow, that was a risky decision to make” when you hear what he did.

He is the Automate Grow Sell - Quick Talk Podcast host and loves his life bigtime.

But that wasn't always the case.

When he was a younger man he had a job with the word famous bank JP Morgan.

This was a position that had kudos, status and would have been seen as a great career by many.

But not for our guest today, as when he was 25 he left this safe and secure position to start his own cleaning business.

Well, that doesn’t sound too bad a decision to make, as we hear time and time again in Join Up Dots, he had taken control of his life, and more importantly his time which make such a difference.

But how about I add that he took this decision when his lovely wife was pregnant with their first child.

Yes at that period in your life when your future is 100% uncertain and out of your control, he did the unusual and plunged into the dark.

But with hustle, and persistence he grew the business until it was generating over $150,000 a month in revenue and then sold it to a national buyer.

During the last two years that he owned his company, he only worked 5 hours / week on the business, but it still grew at 35% per year.

And now from his home in Costa Rica, he now runs twos two internet based businesses with a small team of professionals from all over the world teaching how to bring automatic systems into your life.

So where did he find the resolve and strength of character to leave his banking job at the very time when most people would cling to what they have got?

And do the systems that he teach work with all types of businesses, or only online ones?

Well let’s find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Joshua Latimer.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who in all the episodes of join up dots I dont think I have ever said these words

Yes, she is and was the Australian Person Of The Year in 2012, and is also a Doctor, a professional pianist, conductor, and music educator, consultant to HSC music students, The Sydney Opera House Baby Proms and The City of Sydney.

And tying it all together, is the fact that at her core she is a lady with music flooding through her veins.

But unusually a desire to use our love for music to inspire, help and well make the world a better place for less than fortunate children, by taking Jazz into quite an different setting.

Numerous studies have demonstrated the positive effect that music can have on children, helping to stimulate parts of the brain related to memory, creativity and emotional development.

So in 1997, our guests formed Kinderjazz an Australian musical collective who has been composing blues, ragtime, jazz and swing music for children, releasing nine albums along the way and performing in some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including the Sydney Opera House, Daring Harbour, Parramatta Stadium, Stadium Australia and many more.

And this is a journey that has really connected with part of her life since a small child.

As she says “My mother was a teacher and ran her own Montessori kindergarten. Music was always a big part of our lives. All the adults growing up played instruments and sang and we were taken to live performances on a regular basis. When I had my own children, I wanted to duplicate this experience for them but I found that there wasn’t the same quality around and so often children’s music was delegated to a fluffy character and a backing tape. Jazz is something that all kids respond to because of the beat. It’s dance music and there’s such a variety of genres in jazz it seemed the ideal thing. Also jazz with its solos and fresh improvisations would nurture a small child’s curiosity and gratify their imagination in the process. I chose Big Band because it would give children exposure to all the instruments of the orchestra.

And when you hear that she was mentored by great musicians namely Isador Goodman and Leonard Bernstein to name just two.

Is there any wonder she has a burning desire to pass her knowledge on!

So when she sees a sick child smile and clap along to the infectious beats of live jazz, how does she remain professional and not crumble into a pile of soggy tissues?

And are there more and more of these kind of music lead groups occirng in the world, as it seems to me to be a perefect match of inspiration, and fun, that can only help the healing process along the way?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who truly has a fascinating story that has lead him to being massage therapist by profession, and the founder of Relationship Minimalism, a relationship philosophy designed to answer one question.

Is it possible for men to apply the 80/20 principle to create love, connection, stability, and sexual passion in a long term relationship with their wife or girlfriend?

Well if you have listened to more than a couple of episode of Join Up Dots you will have have heard me talk often by love of Paretos Principle, but I have never thought of it being applied to people too.

And when you see the amount of seemingly unconnected dots that have occured in his life then you can see that I just had to have him on the show

As he says in his own words

From the age of 5-10 I grew up in Venezuela, Mexico and Indonesia. When we got back I couldn't fit into Canadian culture and ended up homeschooling myself to finish high school.
I had serious aspirations of being a professional songwriter for the first 10 years of my adult life and learned extreme self honesty - I'd work on an idea for weeks and then realize it wasn't good enough and start over...for nearly 5 years.
At the same time I fell into a career as a live TV cameraman and shot my first NHL hockey game when I was barely 21, making me the youngest in Canada.
I wound up in massage therapy school on a whim at 23 with no intention of working as a professional, I just thought it would be a good skill to have if I ever got a wife and family.
As he points out "No one really creates a master plan to set off as a songwriter and do TV broadcasts on the side while going to massage school so they can spark a revolution in the way men relate to and understand women. But it certainly all makes sense now."

I love this feeling of "Hey lets go and do this, as it seems a good idea" as that is how we find the thing that lights us up inside.

Not by waiting for the passion to magically appear around you like some people suggest.

Get out there, do things, talk to people, and be aware of what is on offer, which is exactly what today's guest did and continues to do today.

So when did the idea of using the 80/20 in the environment of relationships first occur to him?

And was it a "Wow, I have just discovered something that can change lives" or more "Oh, i see what I have been doing over the last few months....better put a name to it?"

And does he think he has now found his life work, or is this just the start of the journey that was waiting for him?

My guest today is a man who not only has been mentioned to me by many many people since starting the show, but also is a man who I seem to stumble over across the internet.

Take a look at Richard Bransons Necker island, and who should I see wandering around but him.

Go over to podcasts, blogs, e-books, whatever and you seem to find this man, his passion, his vision and corse his worth ethic everywhere you look.

He is an expert in many areas, but direct response marketing seems to the ney to it all/

His is on fire for sure, but delve into his back story and you will find a man who could have ended up very differently.

When he was just two years of age his parents emigrated from Russia, and it seems obvious that this moved has instilled in our guy a willingness to take risks and create his own destiny.

By 14 he began by selling medical equipment for his father's College Park, MD medical supply business at age, before in 1998 he undertook his first entrepreneurial venture: a $900 marketing course for cosmetic surgeons.

By the time he was 26, he was making $10,000 to $15,000 a month teaching physicians how to improve their sales, even though he thinks of himself as a techno dunce.

Its is recorded that he has produced more than half a dozen seven figure online businesses since then.

So you can see that this is a guy with an eye for an opportunity and the hustle to make it come true, but where is his focus now?

What does he see as the true legacy that he will leave on the world?

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who believes 100% that we all have the power to create the perfect day (and by rights should be doing just that.)

He is a Productivity & Success Transformation Coach from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and funnily enough the author of the book The Perfect Day Formula: How to Own the Day and Control Your Life.

He has been a contributor to Men's Health magazine since 2000, and his articles have also appeared in Women’s Health, Oxygen, GQ, Maxim, National Geographic, Men’s Fitness and Muscle and Fitness Hers, amongst many others.

With many other articles also being featured on Inc.com, LifeHacker.com, and Telegraph.co.uk.

But of course the journey towards being known as the "the Godfather of fitness info marketing" starts with an understanding of what you enjoy most in life, and then building a business around that love.

We have to find the belief that there is more possible in our own lives before trying to changing the world.

And this was certainly the case with today's guest, who like so many young men who now earn their living in the fitness industry, he found the love early in his life when he played a lot of sports day after day.

The competition, the physical challenge and of course the outright fun was what lit him up inside and made him want to do more and more.

So he then focused his energies on weight training, before realizing that he wanted to be a strength coach in professional sports.

He had found the starting point that had lead to the amazing business that he has today.

If just one part of what it has become.

As of course we all know, that being fit is just one half of what makes us ready to tackle bigger and bigger challenges, to build amazing success in our lives.

The physical will always bash against the mental.

So by setting your stall out everyday to tackle the world in the right way, you are giving yourself an amazing platform to then become the version that you would want to be too.

They work hand in hand to create a powerful force of self improvement.

But dont think that this a dot to dot story that was a breeze from start to finish, as our guest has had to overcome many obstacles on his journey to success, even tackling his toughest battle with crippling anxiety attacks that could have stopped everything before it began.

So looking back on his life, was he lucky that he found the thing within himself to build a business around?

Or is this a doorway that most people have waiting for them to walk through if they only work on asking the right questions?

Todays guest entrepreneur joining us on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots podcast is a man with many strings to his bow.

And also one of the most unusual stories that I have heard that has got him to where he is today.

So lets start with the unusual stuff, so as he says in his own words

“A few years ago, a co-worker of mine straddled two parking spots while parking a compact car. I watched them do it, look around to see if anyone noticed, and then walk into the building where we worked.

I was sitting in my car listening to the morning DJs talk about the start of our huge station promotion, and I was monitoring to make sure they explained it correctly. You see, I run radio stations for a living, and it’s my job to make sure the talent on the radio do and say the right things. It’s like babysitting extremely talented and temperamental babies (who usually drink a lot).

After they were done talking and started to play the commercial break, I gathered my phone and bag and headed toward the door to the building. As I passed the terribly parked car, I decided to stop and take a picture. I wanted to expose my co-worker on Facebook and have others join in my jeering of their terrible parking job. A part of me just wanted to poke fun at them, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that this poor parking job was an extension of something bigger: a sense of entitlement and a slight disregard for others, coupled with plain old laziness.

I posted the picture and tagged the co-worker in the photo. My comment consisted of only two words: Try harder.”

And now with a flourishing blog entitled, you guessed it “Try Harder” which has now inspired two books, and a business that is rocking and rolling where he is one of the top minds in radio broadcasting and has enjoyed success as a talent coach, where he has advised and mentored hundreds of personalities to make them among the top talent in the industry, he looks like he has really found his things.

So from one single bad case of parking his life now has gone in a totally different and exciting direction where new doors are opening everyday.

And did he ever have the faintest idea that he was on the path to writing a book and inspiring the world to Try Harder?

And are these two words that he allows lived by, or has he raised his game because of them?
