Entrepreneur Success Stories With Join Up Dots - Inspiration, Confidence, & Small Business Coaching To Start Your Online Career

My guest today, on the confidence inspiring Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who at his core understands that true business success is built by making the experience that customers feel, as good as humanly possible. Take a look at all the big boys, Amazon, Apple, Virgin to name just three, all have a background on providing what will make the customer truly satisfied (even if the customer doesn't know they want it at first.) He is the owner of Triple R Marketing, where with over 20 years’ experience in Marketing and Sales, he has helped small local businesses and brand-name Fortune 500 companies alike become leaders in their industry. He has worked alongside world-renowned author and sales expert Jeffrey Gitomer, and has helped businesses promote their products at high-profile events such as the Sport Emmy Awards, although never once losing sight of the small things that make such a big difference to his customers. Such as the astonishing tale of buying a complete caramel shop from closing for business, simply because his customers loved the handmade caramel packs that had quickly became a key part of his business. When he got word that the store was closing, the entrepreneur in him kicked in. He knew he had to reach an agreement with Fischer to keep the caramels available for everyone and in January of 2016 he took over as the new owner of Joan’s Caramels. And if that isn't enough on his plate, he developed an app called Fanvious that allows food and merchandise to be delivered to your seat while at a sporting event or concert. And with the success of the app he has been featured on the weekly television program Inside Indiana and also spoke at the IAVM 2015 Arena Management Conference on the ‘New Technology for Improved Fan Engagement.’ So what is it that excites him most invention, or satisfaction? Is it the creation or how his customers respond to his work that gets him out of bed with a spring in his step? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr. Matt Rudelinger. Show Highlights During the show we discussed such weighty topics with Matt Ruedlinger such as: Why he feels it is so important to allow free-time within his business to be there for his family, which is a core value of starting his entrepreneurial route in the first place. Why being satisfied by the service that we receive as a customer is now the absolute minimum that we should expect from a business. Which makes it harder and harder to create viral word of mouth support. Why Matt loves the metaphor that there is a reason why the front windscreen to a car is a lot bigger than the rear. As it's only what's in front that truly matters in life. and lastly…. If you are going to close down your business then always think "How will my customers react to this" and if you think they wont be happy, then find another way of operating.

It’s with great delight that I get to speak to Candace Rose Rardon, a lady, who was first introduced me to a guest who appeared way back on episode 15 of the show Mike Sowden. After the show without hesitation he told me, you have to get this lady on the show “as she is having an affair!” Well actually, I don’t know if he did say that, but they are the first words that you see on her website “The Great Affair” But what does this mean? Well let’s tell you more about her, as you will see this lady is seriously in love with life, travel and her art, and experiencing life not just living it. She is an writer, sketch artist, and illustrator, and now calls the world her muse. She travels with a passion to capture not just the images, and architecture of the world, but also the flavour and emotions too. This makes her unique in my view. She is someone that shows us through her words and also her amazing sketches how she sees the world. Her character and personality shines out through her work, like no photograph can ever capture. So how did this all start, well we find out during the show. But like my own life has been changed by the Steve Jobs “Join Up Dots” speech, it there to see that hers was changed by the words of Joseph Campbell who once said “We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” And now in her own words, “Seven years ago, I hesitantly took Campbell’s advice. I let go of the life I had planned and opened myself to the myriad possibilities the world has to offer. While stepping off the edge of my safe existence into the unknown was a terrifying prospect, I also had a feeling that something incredible awaited me if I could take that initial leap of faith. Life has been a crazy adventure ever since.” So what is it about travel that lights her up, and is it all plain sailing or are their times that she longs for a cubicle in a grey office somewhere? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Candace Rose Rardon Show Highlights During the show we discussed such weighty topics with Candace Rose Rardon such as: How she will never lose the appeal of having movement in her life, but realises that now its the movement of energy and passion that is the most important. How she had to build up her confidence levels to travel the world by first travelling to England and New Zealand…close enough to America but different enough to appeal. The moment when her big dot appeared and a single conversation changed her life forever. How she finds it so surreal that she has found a thing in her life that people will pay for, and will never lose that wonderment each time income is earned. And lastly…. You will find out what she misses most during her travel in her life – the pillow or the bed….and that is a deep question.

My guest today, on the confidence boosting Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who a few years back was disappointed with the current mental health care solutions he was offered after suffering from stress in the workplace. So like so many guests, he didn't accept what he saw and decided to take action, turning to alternative therapies which got him through and beyond this temporary stress. These solutions began forming into a business idea which led him to creating Stressbox in Jan 2014, and he took these learnings into the corporate environment to help with de-stressing in companies everywhere. As they say "We are an up and coming mental wellness fitness brand with a social purpose to support the epidemic of work related stress. We succeed in this by creating innovative holistic fitness workshops, in-house talks on preventing stress and performing our epic yet different fitness class….StressBox. Our powerful class combines Boxing fitness with Mindfulness all to wonderful music to inspire and enlighten you within our 1 hour experience. We create magic moments in our bespoke classes to suit your busy schedule, at StressBox we understand that time in this hectic world is valuable so we combined Holistic health with musical fitness to have greater impact on your mindset not just your body." To succeed in this new business, he researched stress in society for 2 years via practical innovative coaching and academically using Neuroscience, the science of meditation and positive psychology. And rapidly this knowledge became a cult hit at a popular gym in Birmingham, England with teachers, doctors, entrepreneurs, and teenagers becoming fanatics with his alternative style. So why if he had an issue with stress did he then decide to build a business around it, and not run to live stress free on a hot tropical island somewhere full of bikini wearing beauties? And is this as a real life issue, or do so many people just use the word as a badge of honour nowadays? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only, Mr Liam Joe Blackwood. Show Highlights During the show we discussed such weighty topics with Liam Joe Blackwood such as: Why so many people find themselves in situations in their lives which doesn't naturally match their skills and talents - which can obviously lead to the kind of stress which can be avoided. Why the power of visualisation is such a powerful process in building success in a persons life, and the steps that we should take everyday to bring these visions to life. Liam Joe recalls the battles he overcome in the early days to get his vision out to the world, and the steps he took to get there. Why we should never overthink anything in our lives, but simply look to do the best we can in the most relaxed method possible. That is always the best way. and lastly…. Why Liam Joe allowed himself to feel creative and playful in his life which was a complete gamechanger and turned his life around forever.

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who I'll be honest with I stumbled across on the web. And every now and again you see something on a website or about page that you think "Yeah that is spot on in every-way" Well today's guest had a line about how she operated in her business at the beginning which said "I pretended to have my shit together in a life-coach imposter kind of way" Wow, let's think about this. This is a lady who was happy to say, look guys I am working at this everyday of the week. I have good days and bad, and sometimes very bad. But I keep on coming back to it, as it's what I wanted to do. And aren't we glad she did, as now she is rocking and rolling as a relationship coach from her base in Canada, where she coaches clients across the world in how to build the strongest relationships in the world. She is a TEDx alumni, international trainer, coach and writer, and with a BA in Sociology and as a certified Life Coach, she has provided guidance to people from every walk of life and income bracket to improve and empower their lives for over 25 years. As they say "She has a knack for simplifying the most complex problems into small doable steps that create lasting change." So did she always want to be in the relationship business and deal with peoples problems in such an intimate and powerful way? And where does she see this all going? Is she on the hot spot of her timeline or still working towards something in her life? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Beth Hanishewski Show Highlights. During the show we discussed such weighty topics with Beth Hanishewski such as: Beth admits that she is a tragic marketer, but is always blown away that people can find her online, which will always come down to being good at what she does!. Why she feels that she became a relationship coach by accident, and explains how she now loves being paid for doing something that she loves...but that wasn't always the case. and lastly…. Why it is so important to live through real world relationships and experiences and get something from every stage you encounter.

Todays guest entrepreneur joining us on the top rated podcast inter Join Up Dots is a slight departure from what we have seen recently. Elizabeth grew up in New York State, where she sang pop songs by Madonna around the house and started writing her own pop songs at an early age. Then when she was nine years old her school music teacher told her she had the voice of an opera singer, and took her to see her first opera. Her great-grandfather was a virtuoso musician who signed with Victor Records in the 1890’s, but no one else in her family ever listened to classical music. Which is a really interesting position to find yourself in. Most people will struggle with fighting their way to a new future even if they are surrounded by people that have the same passion as them. But find yourself in a world, where very few people understand what is going on inside you then it comes down to a huge amount of hustle muscle, and personal belief. And so she worked at her talent, found the right people to work with and a few years later sang her first classical piece, and has never looked back. But even more interesting is her refusal to do things any other way than her own, and is blending many different styles into her repertoire, even comedy with an off the wall version of “Hot Stuff” by Donna Summer. So with all the avenues in front of her to travel, how does she make the decisions that will be right for her own career, and not dilute her natural born talent? And does she embrace the hustle that it takes to build a career, or would she like to just get up there and belt them out? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Elizabeth Tyron. Show Highlights During the show we discussed such weighty subjects with Elizabeth Tryon such as: Why Madonna is such a great role model for anyone struggling with lack of focus and an inability to deal with the knocks that life will deal you. Why being authentic to yourself and living a life on your own terms is the only way to go as it leads to finding your tribe so much quicker. How the hustle muscle is not something she likes doing, but has learnt how to let things simply figure themselves out.. And lastly…….. How it is so important to find the sweet spot within your own talent to maximise the rewards for the minimum effort.

Today's show is a coaching based episode whereby David Ralph, the host of Join Up Dots, and founder of Dream Starters Academy Coaching talks about his week and how he has come to the realisation that everybody needs more confidence in their lives. After talking to a couple of listeners this week, discussing their businesses and their lives it become evident that the number one thing that was holding them back is the belief that the results that they will get may not be good. They are unwilling to put themselves into a situation where the work they are doing behind the scenes could turn out to be not as good as they hope it will be. They are unwilling to test out the perfection they feel that have in their hands. And that is the problem with perfection...we want to cherish and protect to keep that perfection real in our mind. But that is not the way that life is, and its certainly not the way that we should be operating. What is the point in having something beautiful in our lives if we aren't allowing the world to see that beauty? There is no point at all. So in this episode of Join Up Dots, your host David Ralph gives you his view on what makes confidence and how we can take small actions everyday to grow that much needed belief system in ourselves. He also tells a story about one of the biggest listeners that Join Up Dots has Mr Mike Buckerfield from Wales, and the life-changing battle with Welsh Ninjas that he had this week. And of course we hit part three of the Gargle Game, the online phenomenon that is taking the world of podcasting by storm

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who first appeared back on the show on episode 433. On the show we followed his journey from a small boy born with asthma, but instead of his parents giving him medicine when he needed it and keeping him away from sport and exertion, they instead encouraged him at the age of four to go skiing. On the mountain tops, where the air is thinner would seem a strange place to send an asthmatic child, but actually they laid the first dot in his life…the love of doing things differently and a desire for adventure. As he said when asked about his desire to be a true adventurer “The notion of being an adventurer is great, the more adventurers we have in the world, the more nature will be respected. By getting closer to the environment – at 3000 metres watching the sunset, or being underwater with a clownfish, seeing the difference between corals that are alive and corals that are dying, we better understand the world around us. We, as humans, need to touch or see things for ourselves otherwise we can’t fully relate to them. If you don’t see something, you don’t feel it. I think that can be extended to everything. The more people that ride bikes around the world, the more people that climb mountains, the more people that get close to nature in any form, the more advocates we have for conservation.” And now with an additional passion of creating sustainability in mobility, he is travelling the world inspiring everyone he meets to get out there bicycles and pedal happily, with a serious message behind it all. Bicycles are simple, sustainable transportation and an essential element in disaster assistance and poverty relief. They fulfil basic needs by providing access to healthcare, education, and economic development. The mission, to provide access to independence and livelihood through the power of the bike. All interesting stuff I'm sure you'll agree. So of course we have all used bicycles for years as a form of fun and exercise, so why should we have a campaign like this when the world should be saying "Yeah, been doing it for years!" And where does he see this heading for him, into more campaigning and perhaps political aspirations? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr. Manuel Bustelo Show Highlights During the show we discussed such weighty topics with Manuel Bustelo such as: Why being an adventurer is such an amazing life, although it doesn't remove the financial difficulties that plagues most businesses like you might think How he was inspired to enter into the world of sustainable mobility after seeing the terrible oil spill in the Caribbean, and felt driven to tackle it head on. Why Cities like Amsterdam are taking the lead in sustainability, which proves that it can be done with the right mindset. and lastly…. How to connect with him directly to find out more information regarding this subject and where it can lead.
